We have been bringing our golden retriever Kenny to the Southern Vet Group for many years. My sister and I would like to express our deepest gratitude to Nurse Harriet and Dr Alex for taking extra care of Kenny for his last trip home. It was a sad time but Nurse Harriet was especially kind to Kenny and she made the extra effort to make sure his last journey was not alone. I also want to thank the Southern Vet team for helping us out with such short notice.
May he rest in peace.

The vet were friendly and nice before, but not now. I was so disappointed two weeks ago, when I took my cats to there. The young male vet was not friendly, he even did not check my cats thoroughly. He just roughly checked the fur on the back of my cat, and said no fleas. He did not check her ear. And when we came back later, I found she still kept scratching her ear. I googled this, it turned my cat might have ear mite. So disappointed, my cat was not well, so I was looking for the help from the vet. But, they just could not do it. What is the point to be a vet? Just for the expensive fee!!!!

I have used this vet for years when it was owned by a father and son and it was wonderful. Love and care and kindness. It has been taken over and is part of a group and the service has dropped significantly. I take my pets in for a check up each year. When I took my pet in this year because she was unwell I was informed they expected me to pay a $1,100.00 dental bill. They said they had it on my pet's records over a year ago that she had tartar and now she would need teeth removed. They said they were prepared to remove services to reduce the fee such as fluids which help a pet to come around and not have headaches and feel sick. I asked why they did not tell me a year ago that my pet needed dental attention and the young girl who seemed inexperienced asked me what's the difference. The difference is that the fee for my pet has increased by double and my pet has had discomfort lately as a result of their neglect and they have not considered how my pet would feel, just thought about the profit they would turn. When I phoned around to other small practices (not part of a group) I found the fee dropped to $450.00. Therefore Plympton Vet is pocketing over $500.00 in profit. Their solution to reduce fees was for my pet to have less fluids and products which would have been important for my pet to feel well. I am very concerned about the motivation and the drive behind the staff. I do not trust them.

After an afterhour emergency with our 6 week puppy Coco, staff opened their doors to us and helped our fur-baby back to perfection. And now take both of our dogs there, and couldn't be happier with the support they offer. We highly recommend Plympton Veterinary Clinic, without hesitation. 👌👌👌

Staff behind the counter are very friendly. The vets we've seen so far have been fantastic. Our dogs are well looked after every time they visit. The place is clean. Boarding kennels also offered as a service. The kennels are located at the back of the clinic. There's a small open grass court yard for the dogs to run. Staff were happy to give us a tour of the kennels upon request.

I called to quote the price for cat grooming which will be $126. Dropped the cat at he morning and received a call form them at afternoon said that the cat not clam and need full anaesthesia and will be $296 And I asked them did they even try? they told they didn't even try it yet and my cat already half anaesthesia. Been here couples times and always the same issue that called for extra money. Don't really care to pay extra if they explained clear to me on the phone. Anyway don't go there for your pet if you just prepare to spend what they quote!!!

Clean waiting area, friendly staff and the wait time wasn't too awful especially considering we booked earlier that day. This vet clinic is super spacious and modern and not cluttered with seventies decor and smelly magazines, a far cry from the vet clinics I visited down south in my youth.The staff loved our bundle of mischief and had free treats to soothe any stressed pooches. The vet we had was really friendly and patient and was quite helpful with some questions we had especially when it came to educating us about flea and worm medication.I honestly don't know much when it comes to costs but it seemed pretty fair, will be going back!

We have been bringing our golden retriever Kenny to the Southern Vet Group for many years. My sister and I would like to express our deepest gratitude to Nurse Harriet and Dr Alex for taking extra care of Kenny for his last trip home.
