My 8 month old toy poodle suffered an anaphylactic reaction and hemorrhaging and was at deaths door when I brought her to Golden Grove vets. She was treated by Dr. Cheryl Lordan who saved her life I will be forever grateful, the staff were wonderful.

My dog had a absess on his face. Sent him home with antibiotics. Went back as burst and unhealing open wound. Vet told me no reason won't heal bathe daily and remove the scab. 7 days of trauma later had to go to another vet. Spotted grass seed hole straight away. Cause misdiagnosed and incorrect treatment had tunnelled deep into his face requiring extensive surgery. He is still healing but is sad, sore and now hates the car and the vet. DONT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS TO THIS VET

Took my dog there as he wasn’t well had been off his food and not drinking for 2 days the vet that saw him appeared to be scared of dogs she said my dog tried to bite her when she went to take his temperature which isn’t true he turned his head. I told her he had been chewing on a stick yet she failed to even look in his mouth she simply lifted his lip and said there was nothing in there. The entire consult took about 2 minutes and her diagnosis was he should be fine charged me close to $300 and sent us on our way. After a day or so of him still not eating or drinking I did an inspection of his mouth and found a decent sized splinter wedged between his front teeth and his gum I removed it myself. The poor thing became constipated and dehydrated he was still struggling and in pain for another few days after I removed the splinter. I rang the clinic and explained what had happened and was told they would have the practice manager contact me. Julian rang me basically fobbed me off with excuses and offered to drop off dog treats as compensation which of course he never followed through on. Would I recommend this vet, absolutely not. Do not waste your money on their poor service and lack of professionalism.

Yesterday was my first visit to this emergency clinic and heart breakingly we had to say goodbye to our beautiful boy Rambo. I would have no hesitation in recommending this clinic to others. The staff were lovely and helpful. But mostly, I would like to send a big thank you to Dr Wesley for his very professional service and his gentle, compassionate manner and for being very accommodating at a terribly sad time for us. Avoid this place at all costs if you can! Travel the extra distance and go to another emergency Vet. Rude staff- they were overworked and understaffed which is probably why.
I took my cat there to be monitored for a few hours after surgery on the advice of my local vet. I was told they would NOT be ringing me in a few hours to let me know how she was and ask me to come and pick her up. I wasn't sure if I should just take my cat home and the Vet said "I'm not telling you to leave her here". I would have expected a professional opinion regarding the need for the overnight care and more information about this rather than outright rudeness .

Great emergency after care. Had an issue with my boy post blocked cat surgery. Turned out to be nothing serious and was only a 2 minute consult. And they were nice enough to not charge for consult or for the nurses to express urinate my boy even though it was 12:30am. Very lovely service and obvious that they genuinely care about their animal clients.

Outstanding vet. Pity that they were so busy on such a lovely day. Reception/ nursing staff were brilliant with people and distressed animals. I was given a little china bowl of water for my pup and allowed to wait outside in the sun to reduce her anxiety until it was our turn to be seen. The vet came outside to greet us and establish a rapport with the little one in pain before guiding us into the treatment room. Swift pain relief and realistic treatment plan provided. Only asking for $130 for a Sunday consult while others charge $270! (medication extra of course). Very happy.

Such wonderful caring staff. We have been attending their Salisbury South Vets4Pets since early 1986 and have always gone back because of the personal care they bestowed on our loved ones.
This includes their 24 hour Care Centre in Golden Grove for when Emergencies strike out of hours.
Their knowledge is also wide-ranging as we have taken them the usual dogs and cats but also turtles and tree frogs plus rabbits.
I have no hesitation in providing the highest recommendations for their Group.

Very disappointed. Been going here for 17+ years and getting conflicting stories regarding payment options. Made me feel like street trash. Usually reception staff are fantastic but today whoever she was must have been having a bad day. Think its time to take my money elsewhere, its obvious thats all vets4pets care about are the $$$$. To top off my experience today i had to wait 45minutes before being seen with no warning of the delay for the second time in 2 months, needless to say my poor dog who suffers from anxiety was getting quiet distressed by the bigger barking dogs.

Many bad experiences and they don't care about animals just money! My dad got told his dog would need to stay over night in intensive care so he went up to see her and she was jumping around fine, there was nothing wrong with her so he took her home. Myself I rushed my dog up there who had a grass seed in her ear and they wouldn't treat her because I didn't have my credit card and said you could be just someone off the street so I called my dad who came up and on his way he called them and said she's my daughter; not someone of the street. So they helped her but then said to me lucky I got her in because any longer it wouldn't went further. Well that's why I rushed her there. I also had my dogs puppy go there at 4 weeks because it missed a feed and I paid for intensive care but they didn't do anything I'm sure because I was there asking them to do it and they just stood around doing nothing telling me that it will probably be a waste of time so I left hopeing they would I wish I had of stayed to make sure I'm sure they just took my money. We have pets that are apart of our family and we love them. Only went there because it was the closest but now I go to blakes crossing vet and they are 24/7 and care

Staff at Angle Vale and Golden Grove have been fantastic to our pooches. Can't rate pricing and empathy for emergencies at Golden Grove high enough. When our girls had an accident about 6 months ago, where one cut their pad pretty badly and had to have it stapled back together, while the other dog had nicked an artery in her arm and needed strips and a bandage, the bill was over $800 but reduced to less than $500 when the treating staff said "we understand the need to have 2 dogs so they have a friend but we also understand the cost and want to help". Angle Vale did all the follow up bandage changes/care and adminstratiom of pain relief, which is a service that could not be faulted. The lovely follow up enquiries and reminders always remind you how much the practice/team at Angle Vale care. Worming tablets are cheaper through the practices than pet stores too! I think we pay about $50 to worm both our girls for 3 months.

i was about to leave for work at 7:30 Friday morning when I noticed my poor dog kept shaking his head. Tried to look in his ear and he kept yelping. Rang Vets4Pets G/Grove who were able to see him straight away. He was seen by 7:45. As it was quite painful and he wasn't cooperative (so sorry about the bite Rachael! ) he had to be sedated. I had a phone call 20 min later to say he was all fine and they had removed a grass seed from his ear and he was waking up. I paid the bill over the phone and organized for my son to pick him up a few hours later. They made what could've been a stressful experience 2 days before Christmas very easy. Rachael was lovely and made the experience very stress free and the girls at the desk were great. thanks again for looking after Milo

Always answer any questions I have in a friendly manner, never cold and clinical. Able to call at any time and check on my cat which gave me an enormous sense of relief and peace of mind. Will never step foot in this place again! Took my dog into emergency on the Sunday night as he wouldn't put weight on his paw after jumping off the couch. Was sent home with anti-inflammatories. By the morning it was much worst so went back in. The vet I saw basically said "what do you want me to do"....? I assumed he needed an X-ray so said well do we need to X-ray it... he said sure. At 2pm this vet called me to say there was an infection and he needed antibiotics. At 4pm my partner collected him and was now told he had a bee sting, to which he asked does he need antibiotics, he was told no and told he doesn't need a follow up. Last night he ripped off his bandage (which we thought was a little strange to have in the first place) to find deep incisions which we knew NOTHING about! Obviously freaking out I contacted vets for pets golden grove and spoke to someone at the desk who has obviously not done much in the way of customer service. There was no apology, there were MANY excuses and a tonne of attitude. We then went to pick up the antibiotics he had originally needed at 11pm. After calling multiple times to find out what the hell they did to my dog I've still heard NOTHING! I contacted my normal vet who was able to read the file and explain that an abscess type lump was drained and that he needed a follow up appointment! The complete opposite to what we were told! I'm very understanding of human error but this was conducted unprofessionally and with zero regard for myself and my pet. Had he not been on the antibiotics... would this infection have been made worst... Of course... and I wonder how long it would have taken them to tell me he needed them, if ever.... They still haven't even told he why they cut my dogs foot open! An explanation and an apology would have gone a long way....

Just had the most traumatic experience at the Golden Grove Vet. Had to take our dog there as he was so very old and unwell. The receptionist/nurse was told that we would wait until the canulla was put in and then we wanted to be there when our loving dog passed over. They were told twice, the vet was told twice, that we did not want to be there while they prepped him but wanted to be there when the injection is given so he would have family there. The nurse that came in with the vet was also told, we stepped out. Then we were called back in and Jack was already gone. Our goodbye was stolen. You cannot take that back. Tears flowed, anger welled. Sensitivity was not there, empathy was not there. The male veterinarian's face when asked why did you not wait was blank. So now not only grieving, shell shocked at what happened.

These guys are great. I've taken my dogs here through all stages of their life through to the end including some pretty traumatic situations and they have handled them with empathy and pure profesionalism. Having a 24 hour emergency centre as well means you always have a place to go when something goes wrong. They always are happy to talk on the phone but obviously can't always advise 100% on what to do without seeing your animal. Dont hesitate to go here. The only downside would be parking is limited but as its really not a service issue I havent talen off stars.

My dog had a absess on his face. Sent him home with antibiotics. Went back as burst and unhealing open wound. Vet told me no reason won't heal bathe daily and remove the scab. 7 days of trauma later had to go to another vet. Spotted grass seed hole straight away. Cause misdiagnosed and incorrect treatment had tunnelled deep into his face requiring extensive surgery. He is still healing but is sad, sore and now hates the car and the vet. DONT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS TO THIS VET

Took my dog there as he wasn’t well had been off his food and not drinking for 2 days the vet that saw him appeared to be scared of dogs she said my dog tried to bite her when she went to take his temperature which isn’t true he turned his head. I told her he had been chewing on a stick yet she failed to even look in his mouth she simply lifted his lip and said there was nothing in there. The entire consult took about 2 minutes and her diagnosis was he should be fine charged me close to $300 and sent us on our way. After a day or so of him still not eating or drinking I did an inspection of his mouth and found a decent sized splinter wedged between his front teeth and his gum I removed it myself. The poor thing became constipated and dehydrated he was still struggling and in pain for another few days after I removed the splinter. I rang the clinic and explained what had happened and was told they would have the practice manager contact me. Julian rang me basically fobbed me off with excuses and offered to drop off dog treats as compensation which of course he never followed through on. Would I recommend this vet, absolutely not. Do not waste your money on their poor service and lack of professionalism.

Yesterday was my first visit to this emergency clinic and heart breakingly we had to say goodbye to our beautiful boy Rambo. I would have no hesitation in recommending this clinic to others. The staff were lovely and helpful. But mostly, I would like to send a big thank you to Dr Wesley for his very professional service and his gentle, compassionate manner and for being very accommodating at a terribly sad time for us. Avoid this place at all costs if you can! Travel the extra distance and go to another emergency Vet. Rude staff- they were overworked and understaffed which is probably why.
I took my cat there to be monitored for a few hours after surgery on the advice of my local vet. I was told they would NOT be ringing me in a few hours to let me know how she was and ask me to come and pick her up. I wasn't sure if I should just take my cat home and the Vet said "I'm not telling you to leave her here". I would have expected a professional opinion regarding the need for the overnight care and more information about this rather than outright rudeness .

Great emergency after care. Had an issue with my boy post blocked cat surgery. Turned out to be nothing serious and was only a 2 minute consult. And they were nice enough to not charge for consult or for the nurses to express urinate my boy even though it was 12:30am. Very lovely service and obvious that they genuinely care about their animal clients.

Outstanding vet. Pity that they were so busy on such a lovely day. Reception/ nursing staff were brilliant with people and distressed animals. I was given a little china bowl of water for my pup and allowed to wait outside in the sun to reduce her anxiety until it was our turn to be seen. The vet came outside to greet us and establish a rapport with the little one in pain before guiding us into the treatment room. Swift pain relief and realistic treatment plan provided. Only asking for $130 for a Sunday consult while others charge $270! (medication extra of course). Very happy.

Such wonderful caring staff. We have been attending their Salisbury South Vets4Pets since early 1986 and have always gone back because of the personal care they bestowed on our loved ones.
This includes their 24 hour Care Centre in Golden Grove for when Emergencies strike out of hours.
Their knowledge is also wide-ranging as we have taken them the usual dogs and cats but also turtles and tree frogs plus rabbits.
I have no hesitation in providing the highest recommendations for their Group.

Very disappointed. Been going here for 17+ years and getting conflicting stories regarding payment options. Made me feel like street trash. Usually reception staff are fantastic but today whoever she was must have been having a bad day. Think its time to take my money elsewhere, its obvious thats all vets4pets care about are the $$$$. To top off my experience today i had to wait 45minutes before being seen with no warning of the delay for the second time in 2 months, needless to say my poor dog who suffers from anxiety was getting quiet distressed by the bigger barking dogs.

Many bad experiences and they don't care about animals just money! My dad got told his dog would need to stay over night in intensive care so he went up to see her and she was jumping around fine, there was nothing wrong with her so he took her home. Myself I rushed my dog up there who had a grass seed in her ear and they wouldn't treat her because I didn't have my credit card and said you could be just someone off the street so I called my dad who came up and on his way he called them and said she's my daughter; not someone of the street. So they helped her but then said to me lucky I got her in because any longer it wouldn't went further. Well that's why I rushed her there. I also had my dogs puppy go there at 4 weeks because it missed a feed and I paid for intensive care but they didn't do anything I'm sure because I was there asking them to do it and they just stood around doing nothing telling me that it will probably be a waste of time so I left hopeing they would I wish I had of stayed to make sure I'm sure they just took my money. We have pets that are apart of our family and we love them. Only went there because it was the closest but now I go to blakes crossing vet and they are 24/7 and care

Staff at Angle Vale and Golden Grove have been fantastic to our pooches. Can't rate pricing and empathy for emergencies at Golden Grove high enough. When our girls had an accident about 6 months ago, where one cut their pad pretty badly and had to have it stapled back together, while the other dog had nicked an artery in her arm and needed strips and a bandage, the bill was over $800 but reduced to less than $500 when the treating staff said "we understand the need to have 2 dogs so they have a friend but we also understand the cost and want to help". Angle Vale did all the follow up bandage changes/care and adminstratiom of pain relief, which is a service that could not be faulted. The lovely follow up enquiries and reminders always remind you how much the practice/team at Angle Vale care. Worming tablets are cheaper through the practices than pet stores too! I think we pay about $50 to worm both our girls for 3 months.

i was about to leave for work at 7:30 Friday morning when I noticed my poor dog kept shaking his head. Tried to look in his ear and he kept yelping. Rang Vets4Pets G/Grove who were able to see him straight away. He was seen by 7:45. As it was quite painful and he wasn't cooperative (so sorry about the bite Rachael! ) he had to be sedated. I had a phone call 20 min later to say he was all fine and they had removed a grass seed from his ear and he was waking up. I paid the bill over the phone and organized for my son to pick him up a few hours later. They made what could've been a stressful experience 2 days before Christmas very easy. Rachael was lovely and made the experience very stress free and the girls at the desk were great. thanks again for looking after Milo

Always answer any questions I have in a friendly manner, never cold and clinical. Able to call at any time and check on my cat which gave me an enormous sense of relief and peace of mind. Will never step foot in this place again! Took my dog into emergency on the Sunday night as he wouldn't put weight on his paw after jumping off the couch. Was sent home with anti-inflammatories. By the morning it was much worst so went back in. The vet I saw basically said "what do you want me to do"....? I assumed he needed an X-ray so said well do we need to X-ray it... he said sure. At 2pm this vet called me to say there was an infection and he needed antibiotics. At 4pm my partner collected him and was now told he had a bee sting, to which he asked does he need antibiotics, he was told no and told he doesn't need a follow up. Last night he ripped off his bandage (which we thought was a little strange to have in the first place) to find deep incisions which we knew NOTHING about! Obviously freaking out I contacted vets for pets golden grove and spoke to someone at the desk who has obviously not done much in the way of customer service. There was no apology, there were MANY excuses and a tonne of attitude. We then went to pick up the antibiotics he had originally needed at 11pm. After calling multiple times to find out what the hell they did to my dog I've still heard NOTHING! I contacted my normal vet who was able to read the file and explain that an abscess type lump was drained and that he needed a follow up appointment! The complete opposite to what we were told! I'm very understanding of human error but this was conducted unprofessionally and with zero regard for myself and my pet. Had he not been on the antibiotics... would this infection have been made worst... Of course... and I wonder how long it would have taken them to tell me he needed them, if ever.... They still haven't even told he why they cut my dogs foot open! An explanation and an apology would have gone a long way....

Just had the most traumatic experience at the Golden Grove Vet. Had to take our dog there as he was so very old and unwell. The receptionist/nurse was told that we would wait until the canulla was put in and then we wanted to be there when our loving dog passed over. They were told twice, the vet was told twice, that we did not want to be there while they prepped him but wanted to be there when the injection is given so he would have family there. The nurse that came in with the vet was also told, we stepped out. Then we were called back in and Jack was already gone. Our goodbye was stolen. You cannot take that back. Tears flowed, anger welled. Sensitivity was not there, empathy was not there. The male veterinarian's face when asked why did you not wait was blank. So now not only grieving, shell shocked at what happened.

These guys are great. I've taken my dogs here through all stages of their life through to the end including some pretty traumatic situations and they have handled them with empathy and pure profesionalism. Having a 24 hour emergency centre as well means you always have a place to go when something goes wrong. They always are happy to talk on the phone but obviously can't always advise 100% on what to do without seeing your animal. Dont hesitate to go here. The only downside would be parking is limited but as its really not a service issue I havent talen off stars.
