The entire team at Port Adelaide Vet clinic have been fantastic with us and our cocker Pepper in the four years since we brought her home - from squeezing us in for last minute appointments to being happy to answer questions about her care by phone. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the care and concern you have displayed towards the bashed up Sulphur Crested Cockatoo we found in the gutter on Monday. Its hard enough to find a vet who's smart about birds, let alone a vet who will spend so much time on a rescue. The advice from Dr Shaun on our second visit was spot on and Cocky is tucking ravenously into some bottle brush - so it doesn't seem like he'll starve after all. Thanks again, Kris and James (and the unnamed cocky).

I would suggest getting a second opinion from somewhere else before agreeing to anything at this practice..Not only did another vet advise not to worry doing dental work on my 13 and 1/2yo dog as she ...
I would suggest getting a second opinion from somewhere else before agreeing to anything at this practice..Not only did another vet advise not to worry doing dental work on my 13 and 1/2yo dog as she would be lucky to get through a procedure that long quoted at $1718 to do seperately or at $952 to do two procedures together at this practice, they also completed a growth removal for her that was quoted at between $1203 -$1568 at this practice for $838 with all medications, 2 follow up appointments and preoperative blood tests included. Quite a significant difference price wise and health wise to my ageing best friend. To say i was displeased would be an understatement.

I find the staff very caring regarding our cat BUT having made the very hard decision to pass him onto another carer, I found Lisa's demand for immediate payment incredibly insensitive....other vets have always either asked for payment prior to service or agreed that payment online or the next day is absolutely acceptable. To deal with the insinuation that "in this circumstance" I may not choose to pay (of grieving the end of an 8+yr relationship) is highly disrespectful. I will never use this clinic again.

I first met Shaun when he was based at Modbury. From the time I met him I knew that he was someone very special who cared for his patients with the utmost care in their treatment. I felt complete confidence in Shaun & his abilities to look after my loved ones. I followed Shaun when he left Modbury to go to Pt Adelaide, travelling from our location at Golden Grove. There is no other vet like Shaun and his lovely, caring wife Lisa who is the pratice manager and nurse. They are a 20 out 10 rating without a doubt. Their caring compassionate natures extend in their lovely staff Michael & Zara whom are always there with a warm welcome when we arrive. My little Bundi always felt comfortable and loved whenever he had to attend his vet appointments. I felt complete confidence in Shaun & his abilities to look after my loved ones. I followed Shaun when he left Modbury to go to Pt Adelaide, travelling from our location at Golden Grove.
