High Street Road Animal Hospital is a modern, busy, small animal practice in Melbourne’s south east in Mount Waverley. Mount Waverley is close to the South Eastern Freeway and is around 20-25 minutes from the city.
We treat most companion small animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, mice, rats and birds. We are closely situated to many of Melbourne’s small animal specialists and we have a visiting specialist who can perform ultrasounds here at the Hospital.
Our facilities include radiology, laboratory, dentistry, medicine, surgery, hydrobath and grooming. We also offer puppy preschool classes, a weight loss program and a senior pets program (Golden Paws Club).

The staff that work at High Street Road Animal Hospital are so kind and helpful. I have an older cat who has arthritis and a thyroid issue, and my questions have always been addressed in the most understanding and informative way. They staff are so lovely to my cat and treat him like he is their own pet. He stays at the cattery, which is clean, comfortable and spacious. I can not thank the staff enough for their help. I know that I can get a bit anxious and protective of my cat, but I have received nothing but patience and kindness when dealing with this clinic. You are all very special people!

We have been bringing our dogs here for about 15 years and are very happy with all of the vets we’ve seen. The vet nurses are also very caring and attentive. Very patient with our scared and aggressive elderly dog and offer very good advice. Only reason I give 4 stars out of 5 is because their prices are on the high side and they have not yet adopted the triennial immunisation schedule in 2018 which is recommended by the experts.

Love this place! I found them after moving to Melbourne a few years ago and couldn't be happier. Even while dealing with the death of one of my beloved dogs, they were compassionate and incredibly patient. I've found pricing to be very reasonable, with follow ups to major procedures often included (big change from my previous vet). I have been very impressed with the level of service and understanding. Particularly as my partner and I both work full time, it also helps that they offer a wide range of times for appointments. Even at short notice, I never have trouble getting an appointment. Very happy to have found a place where they understand that our pets are a big part of the family!

I had to rate them down because so very expensive compared with other vets that I use. An injection was $60. My dog needed 2 injections so $120! 😳Definitely a bill shock type of place.

Very helpful and caring staff. They did all they could to help my rabbit and even after she passed they sent a condolence card. Best experience i have had from any veterinary clinic.

I took my old dog there for 12 years and the care provided was always exceptional - right up to his final hours as staff stayed back after hours to give him surgery. Now my new dog is receiving the same exemplary care from all the staff - they're all friendly, all professional and understanding, and all the vet nurses remember your pet.

Our cat is currently under care by Dr Murray Clarke for the past 24 hours due to a blood clot. During this awful time, his care, knowledge and professionalism is holding us together. He was the only vet to diagnose our cat with a heart condition and after a specialist told us our cat would only live for 3 - 12 months and prescribed no course of treatment, Dr Murray put our cat on heart medication and our cat is now 2.3 years on from initial diagnosis and has had no health concerns until yesterday. Everyone at the animal hospital is genuinely caring and i feel very reassured my cat is getting the best possible care at this time of crisis. I couldn't thank the team enough.

The staff that work at High Street Road Animal Hospital are so kind and helpful. I have an older cat who has arthritis and a thyroid issue, and my questions have always been addressed in the most understanding and informative way. They staff are so lovely to my cat and treat him like he is their own pet. He stays at the cattery, which is clean, comfortable and spacious. I can not thank the staff enough for their help. We have been bringing our dogs here for about 15 years and are very happy with all of the vets we’ve seen. The vet nurses are also very caring and attentive. Very patient with our scared and aggressive elderly dog and offer very good advice. Only reason I give 4 stars out of 5 is because their prices are on the high side and they have not yet adopted the triennial immunisation schedule in 2018 which is recommended by the experts.

Love this place! I found them after moving to Melbourne a few years ago and couldn't be happier. Even while dealing with the death of one of my beloved dogs, they were compassionate and incredibly patient. I took my old dog there for 12 years and the care provided was always exceptional - right up to his final hours as staff stayed back after hours to give him surgery.
