The vets and nurses are fantastic! If it wasn't for them i don't know if my little girl would have made it. They cared for her until she was able to eat on her own again and they were very informative and were happy to take the time out to speak to me on the phone about my dogs progress while she was in hospital. These people are truly heroes and i cannot thank them enough for helping my dog when she was seriously ill. I will be forever grateful! Read Less

My sick one year old pup was referred to the VRH by my wonderful local vet. Dr Alison and the staff at the VRH were fantastic. They were so caring, considerate and understanding of my distress regarding my dog. When trying to work out a pick up time, I was stressed because I could not get off work, and I was worried the bill would escalate if she stayed longer than necessary. Well, I needn’t have worried. They accommodated her until I was able to get there, reassuring me it was ok and there was no extra charge. I'm so grateful to Dr Alison and all of the lovely staff at the VRH for helping my beloved pup. Thank you!! Read Less

Anyone who owns a pet & lives in MELBOURNE'S outer sth east SHOULD be made to know all about this place!!! There should a law about it - to make people fully aware that this wonderful hospital exists!
The veterinary Referral Hospital on the Princes Hwy in Hallam has several experienced veterinarians that are on call - there is specialised equipment available here - in "state of the art" labs that they use to analyse & test things that most vets can't do - all in emergency situations... Plus - amazingly enough - this vet does not charge an arm & a leg for their services... They're actually no where near as expensive as most vets! Ahh! Seriously! This type of medical facilty is like a "human" hospital emergency room - but for all you fur baby owners with doggies & kitty cats (cos I'm really not too sure if they see any other types of animals...) But please learn this name - Veterinary Referral Hospital!!! & please save their phone number in your phone contacts now!!! Do it!!! & just when it couldn't get any better - this place is also open ➡ 24 hrs a day ➡7 days a week ➡ 365 days of the year! Omg!😃👍😂👏🏆🍻🎆😚💕 Read Less
