Forbes Street Vet offers a wide range of high quality services including small animal consultations, vaccinations, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, animal chiropractic and acupuncture, behaviour consultations, radiography and ultrasonography.
Forbes Street Vet is a leader in its field, providing you the client, with highly skilled services and client support and care. All this is delivered with compassion and a friendly smile.
Fees & Payment
Our practice fees are determined after due consideration of our overheads, including stock/drug/lab costs, equipment purchases & replacement, wages, insurances , electricity, rates & water fees etc.
We do aim to be competitive. Veterinarians, however, receive no government subsidy (ie Medicare) and have significantly higher overheads than medical doctors. Veterinary fees are NOT GST exempt as are doctor’s fees.
We aim to advise you (where possible) of various treatment options and associated costs before proceeding with any treatment or procedure. Please be aware that we cannot give quotes for treatments but can give you an ESTIMATE before proceeding (however this is difficult in emergency situations). If your pet is in hospital with us we will endeavour to give you regular updates on your current account.
Account Payments:
As a small business we cannot offer credit. Our Terms of Trading are full payment at the time of service and for your convenience we accept Eftpos, Visa, Mastercard, Cash & Cheque.

Leo was sick because I had to go to hospital for a period of time; so i took him to the forbes St Vetenery Clinic for blood test and all it was he has seperation anxiety and the vet said to up his fee...
Leo was sick because I had to go to hospital for a period of time; so i took him to the forbes St Vetenery Clinic for blood test and all it was he has seperation anxiety and the vet said to up his feeds and he will put the wieght back on over time. Forbes St Veterinary Clinic put mi mind at ease and were great to deal with at a resonable price, but you cant put a price on a family member!

my last vet seemed to not like animals ... but took our new puppy to this practice and instantly felt the caring atmosphere not just from vet but from every member of staff there . Last visit was last week when she went in for spraying and she was frightened , (does not like smell of vet) but everyone went out of there way to put her at ease and just felt everyone there really loves animals and genuinely cares ...would not take Abby anywhere else

Although the outcome wasn't what we hoped for, we know she was cared for compassionately right til the end and we thank you so much for that. I've been taking my four legged family members to see Dr Bob for over 30 years and have never had to complain once. Everyone there is top notch and professional. I especially love my cuddles with Dr Bob. They not only look after my furry family but they look after me as well. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

We rescued a tiny Chihuahua who needed major vet care. Mojo had only been with us for two days and frightened of his own shadow. Then his little tail wagged and we were given a lick on our hands and he then made very good friends with our other Chihuahua, Peanut. It was very obvious that Mojo was in pain and we took him to Forbes Street vet and spent some time with Lorraine. Much to our horror, she found an absess in his anal gland area which was very inflamed, he needed dentistry work, desexing of course, vaccinating and other things that became apparent whilst under anaethestic. We would like to extend our gratitude at the care given to our new little family member and he is now doing fantastically well... enjoying a walk in the park and games with Peanut
