A week before Christmas 2015, I had to say goodbye to my fur baby Molly. In the time that Molly visited the clinic, and spent at the cattery the Essendon Vet Clinic provided excellent service. She was known as the cat with the awesome blanket. However, when my kitty became terminally ill, I could not thank them enough for their kindness, care and compassion. Especially Tania who went above and beyond what I have normally experienced from vets. Essendon vet clinic is a clinic I trust with my beloved pets with their care. I know I can always call and get great helpful advice and I have used the cattery service with holidays because I feel comfortable with the knowledge the cats are cared for and monitored by trained staff and the cages are actually generous not a tiny box. I brought my cat in after she was attacked by a dog. The vet we saw was nice but she did not do a thoughouh examination and missed some injuries i discovered only after getting my cat back home. I then took my cat back the following day and unfortunately saw a different vet, Dr Libby Mullen who was terribly rough and treated my poor, frightened and injured cat with such contempt i was completely dismayed. My cat was so terrified of her and understandably wouldn't let the vet touch her anymore. The vet claimed my cat was aggressive and said she would need to sedate her to continue treatment. I just saw that as a way for them to try and get more money out of me and there was no way i was going to trust them with the safe care of my cat anymore either. I was so shocked to see my cat handled in such a way after having been attacked by a dog and then completely mistreated by the vet that i was shaking all over. I feel so deeply saddened by this experience and will never be taking my cat back there.Read Less

Fantastic staff, they are so amazing with my two pups. My eldest suffers from anxiety and every time I go there I get nothing but patience and understanding. Last night I took my beautiful old dog, Ruby, to see Dr Kylee Woods. Ruby was 16yrs old and had a range of issues that come with aging dogs. Dr Woods treated Ruby with care, respect and dignity. Unfortunately we had to make the hard decision to put Ruby down, but Dr Wood's lovely nature, kindness and professionalism made it just that little bit easier. I highly recommend her and the team at Essendon Vet Clinic. Took my dog Jesse here as my regular vet wasn't able to see her and lucky i did. My poor dog woke up with a 'white' eye which turned out to be an infection and a few other things. I called my normal vet who said she was going blind and to come in on Monday (it was Saturday when i called) and several others who said the same thing however i wasn't happy with this response. This amazing clinic gave me an appointment straight away and Tania the vet, was so gentle with her. She was able to diagnose Jesse quickly and she is now on the mend. Tania said had i left it till Monday, jesse would have lost her eye. They phoned me to check how jesse was going throughout the week and I thought this was excellent service. I will be changing vets and Essendon Vet Clinic will be my regular choice.Read Less

My doggie was diagnosed with Diabetes :o( Took him to this clinic where they did several repeat blood glucose tests to try and stabilise him. After several of these tests it was discovered by me that they had sold me not 1 but 4 Caninuslin tubes for his vet pen that were OUT OF DATE!!!! He began treatment with them at the beginning of July 2014 and the Caninsulin was dated 05/2014. Needless to say that Oliver was not getting any better and there was a refusal from management to deal with this in an appropriate manner. They hung their head vet out to dry as I'm reporting the incident to the vet board and it doesn't sound like it's the first time they've been there either!!! Read Less
