We took our cat here for a second opinion after he had been under vet care at a different facility for around a week. Thank god we did - Dr Richard IMMEDIATELY diagnosed the issue and emergency surgery took place later that night, which saved our cat's life. We are so grateful to the Cat Clinic - without them, I shudder to think what would have happened. These guys were GREAT in handling our cat (who can sometimes be a bit...grumpy with strangers!) and conducted a detailed investigation (blood tests, ultrasounds etc). They are genuine experts and were also lovely to deal with - very compassionate towards us, caring and kind towards our cat and answered all of our many questions with care. After our FANTASTIC experience at the Cat Clinic we will now have them as our regular vet for our cat as I know they will give him the best care possible. This clinic is an absolute standout. The staff at The Cat Clinic are the most caring, warm, loving and compassionate people. Our very sick cat Xena was taken here and the length they went to, to ensure we did the right thing for our girl was exceptional and was greatly appreciated by my family and I. I had to say goodbye to my best friend of 21 years at the cat clinic and it was if myself and beautiful Dangus walked into a second home. WOW!!! What an awesome set up! It was well worth the 1hour in the car with my noisy boy Tozzy. Having all the equipment on site for immediate testing allows for a quicker and accurate diagnosis. My family and I have never encountered such a caring vet as Dr. Amy Lingard - having two dogs, three horses, lots of rabbits and a cat we have encountered many vets over the years but none so caring and compassionate as Amy. You just know she genuinely loves cats. Every time she treated Coco she was just lovely to her, taking the time to put her at her ease and trying to minimise any discomfort. Although eventually we made the decision to euthanize Coco due to her suffering as a result of a thyroid complication, Amy did everything she could to treat her and minimise the trauma for our family. She was extremely loving and gentle with Coco until the very end and was incredibly considerate towards us all on the day. Amy was just beautiful in the way she handled such a horrible situation and we are extremely grateful to have had her as our vet for even a short period. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Have a cat? Love your cat? Do her - and yourself - the favor of going to The Cat Clinic for all her veterinary needs. We have seen two vets here - Dr Keshe and Dr Richard. They were both thorough and soft-handed with our kitten, took plenty of time to explain training techniques, talked us through her growth stages and recommended affordable products to keep her healthy and happy over the years.What impressed me most was the doctors' sweet bedside manner and affection for cats, which we haven't experienced elsewhere. The quality of care, quiet comfort at reception (they use Feliway to help keep patients calm), and little toys they send in the mail make this the only place we'll take our furry friend. Read Less

We've taken our cat, Bella to The Cat Clinic since we adopted her from the RSPCA in 2007 for all her vaccinations, a dental procedure, regular checkups and can call them with any worries that we might have.Dr. Richard and all of the vets are incredibly compassionate, knowledgeable and skilled when it comes caring for your feline companions. They sell and use Feliway in their offices to make the situation of visiting a vet less stressful for your cat.They also have a cattery facility upstairs if you have to leave your cat overnight for any reason, and though they take them if you're going away for a weekend as well, I prefer a larger place so they can walk around. They do have catteries they recommend, however.Simply, they love cats and it shows. Read Less

Probably one of the most popular cat vets in Melbourne. I love dogs but sometimes I get a little worried about how excitable they get in the waiting room when they notice my cat. Plus I'm sure our feline friends can't be too comfortable seeing a big, slobbering K9 peering into their cat carrier. They specialise in all things cat or catty, you can even pick up some specialised cat foods, toys, beds and treats here. They also have dental facilities, an in-house laboratory, ultrasound, endoscopy and radiology capabilities. All the vets are extremely knowledgeable and incredibly nice people. Read Less

I was very impressed with the level of care and the vet Richard's knowledge of cats. He not only treated my cat's condition but he also took time to inspect my cat for other problems and recommended a more appropriate diet. I was even taught how to hold my cat properly to be able to trim his claws. Otherwise, facilities are clean and bright, off street parking is available, and the other staff were friendly.
