Only interested in money, doesn't care about your pets health, my dog has cushings disease and i'm not working at the moment i'm studying vet nursing and with this disease you have to make sure your dogs baseline cortisol levels are ok while giving their medication and needs blood work done yearly, i asked them if they can stretch out the blood test just another month so i can save up a little more but they said no it has to be exactly 6 months on the spot and won't write out my dogs medication (dangerous for the dog) so i found another vet who will stretch it out another few months and wrote her prescription because they were shocked a vet clinic did that to me.....Who are they to say 6 months spot on blood test not 7 months not even 6 months and 3 days it has to be 6 months. Also they said to me go to the lort smith hospital if you can't afford it and i live in Wodonga which is hours away so no they don't care at all. Also you see a different veterinarian all the time and so many vets come and go in a short period of time, to me it seems like it's odd and maybe needs a bit of looking into (investigating) Also spam emails and phone messages about your pet needing this and that, as an animal lover and training in the industry i would not recommend this place if it is this bad in person then imagine behind closed doors. Because i live so far away i use to book in my pets during times when i could visit my dad who lives near pascovale vet, after being treated like this NEVER AGAIN. Read Less

Awful. The 'gentleman' in charge is interested in only one thing - lining his pockets. The entire focus of all visits there were totally about him trying to insist on us buying more and more things. I wouldn't mind that, but the actual treatment is useless - I watched my previously healthy pet deteriorate whilst under their care, whilst being treated for a common complaint, to the point where I took him to another vet who was , shall we say, extremely critical of what had been done. We subsequently had to have a young animal and beloved family member put to sleep. I'm not qualified as a vet, so I'm not able to identify cause and effect with any accuracy, , but I saw enough to know I'll never take another animal to these people. Read Less

I'm so glad to have discovered this vet! We adopted both our cats as adults and we quickly discovered that senior girl, Jocelyn was unwell. What started out as a digestive problem soon progressed into inflamed bowl disease, high blood pressure, detached retinas, diabetes, pancreatitis and a rare fungul infection; all of which had previously gone undiagnosed. All along the way Dr Collin and the team provided us with expert advice, compassion and tender care. Every nurse greeted Jocelyn with love and familiarity. When it all became too much for our beloved 13 year old Jocelyn, the whole team worked with empathy and professionalism. They even sent us flowers and a card. If it weren't for the amazing staff at Pascoe Vale Vet we would not have had as much time with Jocelyn as what we did. I cannot recommend this vet clinic enough! Read Less

While all the staff from Admin to Vets are extremely kind and helpful the up-selling is their downfall. They are always pushing the Hills pet food, pet toothbrushes and toothpaste etc I have 2 cats and a dog, both cats had their teeth cleaned within the last 2 years and yet again, the vet wants to put my 11 year old cat under to clean and extract teeth at a cost of Approx $1200. When I obtained a second opinion from one of the largest pet hospitals in the State, they recommended no action, the teeth are ok and they are reluctant to put an old cat under for just a teeth clean or to extract when there is only a hint of gingivitis. I am moving back to my old vet I am sick of the constant pushing to buy food and or drugs "just to see" if they will make a difference, or for blood tests or scans for things they don't even know what they are looking for. We used to love Pascoe Vale Vet, and the nursing and admin staff are still top notch, but from our experiences the veterinary staff have gone downhill. My final straw was during a follow up call a few months ago where I was so bullied and talked down to by one of the veterinarians that I no longer felt comfortable returning to the service- this was our third strike, after two previous incidents. There was one where the same vet treated our cat excessively roughly, but more distressing was the time the head vet disregarded our younger cat's medical records and harangued my partner into flea treating her despite an allergy to the medication, leading to flare-up of her auto-immune disease (which, despite the $750 biopsy results on her record, he continued to insist she couldn't possibly have). I hope that they reconsider their current roster (although the marvelous Dr. Teng has been nothing but good to us) because it's sad to see that this is what our previous go-to vet has become.Read Less

This is seriously the best Vet Clinic around. From the professional and caring reception staff right to Dr Colin who is a very experienced and dedicated vet who also has a lovely and caring manner about him. On recommendation from a friend, we took our old puss Nancy to see him as we heard he could help with her athritis including manipulation. Within the first treatment (plus Synovan injections) she was more agile, moved about well and more her old self again. The clinic itself is clean, efficient, well stocked and a great information section of leaflets. They are consistent with their communication via email and their concern for all pets young and old. We are very happy with the clinic and have one happy puss. Thank you Pascoe Vale Vet. Read Less

My Siamese cat had recovered from the flu, and Pascoe Vale Vet called me to come in for a follow up consultation, even though my cat was now fine. During the follow up consultation, I was told my cats fangs and most of his teeth would need removing and at a hefty fee of approximately $1500, which I was left feeling I had no choice! and so a booking for a procedure was made. Along with aprox another $1000 for asthma test. I was also pushed into buying a slab of canned cat food (my cat would not touch it) and a bag of prescription diet biscuits, the consultation should have only cost me $80 but I left paying $200, and a booking for a operation/procedure. I went home quite upset, my cat could loose his fangs and teeth, my husband was extremely upset! We decided to get a second opinion and went to a very experienced older and reputable Vet. He was amazing! We asked him to check my cats teeth, and he said all they need is a clean...he's teeth are good. We then told him what Pascoe Vale Vet had us booked in for, and the look on his face and the vet nurse's face was of horror! No! he said your cats teeth are good and spent quite a bit of time showing and explaining. Following my cats teeth clean my cats teeth were as good as new. This Vet did not try to make money from me, but saved me thousands ad saved my cats teeth. Imagine how upset I would of been putting my Siamese Cat at the risk of an operation, and him ending up with no teeth...not to mention the stress on my cat....how cruel! I wonder how many unnecessary operations or pets that now have no teeth from taking their loved pet to Pascoe Vale Vet? I am so relieved we took our cat for a second opinion and in doing so found a very genuine highly experienced vet with strong credentials.Read Less

I was extremely unhappy with the service I received. The vet had no regard for my pet, but was intent on selling me anything and everything. We went in for our dogs annual vaccination. We were quoted on the phone $80 for the vaccination, however it turned out to be over $110. The vet then preceded to attempt to sell us dental chews, DNA testing, flea/worm tablets, new dog food, skin scraping, antibiotics, just to name a few. It was all highly unnecessary, and the vet was extremely condescending. Our dog is healthy and happy, as well as well looked after, even so the vet was like a pushy sales person. I would not recommend this clinic at all.Read Less

Thank you to the wonderful, caring and compassionate staff at Pascoe Vale veterinary hospital from my fur baby Cleopatra and I. You have made this terrible experience of Cleo being hit by a car and her resulting injuries easier to cope with. Sending me pics during her operative confinement was a beautiful and sensitive touch. You are true animal lovers. You kept me informed each step of the way and I was confident that my little girl was in safe and caring hands. Thank you. Read Less
