I cannot recommend this vet highly enough. My darling boy had been in pain with a second bout of pancreatitis and was recovering only to go downhill quickly again.
He’d been in the vet hospital in Mornington two weeks ago where they’d done countless scans blood work and tests, nothing showed up other than an inflamed pancreas and liver, he was given pain relief and my vet supported the diagnosis when I took him for follow up appointments.
I knew it was odd for him to go downhill so quickly and so soon again after almost recovering fully and by the fate of the universe my vet was unavailable so I went to cat lovers who had been recommended to me. In no time, the vet had noticed the bloodwork that had been done showed signs of cancer which wasn’t picked up by the Mornington hospital vets or my usual vet in main ridge. The vet knew to check for tumours and unfortunately found a tumour on my boys pancreas and multiple tumours elsewhere which were again not picked up in previous scans by the hospital or my vet. Unfortunately, there was nothing else I could do as he had cancer and tumours and was in pain. He is an older cat, and it was just his time to go 😭
The vet and the vet nurses couldn’t have been more compassionate or kind. They supported me, reassured me I was doing the right thing and gave me as much time as I needed to say goodbye to the light of my life and my constant companion for many years. They understood how much he meant to me.
To top it off, they made prints of my baby’s paws and nose, gave me a vial of his hair and didn’t charge me a cent.
I’m so glad my vet wasn’t available today because this could have drawn out longer with my baby in pain and stress, I thank god I went to cat lovers because I now have answers and know I did the right thing by my boy. The vet was so experienced and professional and found answers to his condition that the hospital and my vet couldn’t find over weeks in a matter of minutes.
Thank you cat lovers for making such a horrible experience and such an awful time that much more bearable and for honouring and caring for my boy. I’ll be forever grateful

After a week and few days of taking our Cat Fritz to see Cat Lovers we couldn’t be happier with the results!
Gone is the massive, oozing, bleeding and infected abbess’s that were growing on his head from a possum attack. He was so sick and unwell and in so much pain.
Now in such a short time he’s healthy and happy again and back to normal!
Jim knew exactly what he was looking at and how to treat him.
Extremely well priced and vigilant with his patients, asking us to return twice for quick checkups with no charge.
Would recommend 10 out of 10 to anyone looking for a vet for their kitty’s!

One of our last interactions with Catlovers was a few months ago when our 14 month old kitten was bitten by a tiger snake (we have 5 cats and had been to Catlovers a few times while living in the area, but have since moved house).
In a panic we rushed him to the closest vet to our new place, who basically told us he had no chance and would have to be euthanised, but if we left him with them they would "try" to do their best and they would give us a call the following day! Our gut feelings told us to get the hell out of there and take him to Dr Jim (even though it was about an hour's drive away) and we did.
Needless to say, Dr Jim saved his little life and after taking him back for a few fluid top-ups/shots (and round-the-clock love from us) he's bouncing around these days like nothing bad happened!
We're so grateful to Dr Jim and his lovely staff and can't recommend him enough. Definitely worth the drive for their proper care and compassionate service.

The young lady on reception was very nicely presented had great customer service and was very organised and informed!
The vet was excellent with my cats!
I only had pet carriers for my 2 older cats and the kitten escaped the cardboard box i had her in and knocked everything everywhere, Without a second thought the vet grabbed a pet carrier in perfect condition he had out the back, put her inside and told me i can have it free of charge! I mean WOW how amazingly kind!
My (desexed) male adult cat is very skittish and usually doesnt let anyone touch him except me, I think because he was scared he pee'd all inside his pet carrier, when the vet was taking him out of the carrier pee went all over the place, I felt so bad but the vet was professional in dealing with this, quickly cleaning away all the pee and offering me a place to wash my hands and joking about sometimes getting a "Trifecta" Pee, Poo and vomit! hahaha
Vet visits are usually something i fear because of the price and i often end up paying alot more than quoted! Not at Cat Lovers Frankston! The Quoted price was much cheaper than the other vets in the area and i didnt pay one cent more than i was quoted, Less actually! I could not fault this vet clinic in any way was a very pleasant experience and i will be a returning customer from now onwards! Cant recommend them enough!

Dr. Jim Euclid is a very knowledgeable feline veterinarian who I absolutely trust with my cats. He does a magnificent job in desexing my kittens, and my husband -who is a vet himself- is very impressed with his work, especially on female kittens. His incisions are tiny and the kittens are back up very quickly. I never had any wound infections either. Jim is always happy to share his knowledge and give advice. On top of that his fees are very!! reasonable. I can recommend him to any cat owner and breeder.

Jim and his team have excellent service. I take my Chocolate piont Birman there for a shave once a year and it is always a perfect cut, with no Knicks. They know their cats and issues after successfully treating mine for feline herpes and I saw him every day for 10 days and only charged me once for the medication (at a reasonable price). Thanks.

As a breeder of 2 Rare breed cats ( Lykoi & Singapura) & the Devon Rex, I have being going to Dr Jim for over 14 years, he is a wonderful Vet, specialising in cats, who actually does care. The staff are brilliant, esp the head Nurse Cherie, cannot praise this clinic enough ! Definitely the Best.

I think the young girl's name is Bernadette, who came in to the surgery with me, just a beautiful caring soul. Don't go anywhere else until you give these people a try, you won't regret it.

The young lady on reception was very nicely presented had great customer service and was very organised and informed!
The vet was excellent with my cats!
I only had pet carriers for my 2 older cats and the kitten escaped the cardboard box i had her in and knocked everything everywhere, Without a second thought the vet grabbed a pet carrier in perfect condition he had out the back, put her inside and told me i can have it free of charge! I mean WOW how amazingly kind!
My (desexed) male adult cat is very skittish and usually doesnt let anyone touch him except me, I think because he was scared he pee'd all inside his pet carrier, when the vet was taking him out of the carrier pee went all over the place, I felt so bad but the vet was professional in dealing with this, quickly cleaning away all the pee and offering me a place to wash my hands and joking about sometimes getting a "Trifecta" Pee, Poo and vomit! hahaha
Vet visits are usually something i fear because of the price and i often end up paying alot more than quoted! Not at Cat Lovers Frankston! The Quoted price was much cheaper than the other vets in the area and i didnt pay one cent more than i was quoted, Less actually! I could not fault this vet clinic in any way was a very pleasant experience and i will be a returning customer from now onwards! Cant recommend them enough!

Dr. Jim Euclid is a very knowledgeable feline veterinarian who I absolutely trust with my cats. He does a magnificent job in desexing my kittens, and my husband -who is a vet himself- is very impressed with his work, especially on female kittens. His incisions are tiny and the kittens are back up very quickly. I never had any wound infections either. Jim is always happy to share his knowledge and give advice. On top of that his fees are very!! reasonable. I can recommend him to any cat owner and breeder.

Jim is a brilliant and caring vet. His specialist knowledge of cats is rare to find. I would recommend to anyone who wants the best veterinary care for their cat.

Jim and his team have excellent service. I take my Chocolate piont Birman there for a shave once a year and it is always a perfect cut, with no Knicks. They know their cats and issues after successfully treating mine for feline herpes and I saw him every day for 10 days and only charged me once for the medication (at a reasonable price). Thanks.

If it wasn't for Dr Jim and his caring staff, especially Cherie and Sam, I am sure my Birman cat Phil, would have died years ago. They have been absolutely amazing and go beyond and above, anything I could wish for, in looking after my beloved cat. Phil has had kidney failure for 3 and a half years and Jim is always on the lookout for new treatments, to help this condition. My Phil owes them his life and I give them so much thanks and gratitude for their expertise and care. Best vet around
