I have been taking my animals here for many years, through several incarnations, and have always received high quality, competent and thorough care. Current Doctors Stephanie Crocker, Cale Weston & Stephanie Ortega all deserve special mentions for the care they've provided for my cats over recent years. Sue and all the nurses and animal carers (with only one exception after nearly a decade at the practice) have also been invaluable in helping me manage the high care needs of my old, chronically ill cat. I was disappointed recently with the treatment from some of the vets at your prospect clinic. The first vet was negative and said my dog needed an X-ray to confirm diagnosis coz we don't know what it is. Where is her positivity f pets improving?? She said we will give her another week and then you should decide to put her down coz what life will she lead. Other one was slightly more positive and said she won't be able to ever walk again. Wanted me to keep going back every fortnight to tell me no improvement, didn't even take her temperature!! But got me to buy a bigger bottle of medication for inflammation. Decided to cancel appointment and wait for improvement and my dog is walking but wobbly. She has a great life now so imagine if I put her down?? I have been to another vet who said she is improving and might eventually walk properly just needs time. Said doesn't need medication and doesn't need an X-ray. Even squeezed her glands for free in front of me coz can do her job confidently. At your prospect clinic they take her to back to do it! Why? Fees should be cheaper to encourage people to look after their pets. At new vet it was cheaper and was busy place coz people happy with the service. I hope my information improves your service to other customers. Thank youRead Less

After several unsatisfactory visits to this vet clinic, we will now be taking our dog somewhere else (we only wish we'd come to our senses sooner). Not only do they charge more than other practices, they are not forthcoming with information, even when explicitly asked for more, and they are not thorough in their work at all. We have paid extensive amounts for our dog's cancer surgery, yet have been given no suggestions of what his results could mean for his future health, nor any suggestions of how to manage it - when asked for additional clarification, none could be given. We also have received two rather different results on the same pathology, and had to pay over $70 to go back and get additional clarification on what the actual result was. Every time we go to this clinic, we see a different vet, so there is no continuity for the care of our pet, and it all feels very impersonal. General check ups involve a very brief look at gums and chest, with no questions asked about overall wellbeing, nor any suggestions or discussion on the health of an ageing dog (not to mention the vet dropped our dog on his back from the height of the examination table)! I have always believed prevention is better than a cure, yet these vets only care about the cure because it allows them to make more money. Take your pets and your money elsewhere, to a vet who actually cares about your pets wellbeing. Read Less

I will be Looking for a new vet after a very annoying "routine" visit with our dog to the Prospect Road Vet. We were kept waiting for 35 minutes because they were busy but only had 1 vet working. Then found out that we would have to pay $110 extra on the total wellness plan because his weight has put him into the next size category by 700gms. Then found out that because I didn't want to pay extra (every other visit he's been under this) that the heart worming injection they just gave him, and which I thought was included as part of the package, was going to cost $120.00 because you only get one a year. Why didn't they make the clear before giving him the injection? We will be taking our business to another practice. Read Less

Read Less

Had my cat desexed and am now having issues with her stitches and possible infection and no care has been given to my pet. I was that if there were any issues I could bring her back down straight away. The morning I call with problems I am told they are short staffed and to take her somewhere else. All this vet cares about is making money, they don't want to hear about the animal once they've got you out the door. Thank God the Walkerville vets we're able to get her straight in. I should never have trusted prospect vets.Read Less
