I took my cat to Caulfield vet a month ago whereby blood and urine tests were done. When the results came back, I received a phone call from the vet to discuss the results. I was told that his result wasn't bad, his condition was treatable. I was advised to put my cat on some type of medication for his condition which had the potential of kidney failure. As my cat seemed frail, I decided not to take that option. My cat has since passed away exactly 4 weeks after blood tests were done. I have the tests results and I've gone through it and researched it. The results were not OK ! It's quite disappointing tbh. Read Less

I recently adopted two middle aged poodles from a deceased friend. When we visited my friend's previous vet, the dogs would cry and shake hysterically from the minute we walked into the surgery until we left. Since I have had the dogs and have brought them to the wonderful team at Caulfield Vetinarary Clinic, the dogs are calm and collected and in fact trot up to Reception for a treat after their weigh in. There is no trembling and crying and they are both very relaxed and happy to come to the vet for the expert care they receive there. A much happier experience for dogs and owner alike!! Read Less

I found the Vet to be expert and what she does and very caring. I know there are some locals critical of this clinic and of the appointment fee. In that some other clinics are cheeper. But as you all know the cheeper is not ofter better and especially in relation to the services, and care including the tragedy of a end of having to put a beloved pet to sleep. I totally trust and recommend Caulfield Vet clinic. Yours sincerely Miriam Orwin - local Naturopath and Barrister. Read Less

Janene and her team have been absolutely fantastic with our two cats and two dogs. Especially with one of our cats Jinx who has been very sick, we took him to so many different vets and received multiple diagnoses but no cures, they would never listen to us about what was going on! Finally we took him to Janene, she believed us and treated him appropriately and he's finally a healthy, happy kitty! Thank you so much Janene your care was exceptional, 10/10 would recommend. I can not say enough nice things about this practice. I have taken all three of our animals to see Janene who has been more than caring and professional with our animals. It is never a problem to squeeze in an emergency ( like when some one stepped on the kittens foot by accident) and our kitten had to stay over night. Every staff member spoils them with love and you can see that they have a genuine desire to work with animals. Thanks guys our family really appreciates your care. Read Less

I found Dr Kirschner rude and condescending. She told me I know nothing about animals even though I am a qualified nurse. My dog had a lump and she told me my dog needed surgery without doing any tests. You could not treat a person like this, so why treat an animal in such an uncaring manor. I went to another vet who was more than happy to run the tests before jumping to the extreme of surgery. I would NEVER recommend her to anyone. Read Less

I have been a client at Caulfield Vet. Clinic for over 15 years now and Janene and her team there are the only ones I would consider taking my animals to. It is a testament to her skill that Wilson my beloved whippet after a bout of skin cancer at 8 years old eventually died of old age at 16 and Benson my cat after a 4 storey fall was kept alive by Janene's willingness to try all possible treatments that he also lived well into old age.It is often only in retrospect that one comes to appreciate her no nonsense ( not to be confused with uncaring ) approach and to not enter into the justifiable emotions of each pet owner.Read Less
