Last week I came across an abandoned lamb. Having no experience in caring for such a vulnerable creature I was desperate to save its life and I needed help. After being turned away from the vet at Exeter and knowing Launceston was too far away for the lamb, I stopped at Tamar Valley Vet Clinic... From the minute I walked into this clinic, with 'Batman' the lamb, I was amazed by the care and attention we received. Dr.Greg Hopwood and Callum treated this abandoned lamb with such respect and care. Despite other pets with appointments coming in I did not feel that we were an inconvenience or 'time wasters'. The team are absolute professionals. I was so thankful for the level of attention Batman received... They denied an emergency after dog was thrown from a car. Told us my dog was perfectly fine and with in a month, passed away from cancer she had for over half a year. Ridiculously over priced. Absolutely terrible. Read Less

Great business and a highly recommended vet. Went out of there way to help us by rescheduling an appointment a few times in one day when we couldn't get our rather large recently adopted puppy into a car due to a huge fear of cars she developed some time before we adopted her. I certainly hope the individual who has been slandering this business is prosecuted too the full extent possible. How one vet in middle of a surgery on an animal under anesthesia can just drop everything and attend to another defies coming sense. The only result of that would be a second fatality. It is difficult enough to run a small business without people like that. If possible under law would be great if this individuals name could be released, i am sure no business in the west tamar would like the risk of doing business, or any type of work for this person. This vet saw my cat on Boxing day a few years ago when he had a broken tail. After years of taking my cats there I have found them to be very caring and helpful.
