As a regular customer, I am very disappointed with this clinic. My two dogs go to this clinic year round for checkups, injections and treatments, etc.
In April this year, one of my dogs had atopic dermatitis (inflammation of the skin) and we made an appointment for annual vaccination and asked for a consultation together for a skin problem. We were charged for the vaccination ($75), the injection (Cytopoint 10ml $142.84) and some medication. The doctor did say that depending on the situation, injections may be needed every two months.
This month, my dog had the same symptoms again and I had told them at the phone appointment that this time it was the same problem as last time, atopic dermatitis, and that follow-up injections might be needed. As a result, I went back to the clinic today and after about 8 minutes of "consultation" and injection, (note that the doctor here just did a quick check and asked if the last injection worked), they ended up charging $75 for the consultation and injection ($141.70 for Cytopoint 10ml) and I asked why they were charging such a high consultation fee for just injecting the same medication as last time. Their explanation was that the consultation fee from last time was included in the annual vaccine and they needed to charge a separate consultation fee this time. They also explained that if it was just an injection without communication/consultation, it would be the nurse's price, but I had already said this was the same issue as last time when I called to make an appointment, and the receptionist did not explain to me what the difference was （I believe it was within their scope of service to refer the client to the appropriate service. ) But even if the nurse's price is not required to charge for the consultation fee, it's not like they can just give the injection without communicating a word, right? I don't think this reason would convince me. Also, the receipt states the same amount of injections, but there is a slight difference in the cost, and I'm curious as to why this is the case. All in all, by personal choice I will not go back to this clinic.

Amazing team led by a very caring vet. After being told our dog had cancer which had spread too far, Scott ran us through our options, gave us the support and means to give our boy 6 more precious months with us. He even sent us flowers once our boy had crossed that rainbow bridge. Can not recommend this vet enough

The vet there are friendly and knowledgeable especially Scott and the Asian lady(sorry I forgot her name as I haven't been seeing her lately) The one star is for their grooming service. The groomer there has so skills, no patients and couldn't care less about other dogs. She cut my baby's inner thigh and when I went to pick him up there's no sorry, no explanation, she didn't even mention about it. It wasn't even a small cut, looks like a whole patch of skin went missing. 😭😡

I have been taking my precious border collies to this clinic for about 5 years now. Georgie always takes the time needed to consult and gives extraordinary care and advice. I never feel like our appointment is rushed. She is thorough and patient. I travel 40 minutes to go here and go on a regular basis, even though there's a vet 2 doors up from me. I cannot recommend South Eastern animal hospital enough. Thanks to all the staff for your great customer service, support and care. It is greatly appreciated.

My little dog Bailey was very sick this week, I really thought I was going to lose her, but thanks to the staff there she is almost back to her normal self after 4 days with them. Had to ask questions when I should be informed of basic info on what will be happening to my girl, before and after care, as well as comfort that my dog will be in good hands. Now I feel bad for my girl because I don't know if she was in good hands. A little bit of a smile, love and passion for dogs would be reassuring.. Upside - good price

I began taking my Shar Pei to South Eastern Animal in 2011. I would travel 45kms to ensure my Shar Pei were treated by Dr Scot Plummer because of his experience with this breed. Both Pandora and Sasha have had entropian surgery with Scot and I am extremely happy with their eyes. Being a distance client the discounts I received were so competitive the drive was worth it. I recommend SEAH to all my family and friends.

I found South Eastern Animal Hospital online after my cavoodle broke his leg in an accident! Dr Scot and his friendly, very capable staff took good care of him and surprised me with their great customer service and knowledge. Other vets I have been to have poor follow up, average communication and "worn looking" clinics.
I am still a customer of SEAH and would rather travel across Melbourne than go to my local Vet as Scots prices are very competitive and the service is excellent!
I would highly recommend Scot and his animal hospital to anyone that needs a great vet or animal surgeon.

SHAR PEI Rescue Inc and South Eastern Animal Hospital have been working together to save the lives of over 1000 shar pei over the past 6 years. All of our rescue dogs pass through SEAH with varying degrees of attention needed. From a simple vaccination to a more complex luxating patella surgery, and almost everything imaginable in between, including desex, entropion surgeries (LOTS of entropion surgeries)!!! twisted bowel surgery, bowel obstruction surgery, cancer therapy, you name it, between us we have just about seen it all.
We continue to utilise the services of South Eastern Animal Hospital for a number of reasons. First and foremost would be their expertise, knowledge and commitment. A very close second would be their compassion, devotion and genuine care and patience for the animals we take to their clinic for vet care. Finally it is the hands on attitude that SEAH offer us. We are welcome to leave our fur kids in their very capable care, to pick up after their vet work is complete, but more often, the staff at SEAH make us feel very welcome to accompany the animals we are caring for into their actual surgeries and then stay with them whilst they are in recovery.
We have never met a vet clinic who are more hospitable and accommodating than South Eastern Animal Hospital and for this reason, we can think of no other vet clinic who would receive our higher recommendation.
At SHAR PEI Rescue Inc, we are often heard to say....."thank goodness for Dr Scot and his staff at South Eastern Animal Hospital"!!

As a regular customer, I am very disappointed with this clinic. My two dogs go to this clinic year round for checkups, injections and treatments, etc.
In April this year, one of my dogs had atopic dermatitis (inflammation of the skin) and we made an appointment for annual vaccination and asked for a consultation together for a skin problem. Amazing team led by a very caring vet. Had to ask questions when I should be informed of basic info on what will be happening to my girl, before and after care, as well as comfort that my dog will be in good hands. Now I feel bad for my girl because I don't know if she was in good hands. A little bit of a smile, love and passion for dogs would be reassuring.. Upside - good price

I am still a customer of SEAH and would rather travel across Melbourne than go to my local Vet as Scots prices are very competitive and the service is excellent!

We continue to utilise the services of South Eastern Animal Hospital for a number of reasons. First and foremost would be their expertise, knowledge and commitment. A very close second would be their compassion, devotion and genuine care and patience for the animals we take to their clinic for vet care. Finally it is the hands on attitude that SEAH offer us. We are welcome to leave our fur kids in their very capable care, to pick up after their vet work is complete, but more often, the staff at SEAH make us feel very welcome to accompany the animals we are caring for into their actual surgeries and then stay with them whilst they are in recovery.
We have never met a vet clinic who are more hospitable and accommodating than South Eastern Animal Hospital and for this reason, we can think of no other vet clinic who would receive our higher recommendation.
At SHAR PEI Rescue Inc, we are often heard to say....."thank goodness for Dr Scot and his staff at South Eastern Animal Hospital"!!
