What a wonderful vet practice. The staff are great with pets and owners alike. Booking appointments is easy (online! or over the phone). Consultations (that I’ve had so far) are handled expertly with care and attention. The vets (Both Dr Kevin and Dr Emma ) are obviously passionate about what they do and dedicated to the animals they serve – so much so that I received an unexpected follow up phone call two days after my appointment to check that my dog was doing well.
I brought in my (recently adopted) dog in as I felt something just wasn’t right. As a newish dog owner the vet was very patient with me and answered all of my many questions. Turns out my new pooch was having an allergic reaction. They were thorough and kept me informed about my choices and best course of action.
In addition, everyone at Port Road Vet is so friendly and caring, that it is genuinely a pleasure to see them whether I am bringing in my dog for a vet visit or advice or just buying food/treats/treatment or a new toy. The Port Road Vet is very clean and bright. It was such an easy experience. They have earned a customer for life and would recommend them to anyone looking for high quality and affordable care.

I took my dog to this vet after he had been off his food for one day, and had vomitted once. They felt his tummy, told me to give him chicken and rice, said they had an injection usually but were out of stock of it that morning, prescribed an antibiotic, and sent him home.
On the way out I remembered to ask about a chronic problem he has with his leg, but the vet had already left to have a coffee or something - so couldn't come back out....
Later that night my dog started vomiting a pooing blood... and a week of horror started. I never took him back to Port Road vet because I have never considered $111 more poorly spent than to have ABSOLUTELY ZERO preparation or advice about what was potentially coming up for him.
I later had to call three other vets who were open later that night - and eventually found I could trust the care at Fullham Gardens, where he ended up on a drip to help him survive an illness of a still unknown cause...
I don't doubt it is hard to know exactly what is going on for an animal, but in this case, they said they thought it was gastro. They just left me completely unprepared for what was coming up... and to show absolutely ZERO interest in my dog.... I couldn't say anything worse about a vet. I wouldn't ever go there again.

My elderly dog and I have been fortunate to have been guided through her last years by Drs. Laurie Daube and Kevin Murnane at this practice. We came across this clinic by accident when she was still in her prime, and there was an instance in the past when it was Laurie's foresight and 'sixth sense' that saved her life. Dr Murnane is Laurie's successor, he is the new principal and he inherited us for the last months of Molly's life. Both are outstanding individuals, and you will find a great deal of competence and compassion in this practice, and you will find both in abundance.

What a wonderful vet practice. The staff are great with pets and owners alike. Booking appointments is easy (online! or over the phone). Consultations (that I’ve had so far) are handled expertly with care and attention.
