Saved my rabbits life! Did emergency surgery after hours and the vet nurse took her home to monitor her that night. Would have easily cost me double elsewhere. The staff really do care about all animals well being and are very understanding of the owners too.

My friend was told they only dealt with desexed dogs, told us ultrasound for pregnant dog unavailable. Then to find when asking where her dog was taken- receptionist told us ultrasound??? Without owners consent!! Very traumatic for the owner, concerned about dogs general health eg: weight. To walk away $130 broker and No RESULTS BESIDES APPARENTLY 2-3 PUPPIES were spotted. 2 weeks later Shitzu had 4 pups, all healthy and well. Owner of dog called made appointment but when we got there the discussion was different to what services she expected from booking.

We’ve been to a few vets in the area until we found this one. Lovely staff, and practitioners, very thorough, professional and caring of their patients. We have moved out of the area but continue to take our dog here because we haven’t found a vet that offers the same high level of care and service. Would highly recommend.

We have been going to this very for 7 years since Reuben went there for puppy school. We have since moved out of this area but we still go back to this vet due to the accurate advice we have been given over the years. I've had friends change vets that seemed to specialise in up selling treatments that aren't required (look for the green plus logo if you want to know which chain of vet clinics are renown for upselling) but at Hobson's bay we have never experienced this. In fact they often do follow up checks for free just to make sure their treatments are working.

Not being happy with my local vet, we shopped around for some pricing on tooth extractions. Not only was the price cheaper, but the staff were extremely helpful and efficient. They took really good care of my dog and looked after me as a customer.

I can't say enough about how wonderful this clinic is. I drove all the way from Templestowe to Newport just to go there. I was told my dog needed surgery by another clinic and I was not convinced. I took my dog to Hobson's Bay Vet Clinic where the diagnosis was the same but the treatment completely different. They fixed her eye straight away and it could be forever! Definitely did not need to jump straight into surgery. All the staff there are kind and generous with their time and they certainly can be trusted. Would most definitely recommend them to anyone.

While the vet staff are lovely, the girls on reception leave a little to be desired. They show little conpassion, yell out (not once but twice on different visits) that our dog had kennel cough for everyone in the waiting room to hear..when in fact we were there for tests to find out if the 'cough' was heart disease or perhaps a cancer or something to do in his lungs, then refered to our dog as 'smelly dog' when we picked him up from having tests done under anesthesia...I'm not perfect but if you work with animals and people who love their animals a little compassion wouldn't go astray.

Moved into the area 3 years ago, and after having a fantastic vet previously, was concerned i wouldnt find another as good.
Then i came across Hobsons Bay Vet Clinic and those fears were soon gone.
Have been to see David, Phillipa, and Natalie and all have that care and passion that you look for, and have been fantastic with all my pets that we take there.
Add to this the helpful, friendly reception staff, and a great selection of products in store, which the staff are happy to advise you on, you really can't go past this place.

Very nice, caring staff, looked at a baby bird that my cat had caught - free of charge, giving me all the right advice on how to release it. When I found the bird it looked like it was dead but thanks to the great advice from a lovely girl at this vet, I was able to help him regain his strength and he later flew off to rejoin his family in the trees. The guidance they gave me was spot on!

I can't say enough about how wonderful this clinic is. I drove all the way from Templestowe to Newport just to go there. I was told my dog needed surgery by another clinic and I was not convinced. I took my dog to Hobson's Bay Vet Clinic where the diagnosis was the same but the treatment completely different. They fixed her eye straight away and it could be forever! While the vet staff are lovely, the girls on reception leave a little to be desired. Moved into the area 3 years ago, and after having a fantastic vet previously, was concerned i wouldnt find another as good.
Then i came across Hobsons Bay Vet Clinic and those fears were soon gone.
Have been to see David, Phillipa, and Natalie and all have that care and passion that you look for, and have been fantastic with all my pets that we take there.
Add to this the helpful, friendly reception staff, and a great selection of products in store, which the staff are happy to advise you on, you really can't go past this place.

Very nice, caring staff, looked at a baby bird that my cat had caught - free of charge, giving me all the right advice on how to release it. When I found the bird it looked like it was dead but thanks...
Very nice, caring staff, looked at a baby bird that my cat had caught - free of charge, giving me all the right advice on how to release it. When I found the bird it looked like it was dead but thanks to the great advice from a lovely girl at this vet, I was able to help him regain his strength and he later flew off to rejoin his family in the trees. The guidance they gave me was spot on!
