When you find a vet who cares, respects and loves your pet as much as you do, you know you and your dog have been blessed. I found such a vet in Doctor Mark Mackie. As a first time dog owner I found Doctor Mark readily imparted his wealth of knowledge and expertise to assist me in properly caring for. and training my dog. Over the next 15 and a half years Doctor Mark diligently followed up on my concerns and post operative procedures and generally looked after my dog's well being as if she was his own. In the last day of my beautiful dog's life, Doctor Mark showed such integrity and respect for my dog and also helped me through one of the saddest times of my life. Mark Mackie, the original owner of this vet clinic, is a wonderful vet who cared for my dog with tenderness and heart and respect. His deep knowledge was always shared freely and he was a wonderful emotional support through all of my dog's difficulties. My dog has now gone, she's off eating eye fillet steaks in the sky, but I have no doubt that her difficult journey through life was made easier through the care delivered by Mark and his team. Dr David Stasiuk was super friendly, informative and caring when our puppy got the snip a few weeks ago. He had been a little unwell and David and his nurse were extremely thorough in the check up of his history and post operative care. It was a really positive experience for us and our pup! We have been taking our pets to the Mackie Family Vet Clinic for several years and have had nothing but good experiences. Mark and his team are very professional, friendly, and supportive. We have had chickens who needed care, and it is a rare thing to find a suburban vet who knows their way around livestock animals. Our re-homed dog needed specialist surgery for a torn uterus, and again Mark was very helpful, even engaging a surgeon to attend the clinic for the procedure. Could not recommend more highly! Professional and friendly. We visit Mark's clinic every 3 weeks as our cat has an allergy condition that requires ongoing vaccination. Staff are always extremely friendly and helpful. One can get a pretty good idea of the standard of a place, by the level of professionalism (or lack thereof), demonstrated by their staff towards potential customers. Very shabby. My beautiful Pointer Molly reached 16 and a half, but it came to when I felt her quality of life had deteriorated. I took her to the clinic for assessment, which was very thorough and professional. We agreed that her time had come, and so she was euthanased. It was very peaceful , dignified, kind and compassionate - Mark and his staff were so caring and supportive. Losing a best friend after so many years is very hard but I can recommend the Mackie Family Pet Health Centre as offering the very best in caring veterinary services. Thank you Mark and staff.
