The staff are very kind, caring and knowledgeable and they genuinely seem to love her. They are very thorough and always manage to find the root cause and treat her accordingly. They are also very accommodating and trustworthy: sometimes when Holly has an issue, they allow me to leave her there for the day as I need to go to work. My cat has very complex health issues and we nearly lost him due to negligence at another practice - we were so lucky to bring him to Burke Road Vet where they literally saved his life! I have been a client at Burke Road Vet clinic for well over 20 years and cannot recommend them highly enough. I primarily see practice co-owner Dr Donna Pyke but have seen co-owner Dr Tina Missen and a number of the other vets on staff from time to time when Donna isn’t on duty. I have 3 dogs who are not only loved family members but also active agility dogs and they regularly see the vet to keep them all sound and healthy. My dogs have always been treated with the utmost respect and care as have I. All of the staff, receptionists, nurses and vets are very professional and caring. They take the time to listen to my history and observations during consultations which is so important to me. I honestly feel like my dogs are just as important to the clinic staff as they are to me. I’ve been going to Burke Road Vet since i was a kid with our family pets and now with my own pets. They are a great clinic with an animal loving team, they are all sincere and always very helpful and caring. I feel 100% confident in all the vets and vet nurses abilities and realise they too only want what is best for my fur children. They have helped me through one of the toughiest decisions one has to make for their pet and showed geniune care and thoughtfulness in the process. Working in the industry myself i too have high standards and Burke Road Vet meet mine. It’s a tough field caring for people’s pets, sometimes quite trying (because they can’t talk to us and tell us what is wrong) and people forget that, but never the less, very rewarding. Reviewing on behalf of my mum with her kelpie Pip. This clinic goes above and beyond in its care for animals. Pip is not an easy dog and this clinic always looks after her to make her visits to the vet as easy as possible. When an appointment was needed at short notice, the staff looked after Pip by making an appointment time available. The vet also followed up with a phone call to check on the welfare of Pip. Have been going here since my first dog was a puppy over 8 years ago and I absolutely love them. They look after my dogs better than anywhere and I trust them completely. My Staffy had her floating patella fixed up when she was a puppy, and my Frenchie her nose opened up (both by the amazingly talented Donna). Tina, Donna and the rest of the staff are always super friendly and helpful.
