I have used this practice for some years. I have found them to be very friendly and helpful. They give a much longer consultation than most vets and are very thorough. The attitude of staff is extremely caring.They are where I go if I am really worried about my animals, even though I moved a long way away from the practice four years ago. I am happy to be back living close by again.Dr P diagnosed my cat's heart problem when no other vet had. She would have died very young if she had not been treated for this issue. Then, when the same cat became extremely ill with a mystery illness they gave her exceptional care. I once found two of them hand feeding her with a syringe for the third time on a Sunday. They had kindly called me in to see if I wanted to take her home for a night as she had pulled her drips out several times that day and they wanted to give her a brief break from having them in.On another occasion my other cat had severe tooth problems which the vet I had taken him to see at first did not identify. I was out of phone contact for a few days at the time, having left the cats for boarding while I travelled to remote outback areas. The tooth issue was diagnosed during a routine check while I was gone. The cat was in a lot of pain and when I was back in a mobile phone service area I found the practice had called many times urgently requesting permission to operate so my little guy could be out of pain. This is compassion.They do a great job.

We are so delighted to have found such a caring veterinary clinic! Their service is excellent and it is clear that they love the animals they care for and want the best for them.We had taken our puppy elsewhere and found that despite their doing a checkup they couldnt find anything wrong. Thank God we decided to get a second opinion and take our puppy to Dr P and her team, who during her checkup found why our puppy seemed so unwell. From that moment they did everything in their power to assist our puppy on the road to recovery as well as help ease our concerns and answer the many questions we had.We HIGHLY RECOMMEND them and could not be happier!

I recently bought my first cat from the hahndorf animal shelter (definitely recommend if you are looking for a new friend) and in my usual manner researched everything I could on owning a cat including whether I should invest in pet insurance, the best kitty litter, and the best vet. I am so glad I found these guys. The nurse and vet were both so kind and friendly and very loving to my cat. Both offered great advice to me regarding my cat. They even rung up a fe days later to see how my sick little darling was going, how many doctors do that with us human patients? I am so happy I found these guys, they seem to have genuine care for the pets they look after and were so caring and kind to both myself and my cat. Important to note I also looked up other vets including glen side and I was treated with an abrupt and rude manner when I called to get quotes and get a feel of the place.I would also like to add that recently I found an abandoned kitty whilst looking at a unit to rent in unley. The little thing looked like it had been in a scrape so after trying to find its owner (found out later owner had abandoned it after it got sick) I picked it up and took it into this lovely vet. They immediately helped me and gave me the sad news that this cat had cancer in its ears, nose and throat. They took the cat and tried to find its owners then rang me when they couldn't contact the owners and told me the bad news. After a lengthy (and emotional) discussion we decided the best thing was to put it down. I had offered to take it home and give it love while we waited for the end but at the end of the day the vet said she was in a lot of pain already and the treatment of giving her painkillers until she passed away wouldn't guarantee a painless end. Very sad but great to know how much a vet is willing to do for an abandoned animal.

BRILLIANT!! Cannot recommend highly enough. Dr P is one of the most caring, knowledgable, and genuine people I've ever met, let alone a wonderful vet. Our dog recently had a bad experience with our local vet and so we sought out a vet with a more natural approach. From the moment I phoned the staff were very friendly, eager to help and give our pooch the best quality care possible. They arranged to have his records transferred to read through his notes before his first appointment and when we walked in we were welcomed and the environment was calming, caring and not rushed. In the first consult Dr P checked him over asking him if she can check here and there and our pooch was completely relaxed and even fell asleep in the waiting room afterwards while we were arranging the follow up!Overall a very positive experience and I feel confident that our pooch is now getting the best possible support.
