I have several pets birds cats and dogs. I have attended this clinic for many years now on various matters for my pets. During this period i have found the vets and staff to have had good contact skills and have had good results from thier work some of my pets are still on succesfull on going maintanance treatment.
In april 2016 my bichon 'may' finally secumbed to a rare disease NEO SPOROSIS, after 9 months of on going treatment. During this period my little girl was cared for extremely well and every avenue was persued in a major effort by all of the vets and assistants who were involved with her treatment. We knew that previous cases were not always able to be cured from this disease but we gave her every available treatment and investigation. She did recover bloods wise but the action of the disease left her not quite as fit as a 7 year old dog should have been, but she was happy to be with me and was comfortable. I had 9 worrying but 9 very loving months with her that i will be forever gratefull for ,thanks to thier research and treatment.
Came the time she took a turn for the worse and thats when we had to say goodbye to each other, i still cry for her even now. The vet on call that day was wonderfull, caring sympathetic and agreed my little girl should not have been asked anymore of, considering her past huge efforts to get on top of her disease.
2 weeks after i recieved a beautifull and touching card from 2 of mays primary vets that i still have next to mays photo . I cannot speak highly enough of the vets and assistant at this clinic. We tend to forget that they have very stressfull situations every day and a good outcome for them must help them through the sad and stressfull cases and the hard parts of thier jobs euthanaising animals ect.
I am most greatfull to them all and confidently continue to have them care for my animals. Thank you to all staff.Colleen Spears . Read Less

Took our puppy with a broken leg in - receptionists/vet nurses were lovely and caring however the vet herself was absolutely horrible. Called up the next day to see how she was progressing and told "no comment" to all enquiries in regards to her condition and expected date of surgery. Kept pushing for an amputation which was totally unnecessary. Ended up taking her out and placing with another vet who operated on the day and rang us to update us twice each day and has provided wonderful caring service.
Facilities out dated. Vets are insensitive & rude.
Have made a complaint and yet to receive a
response.

I took my 10 week old kitten to get checked i thought he had eat mites, which he did. She cleaned his ears and put some stuff on his neck and said the liquid would kill the miyes once they hatch and would work quickly. 2 weeks later and he's still uncomfortable with raw scratches inside his ears. Wasted $100 i will not be back. Another vet said i was suppossed to be given a bottlw of drops to take home which i wasnt given either! Wasted my money and my poor kitten has to suffer longer. I took my rabbits here to be castrated, clipped and immunised. It cost me near $600
I was ASSURED the vet was rabbit-savvy and even had rabbits of their own. This is important because rabbits need extra care when anesthetized.
My pets were sent home WITHOUT pain relief and they were clipped so close I had to keep them in a heated room and make them jackets in the middle of spring. Not only that, their skin had been nicked in so many places I had to continuously check they didn't get an infection. They were discharged by an assistant who wasn't even present at their surgery and the Vet wasn't available to talk to me at all about the procedure.
I will NOT be taking my pets here again!Read Less

Last year my kelpie cross hurt her leg. We took her to a local vet immediatly. But after a couple of weeks it became apparent that the local vet had misdiagnosed her injury, so I booked her in to see Kim at the Launceston Veterinary Hospital. As soon as Kim looked at her she knew her leg was broken. She did some xrays and put it in a cast as well as giving her a thorough check up. She made sure that we knew everything that was going on and that we were very educated in helping our girl through her recovery. I cant speak highly enough of the care and compassion we recieved and how well she was looked after at her follow-up appointments.
