General Info
We will ensure your pet recieves the best attention from your first visit to your
last.
We do consultations (New pets, cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds),
surgical therapies (Spay, castrate, caesarian, laparotomy, enterotomy,
orthopaedics) dental treatment (Scale, polish, extractions), radiography (digital
system), ECG.
We will soon offer Ozone Therapy, PEMF treatment and Hydrotherapy as well as
grooming for your pet.

I can't say enough good things about David Boersma and the wonderful team of staff at Sandy Bay Holisitc Veterinary Centre. Not only has David managed to CURE our Akita's epilepsy with his incredible homeopathic knowledge, but he is the most gentle and sensitive vet we've ever been to. I will not take my dogs anywhere else from now on. After being led to believe there was nothing that could be done for the Akita's epilepsy other than drug an otherwise beautifully healthy dog ...to total incapacitation (the drugs were not stopping the fits anyway), I am so happy to see him at 9 yo being the bright-eyed, active and happy beast he should be, totally drug-free. David also facilitated a home visit to put our 11 yo Labrador to sleep, after several weeks of trying everything he could think of to make him better. Some of the complimentary therapies offered at the clinic are amazing, and of course the in-house pathology and analysis is brilliant. I couldn't recommend this clinic highly enough. See More

Our cat Sushi stopped breathing late one night resulting in a very hurried visit to David, who had been recommended by our daughter & Martina a vet in Launceston. What a wonderful caring man he is, including the staff.
There were several visits to David in the ensuring weeks & I'm happy to say that while Sushi is not a well pussycat, she is the only one that doesn't know it. She's still with us & it's all thanks to David, Mick, Karen giving such wonderful care. We cannot thank David enough & fully recommend him.

We have been taking our two dogs misty & Roxy to David for around 8 years & strongly recommend anyone to take their pets to this very friendly veterinarian & his staff who always provide our dogs with loving care, both dogs love going for their visits to see David & get excited when they know where they are, previously couldn't get them out of car to visit any other vet had to drag them in, thank you so much David & staff for your excellent care :)

Can't rate David's practice highly enough! His compassion for animals and thorough but gentle approach mixed with creativity and homeopathy has achieved great results for our beloved cats.

I can't say enough good things about David Boersma and the wonderful team of staff at Sandy Bay Holisitc Veterinary Centre. Our cat Sushi stopped breathing late one night resulting in a very hurried visit to David, who had been recommended by our daughter & Martina a vet in Launceston. What a wonderful caring man he is, including the staff.
