To be honest I'm not impressed with this vet clinic at all. They seem to have a high turnover of vet staff, which is the least of the problems I've had with them over the years. When they say they love your pet as much as you do don't believe them. They nearly killed my wee dog about 2 years ago putting him last on the list for a dental extraction, even though he'd been diagnosed with a heart murmur previously and had an ultrasound that graded it as worse. But he needed a couple of teeth out despite my constant brushing as they were overcrowded and were going to cause him problems quite soon. So, I picked him up just as they were closing for the evening before he had fully recovered. As soon as I got him home, he went into cardiac arrest. I saved his life by doing CPR on him, (I used to be a nurse for humans) which was more difficult than it would otherwise have been as I was still recovering from sepsis. I managed to get a lift to the animal emergency hospital breathing into his lungs over and over again and trying to compress his chest at the same time. The vet at the animal emergency hospital said he would not likely make it. He did thank God, though I think I was worse for wear. By the time they had taken over from me I had pretty much lost it; I was crying hysterically. The next day, I informed my usual vet and not a bloody word. Zilch. Nada. They didn't even ask if either of us was okay. 2 years on and more visits to hospital for me and the price of my wee man's Cardisure had gone up 'a little' their words not mine. However, they failed to tell me this. Being on a disability pension $10 extra a month for an already expensive medication is quite a hike. Of course, they didn't tell me either that I could get the same medication online for a fraction of the price. But get this, they're going to charge me $30 for another script. They had only just written a new script less than 2 weeks before, a friend of mine taking him for his yearly checkup as I'd just got out of hospital for the second time last month. Now, I will have to pay a vet to scribble something on a script pad or printout that I'd only just gotten done. Just prior to that one of the nurses said I owed them money for a previous 30-day supply of his tablets. That was just after the 1st time I had got out of hospital last month. I asked her if she was sure, because I always pay my bills right then and there. 'Hold on,' she said, 'I'll just go and check'. By then I was feeling sick with worry about my finances, physically sick plus emotionally drained b/c I was physically sick. 'Oh,' she said', chirpily, 'You're right. You don't owe us any money.' I told her that instead of scaring me half to death with an expensive bill that I actually didn't owe, she could've had the common sense to check first. Utterly clueless. Why do they care? Well, they don't. They don't care about you and therefore they don't care about your pet, especially if you're on a pension. I bet they wouldn't bat an eyelid if I said to them, that as I could no longer afford to keep my wee man it would be best if he was euthanized. I spend a fortune on my own meds, and some aren't on the PBS. I've spent a fortune at this vet clinic. Greedy and heartless is what I'd call them. They won't even do a payment plans. They always make damn sure that you have money up front. They have the temerity to actually ask you that. They're within walking distance that's why I keep going there. I live alone and if I didn't have a soul to cherish in doggie form what would be the point of my going on? Of course, I'm not going to put my fur baby to sleep and I'm not going to relinquish him to a shelter either. They're not going to brush his teeth every second day, trim around his eyes, trim his nails, use my magic diluted essential oils on his sore bits, massage his shoulders and back, sleep with him and love him to pieces. Pets to vets are just a business though some care more than others. Read Less
