Two completely wrong diagnoses (kidneys not work) and wrong treatment ended up with euthanasia of my cat. I went to the real vet clinic (Pet Universe) but was too late. Blood test show kidneys were perfect. She had FIV in the last phase (HCT 8%, HGB 2.7, WBC 43). If had been diagnosed correctly 7 weeks ago, she may had a chance for couple more years. I choose the wrong vet. Do not repeat my mistake. Read Less

We took our senior dog there last week for his vaccinations and we were very impressed with the quality of care. Our dog was made to feel calm before the vaccinations and it was over before he knew. We have had other vets give him injections and he has always flinched and that didn't happen with the vet there. The staff were very friendly and explained everything in detail and listened to what concerns we had about our dogs health. We will certainly go back again and tell all our friends to go there. To begin with, the staff (both vets and nurses) were rude. There was no water or treats inside the clinic for pets. Scales were inaccurate for weight of animals (confirmed this later on). Incorrect shots were given for our adult dog and puppy. The vet confused the vaccination cards for both of our dogs - he was reffering to our adult male whilst reading our puppy's vaccination card and pointing to her. He then proceeded to come out with a shot - which we believed was for our puppy because he didn't believe she had the particular shot, and began to give it to our adult male. We explained that he was viewing the wrong card and that we also hoped he did not give the animal the wrong shot, and that our puppy missed out on a vital vaccination. He explained that our adult male needed it, despite realising that he had read the wrong card. I asked if we were going to be charged for the wrong shot (which is what he intended, prior to saying "it was an added bonus for him). Fortunately, after confronting them, we were not charged for the unnecessary shot. In conducting the consultation, the vet was rough with the animals - like nothing we have ever seen before. We were asked to conduct duties to the extent of the vet nurse (assisting with the consult) - it seemed that administrative duties were more of a priority to assisting with the consult, despite having 3 vet nurses working, an empty waiting room and one vet working. Our adult male German Shepherd has never had hip and elbow issues, and we later confirmed that there are no issues present with our regular vet. However, the vet at the clinic stated that he is beginning to develop hip issues (at 2 years old) - despite having good hip and elbow scores, and good previous check ups. He extended the legs beyond what any vet has previously done, which caused pain and discomfort. We believe that this may have been a ploy to get us to invest more unnecessary money to fund what ever scam of a business they are operating. To put things simply as both a customer and a pet owner: I only gave them one star because I was required to in order to review this. From the pet owner perspective, if this place was the last vet clinic on Earth, I would rather try to study the practice myself rather than take my animals back. They have been more distressed in the past 24 hours than I have ever seen. Read Less

I have been here twice for my cats Noah and Freddie (brothers) first visit was due to Noah doing serious damage to his tail. Dr. McKenzie was fantastic with treating him, almost need to amputate a small amount of Noahs tail but luckily Dr.McKenzie saved it and it didn't cost me a fortune. 2nd trip was only 3 days ago when both my boys have come down with Calicivirus (cat flu) and Dr.McKenzie did a wonderful examination and treated them with what they needed and all with in my budget. I highly reccommend The Gardens Vet. I will add though that I would love some sort of payment plan option if i ever got a bill over $200, even though I do have pet insurance you still need to have that money on the day or your pet may not get the care it needs and lets be honest who has more then $200 laying around these days. I will continue taking my 2 cats Noah and Freddie and my German Sheppard pal Jacks. :) Read Less
