I had taken my girl Rosie to westernport vet Hastings as a emergency patient.
Rosie had cancer of the mamaroy glands and was palliative stage.
I was greeted at the door, then ushered by Matt the vet ...
I had taken my girl Rosie to westernport vet Hastings as a emergency patient.
Rosie had cancer of the mamaroy glands and was palliative stage.
I was greeted at the door, then ushered by Matt the vet into the office. It didn't take long to access Rosie was dying.
Within minutes Rosie was at peace and made her journey over the rainbow bridge.
Matt and his staff were excellent, caring ,compassionate and understanding. It made such a difficult time so much easier. I wish to thank them for their care of Rosie and myself.
I would recommend their services and hold them in high regard. Thanks also to Alison & Kerry at the Somerville clinic for their past care of Rosie and ongoing care of her daughter Gracie.

Terrible heartless customer service! Because I initially took my pets to the RSPCA (because medication was almost $400 cheaper) and then I tried to bring them in, in an emergency to be told “I suggest you take them back there!” And try not to offer support or a service.
How dare your staff be so heartless and lack compassion in a crisis! Usually my dogs go to your clinic for immunisations but never again. I don’t know what sort of human would respond that way! Disgraceful!!!!

Great little vet with kind staff and veterinarians. I was very suprised at the honesty and genuine interest in giving me the best service they could - which in this case meant suggesting a competing vet that had more specific equipment for the procedure my boy needed done. Prices are excellent and will not break your bank. The place to go for caring and genuine pet care.

The team at the Hastings Vet Clinic have been looking after our black lab (almost 13yr old) for the last seven years.
The care has been warmly consistent, the advice has been spot on and the two operations she has needed in that time were accurately pre-quoted.
This is a clinic with people skills that loves their animals.
We're really happy with our experience.

Unfortunately we had the need to take one if our dogs (Bailey) to the Hastings clinic twice since the beginning of May; the first time to address a cough, the second time to address the fact that he was extremely 'flat' and off his food. In the first visit the cough was treated and it cleared up, the second visit didn't address the issues and the vet didn't really know what it might be but gave us an anti inflammatory and a quote on getting his teeth done. After 10 days of being on the medication he was no better and I decided to take him to Main Ridge vets for a second opinion. This occurred yesterday and the diagnosis wasn't good...It turns out he has a large (size of an afl footy - the swelling is easily detectable by a simple feel of his abdomen and even visible to the untrained eye/hand) tumor on his spleen which has been bleeding (hence the lethargy Bailey has suffered) and has now spread to his liver. The tumor has apparently been there for 4-5 months and I am extremely disappointed that on both occasions of the recent visits, the vets at Hastings did not pick this up. Bailey is undergoing surgery at Main Ridge vets first thing tomorrow in the hope of extending his life expectancy from a couple of weeks to a few months at best. The chances are that an earlier pick up by the Hastings vet would have reduced the chance of the primary tumor bleeding

Sunday morning, been up all night with a very sick dog (4 year old jackeranian) several phone calls later and faced with a 1 hour drive to North Melbourne and a minimum consultation fee of $160 plus possible overnight care and medications depending on diagnosis, it was not a good start to the day. With little expectation I rang a local vet who just happened to be open till midday. Straight down, instant friendly service, the dog was diagnosed with gastro. Consultation, medication, coat conditioner and a lot of great advice and all for $130. Why would you go anywhere else?

Great little vet with kind staff and veterinarians.
