NEW I am writing this review to shed some light on Glenroy Vet Clinic. Our 16 year old Maltese dog had been seen over a number of years by Dr Tim. She did have a heart murmur and was put on meds a few years ago, under the care of The Animal Referral Hospital and doing extremely well, as I also introduced a holistic approach to this condition and must state once again miraculous improvement to her condition. Then we kept up occasional visits at Glenroy under Dr Tim. On the 9th of April 2024 we brought our little dog to Dr Tim as she had stopped eating and drinking on the previous day and were worried. She was showing signs of lock jaw and stiff hind legs. Dr Tim assessed her and literally told us she is old, frail and its time, but we were not about to euthanize our little dog. So we asked him to administer an arthritis injection thinking that her stiff legs were getting worse from that. He also recommended a steroid injection to increase her appetite. The next day things were getting worse, so we thought there is no other option but put her down as Dr Tim stated on the previous day. So made our way to Glenroy Vet clinic and that was the end of our little Maltese dog. This is the worst decision both my wife and I have ever undertaken. I was not in a good place after that and my mind was ticking, thinking something was not right with Dr Tim's diagnose, so made calls to two animal hospitals and 3 other larger vet clinics. I stated the issues our dog was having with its locked jaw, stiff hind legs and not been able to eat/drink. All of them said your dog seem like its got Tetanus and needs urgent medical attention and must be brought in immediately and put on the right Meds well that's too late. We have now euthanized our little dog on the miss diagnose from Dr Tim. After a discussion with Dr Tim, what I have stated above with other vet clinics ( TETANUS) he stated that he has never heard and come across Tetanus in dogs. Well Dr Tim for all the years you have been a vet your knowledge falls short, you have miss guided us to putting our dog down on your wrong diagnosis, you even admitted to this on the phone conversation we had after euthanizing our dog and to make things worse apologized. That's not going to bring back our dog. Now I'm not the type of person to criticize others and leave negative reviews, but this has taken its toll on me knowing we put our dog down unnecessarily. Its been 2 weeks now, I am not sleeping and feeling very stress thinking about what has taken place. Dr Tim our dog was not old and frail you have mentally destroyed us. Dr Tim if your not certain about something you should have referred us on. So I'm putting this out to all you pet owners Read Less

Dr Tim has been treating my little dog as a puppy. His no nonsense attitude is really appreciated, and he gives expert advice on nutrition and of course puppy health. He has been looking after my daughter's dog for 5 years now, through a few issues, and we recommend his sensible approach. There is something that reminds me a bit of 'All creatures great and small' about this clinic. The reception staff are friendly and relaxed. I am happy to have found this very experienced veterinarian. Read Less

Dr Jenkins is an excellent Vet, who is currently treating both of my Cats. Before taking them to Dr Jenkins I had taken one cat to another local Vet Hospital who are incredibly over priced, charges extra for Saturdays even though the clinic is open all day. Dr Jenkins didn't muck around and suggested an immediate visit to a eye specialist who diagnosed eye cancer. Dr Jenkins performed the operation for less than a quarter or the cost. Read Less

Beware of this clinic! My dog was very ill and in lots of pain and because I am an elder and my dog is a large dog 45KG plus I needed a house call, so Dr Tim booked me in the for a house visit the following day BUT he never turned up. I called the clinic after Dr Tim didn't show and the receptionist said he forgot and could no longer come out but could come out the next day. No apology or anything. They clearly do not care about customer service let alone about your pet so save your money and find a real vet not a practice full of morons! Read Less

Took me almost a year to write this because I am still traumatised by it. Near Christmas day 2016, the veterinarian misdiagnosed my cat with a sore stomach and he died the next day. Thinking it was just his stomach playing up but still concerned I drove him to another vet but he had a heart attack along the way due to the poisoning of a blocked bladder. He breathed his last right next to me. The veterinarian who tried her best to rescuscitate him confirmed that he should have been operated on immediately and not with a single fever shot and drops of antibiotics. Don't go here if you love your pets. He handles them roughly and some reviewers will tell you that it's fine to do so because it's "old school style". Don't go here because this vet is cheaper than others, because cheaper definitely doesn't mean better. Edit: I had been to Glenroy vet clinic a few months before the fatal misdiagnosis and I was quite displeased with how he handled my cat then. My manager who used to regularly go to Dr Tim for her dogs assured me that it was his 'style' and I let it go. The day of misdiagnosis was when my partner brought him in as he was feeling ill and confirmed the equally as rough treatment. My manager told me she can no longer bring her pets to Glenroy Vet Clinic after hearing of my tragedy. Read Less
