Very dissappionting was quoted 1197.00 for surgery when I picked him up bill was 1527.00 Shocked!!! don't think I will have a problem finding a cheaper vet Won't be taking my fur baby back there.

I rang on a Sunday morning in tears because there was something wrong with my little kitty love, and Michelle the receptionist/ vet nurse was so so sweet and kind and put my mind at ease straight away...
I rang on a Sunday morning in tears because there was something wrong with my little kitty love, and Michelle the receptionist/ vet nurse was so so sweet and kind and put my mind at ease straight away. When we got there she took us straight into a consult room so my boy would be more comfortable and she did everything to make us settled. the next day Michelle called to check that Reggie (my cat) was all ok and if there was anything they could do. her service and care was so re assuring and genuine. only vet I would visit now!!

I couldn’t recommend this clinic more highly. All the staff, esp Kirsty at the front desk, are so lovely. Melinda and Cheryl who are Holly & Jake’s vets are calm, kind and explain things in simple terms so the average person can understand. They ring out of hours to follow up after having them de-sexed to see if they’re doing ok. The dogs get excited to eat the treats on the counter, which gets them through the front door easily 😂 Thanks guys!

My gentle little cat, Lula hurt her leg and was in a lot of pain and distress.
Prahran Vet were the only local clinic who could fit us in that same day because they’re smart enough to provide an online form for background info for new patients, allowing them to be more efficient.
Dr Melinda Bakker was so gentle and loving while checking her damaged leg, that Lula calmed right down and seemed quite comforted.
Dr Bakker provided pain relief and great advice and also called a few days later to check how Lula was recovering.
It’s phenomenally upsetting when your animal is in pain and you don’t know why or what to do, and such a relief to get excellent medical care that helps and comforts them, thank you so much.

Took our dog to be desexed here, we opted for the keyhole surgery and are very happy with how our dog was treated and...
Great customer service, you can tell they really do care about their clients pets.
Took our dog to be desexed here, we opted for the keyhole surgery and are very happy with how our dog was treated and the surgery was successful. She only has two small incisions and are healing very well.
They took the time to run through the procedure and risks involved, this left us with the confidence that we were making the right decision to leave our pet with them.
They called to check up the next day and have even scheduled a free check up in a weeks time.
Would highly recommend this vet.

Exceptional, in every possible way!! The team at Prahran Vet are incredible. Not only do the vets specialist in a variety of fields, so your pup doesn't have to be shipped around to different locations for differed issues, the team have consistently gone above and beyond any regular expectation... following up out of hours, making special arrangements, always putting the animal's (and stressed parents) needs first. In my life of owning animals I have never found such a practice, where each and every Vet is 100% committed to each patient they see, and for much more than the 30min consult. And the vet nurse team are just as amazing. Knowing I have this team in my corner is the best feeling. Thank you so very much.

So I came to Prahran Vet because of stellar recommendations from respected friends and for the simple fact that the team of veterinary doctors offer a range speciality services over and above the general 'GP' vet. My pup needed dental consultation and instead of going to a vet and then referral to a specialist (and all that additional cost) I met with Dr. Nicole (dental specialist) who presented me with all the possible options and info, from which we decided an operation was the best bet. My pup, post op, was happy and lively and the whole team at Prahran Vet were so lovely with him. We had our 1 week check up today and Nicole said the results are better than she could have hoped. And that b/c of the dental work she performed my pup gets complimentary dental check ups, every 3mths, for the rest of his life!!! Simply amazing. The spirit and intention behind such a wonderful offer just blew me away and I am so grateful and happy to be part of the Prahran Vet family. Thank you so much.

The most fantastic Veterinary clinic to take your beloved pets to. I have been taking all my pets here for a number of years and even though i have moved from the area, i still i travel a significant distance as i cannot fault them. The veterinarians are compassionate, professional and are of a high calibre. The exact same can be said for all the veterinary nurses i have encountered. I am a hard person to please when it comes to the care of my pets and this clinic has always met my expectations.

Visited Melbourne (from WA) over the Christmas holidays with 6 month old Buddy, recovering from a broken foot and a number of complications.
The vets and nurses at Prahran Veterinary Hospital were extremely kind, helpful and professional - after the great care he received on his first visit, Buddy was very excited for each subsequent visit. We'd never seen him so happy to visit the vet!
Appointments always ran on time, and we were confident that Buddy was receiving the best level of care at all times.
Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a professional, yet still very friendly practice.

When I had to pay they charged me nearly $600. It looks like they are embarrassed about how much they charge, but they won't tell you face to face.

Highly recommend. Reception, nurses and both vets who've seen my cat Alex have all been great. Super helpful and friendly and a great vet practice to take your cat.

Amazing team and vet, saved our gorgeous dog from death after he swallowed a corn cob, the stitches were better than I have seen in private human hospitals, we couldn't recommended them more

All the staff there are amazing. They are all very helpful in the care of all animals big and small. Our puppy got sick very quickly, with 3 trips in one day and multiple phone calls they were kind and understanding and helped our little fella feel better. Communication, explanation and instruction from the vets and nurses equally was utterly outstanding. If only human medicine was this good. Outstanding.

So I came to Prahran Vet because of stellar recommendations from respected friends and for the simple fact that the team of veterinary doctors offer a range speciality services over and above the general 'GP' vet. My pup needed dental consultation and instead of going to a vet and then referral to a specialist (and all that additional cost) I met with Dr. Nicole (dental specialist) who presented me with all the possible options and info, from which we decided an operation was the best bet. My pup, post op, was happy and lively and the whole team at Prahran Vet were so lovely with him. We had our 1 week check up today and Nicole said the results are better than she could have hoped. And that b/c of the dental work she performed my pup gets complimentary dental check ups, every 3mths, for the rest of his life!!! Simply amazing. The spirit and intention behind such a wonderful offer just blew me away and I am so grateful and happy to be part of the Prahran Vet family. Thank you so much.

The most fantastic Veterinary clinic to take your beloved pets to. I have been taking all my pets here for a number of years and even though i have moved from the area, i still i travel a significant distance as i cannot fault them. The veterinarians are compassionate, professional and are of a high calibre. The exact same can be said for all the veterinary nurses i have encountered. I am a hard person to please when it comes to the care of my pets and this clinic has always met my expectations.

I think Prahran Vet Hospital is the best Vet Clinic I have ever been to. Their staff are young and very caring and gives 100 per cent to each person and their pets. I have had many pets over the years and they always like going to the vet unlike some clinics. I cannot speak more highly of them.

Visited Melbourne (from WA) over the Christmas holidays with 6 month old Buddy, recovering from a broken foot and a number of complications.
The vets and nurses at Prahran Veterinary Hospital were extremely kind, helpful and professional - after the great care he received on his first visit, Buddy was very excited for each subsequent visit. We'd never seen him so happy to visit the vet!
Appointments always ran on time, and we were confident that Buddy was receiving the best level of care at all times.
Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a professional, yet still very friendly practice.
