We bring all of our chickens here when they’re sick or needing implants and it’s worth the very long drive! The vets, with their expertise and great knowledge of birds’ health, have managed to keep some of our ex-battery girls alive and healthy for many years - our oldest are eight and eight and a half years! Took my whole flock of chickens here. I must say this is the first time i have ever taken them to a vet let alone a bird vet. But im glad i did when my chickens fell quiet ill and i didnt want to lose them. Dr stacey was profesional and understanding when i took my babies there. He diagnosed them and gave them treatment that worked and saved all of them. One of my chickens fell so ill she needed to be hospitalised and when i went to pick her up she was like brand new!. IF YOU HAVE A SICK BIRD THIS IS WHERE YOU SHOULD COME! this vet saved our budgies life. we are indebted to the care and tests done to save his life. after a bad first vet experience at another vet who claimed to specialise in birds, and the initial antibiotics prescribed not getting him better, we took him to the Melbourne Vet Clinic for a second opinion. Dr Stacey did all the necessary swabs and tests and diagnosed our beloved budgie and saved his life. had we have left the initial course of antibiotics initially prescribed by the first vet, we believe we wouldn't have our little guy here today. Although this vet is a little further out, it's well worth the trip. they have attention to detail and duty of care and specialise in birds. thanks again guys. we are so thankful we came to see you. She is a lovely, passionate and highly capable avian specialist with an excellent patient manner (for feathered patients and non-feathered owners). It's hard to find an avian vet in Melbourne, let alone somebody you can trust. Dr Corrie Pinkster looked after our ill budgie. The level of care, professionalism, skill and expertise was evident from our first visit. She maintained her compassion not only towards "Pumpkin" but also to us, always being available when needed. We've also met Dr Colin Walker since, who unquestionably is an expert in his field and mirrored Dr Pinksters love and compassion for birds and his profession.
