Staff are so helpful, friendly and caring of both pets and parents! They do lots of extra activities outside of being a vet (e.g. information sessions on pets and animals, social interaction groups for dogs, etc). They have a wonderful membership program called "Best for Pets" to reduce vet and other general pet costs (worth every cent). They have an in-house lab for blood and urine tests, and they operate a small hospital for surgeries (not emergency). Taking pets to the vet can be very stressful but taking them to this vet makes it so much easier... and pleasant. On my last visit the nurse was disappointed when I arrived to take my dog home... she wanted to cuddle her for longer!

I took my dog here because I couldn't get into my regular vet. This was my first and last visit with this vet. On walking into the consulting room there was dog hair all over the table, which concerned me if they clean up after the previous animals (obviously not). I came in, to see if my dog had a Urinary Tract Infection(UTI), they took a urine sample with a long thin needle and sent it off for culture, while doing this I noticed something crawling across the table, it was a tick. The vet also took a glucose reading, because my dog is diabetic.
When I got home I checked the reading and found a high amount of ketones in her urine, which this vet never told us. They said there was never any at that time, which is total BS. So I don't even think they did this test at all. To make things worse they lost the urine culture in transit, probably didn't do this test either.
I rushed my dog to the emergency centre however after three days, we had to put her to sleep. The day after, this vet sent me a text saying don't forget your next appointment. I stress to anyone reading this don't take your dog to these people, they don't care and just charge for tests they don't perform.

Great services. Called in for an emergency booking and got one for a next hour.. They even call back to check on your furry friend's health. Amazing front staff and vets.

Don’t choose this vet.
I was came for a general consultation. But the Doc gave us lots of tablet, and keep trying to sale their dog food. Cost us $257 😡

Extremely dissatisfied. I attended with my dog to have a small bump looked at and possibly removed from his head, if recommended. Incidentally, the bump happened to go away relatively soon after. I was quoted over $700 to remove it, which in itself I have no problem with if that's their price. However, I was told that if I signed up to their member plan at the price of $400 then the surgery would be $300, a total of $700. If I refused to sign up as a member, the surgery price would still be $700 anyway. I felt pressured to agree to this despite declining numerous times, and I was also pressured to have my dog's teeth laser-cleaned which I declined. Saying no once, even twice should be enough, after that it started to feel quite unpleasant and ridiculous. I understand that this is a business however I was surprised that, in my opinion, I was subjected to high-pressure sales tactics. I would have happily paid the quoted price for the surgery however I was very unimpressed with what I felt were efforts to pressure me.

The Blackburn Vet team looked after our dog Cherry for 17.5 years. We built a special relationship with the team over the years. When I took Cherry to the vet during my pregnancy, the staff helped me get her in my car and helped me carry her canned food to my car, without me even asking. They were sincere, loving and candid when Cherry was close to the end. We highly recommend this clinic, all the staff are excellent and they are the best team you can choose to look after your pets.

Staff are so helpful, friendly and caring of both pets and parents! They do lots of extra activities outside of being a vet (e.g. information sessions on pets and animals, social interaction groups for dogs, etc). They have a wonderful membership program called "Best for Pets" to reduce vet and other general pet costs (worth every cent). Taking pets to the vet can be very stressful but taking them to this vet makes it so much easier... and pleasant. I took my dog here because I couldn't get into my regular vet. This was my first and last visit with this vet. On walking into the consulting room there was dog hair all over the table, which concerned me if they clean up after the previous animals (obviously not).
