*** I WILL BE REPORTING "DR" RUSSELL CROSER to the VETERINARY BOARD *** Last night I took my beautiful and suddenly frail cat, Maxie, to their surgery for urgent assessment. Maxie has been their patient for years but had gone downhill within a few days and his back legs gave way on Sunday evening. First of all I was told that I didn't have an appointment (I'd made one), then I was told by a sullen nurse that they were speaking with the owners. Russell Croser (co-owner) then appeared and spent 12 minutes or so stating that he was busy out the back and didn't have time to attend to Maxie (and wouldn't allow the female vet on duty to do so either), but then he said it was because I'd previously questioned the conduct of who I'd thought was an abrasive and snappy nurse but apparently was in fact the the other co-owner, Gabby (OMG), stating that her attitude wasn't conducive to concerned owners who actually love their pets. Croser was standing 3' from Maxie but had No Intention Whatsoever of attending to him. Maxie, as a 19 1/2 yo cat who by then clearly wasn't feeling well, was FLATLY REFUSED CARE by Croser. I pointed out that compassion for an innocent animal should override any bias against an owner, but oh no, that wasn't going to happen. I advised that I still didn't have a car and naturally I didn't want Maxie to have to be taken somewhere else in my supermarket trolley, but no. I could no longer endure being lectured to by this cold-eyed, bloodless, battery-operated robot (Croser) and so I left in disgust. In this profession, to refuse to treat an emergency situation contravenes a vet's duty of care. Not a car accident or a snake bite, but I consider Maxie's sudden worsening condition to have been an emergency, not to mention having been their patient. However, NO COMPASSION WHATSOEVER was shown to Maxie and I am saddened, appalled and very angry, 'Compassion to Pets' are words displayed on their website but, in my case, are just empty rhetoric. So, two ghastly vets are the co-owners here, but then I suppose no humane vet would have gone into business with either of them. They have two surgeries but whenever I've been there there's only ever been one vet on duty. Clearly, not many clients. Avoid this shameless practice.

The worst vet in Melbourne.
Bunch of village idiots all in the one clinic.
Some of their favourite lines are "maybe this is the problem, we will do some tests, tests came back but nothing is wrong, sorry but we have no idea, here is your bill".
Due to their misdiagnosis over the 5 years we visited this clinic our dog recently passed away.
Even though they had no idea what was wrong with my dog at no point they told us to go see a specialist. When we decided to go and see a specialist on our own we were told her illness has been going for years and they couldn't understand why the people at Seddon Vet Hospital didn't realise the issue. At this stage there was no choice but to have an operation and unfortunately our dog didn't make it due to her heart condition.
We were told by the specialists that if we brought our dog earlier there probably could have fixed her without having to operate.
I will never forgive the idiots at Seddon Vet Hospital and if you care about your pet/furry family member do not take them here.
All those tests they made us do charging us few hundred dollars every time over these years did not solve anything. They probably didn't mention about going to a specialist because they only see the dollar signs when their patients walk through the door.
I should have realised this much earlier and I don't want anyone else to go through the same experience.
Please do not visit this vet under any circumstances.

Out two dogs have been going to see Russell for a few years now. They're little stress heads when it comes to visiting the vet but Russell is so good with them. He also takes the time to explain matters in detail which is super comforting. We travel from the south east of Melbourne to see the Seddon team and the trip is always worth it.

Vets are very helpful and explain things thoroughly so you know what's going on. Staff are friendly. Short wait times and usually easy to get an appointment. Dog got lots of treats.

Best vet I've been to. The facility is very clean and nice, staff are lovely and welcoming, and the vets are fantastic - knowledgeable and very caring. On top of the excellent and fast service, their prices are very reasonable. I've never cringed at the bill after a visit, even after having tests done or having to get medication.
Highly recommend Seddon Vet Hospital for your furbabies! Wouldn't go anywhere else!

We've only had our two pooches for the last 18 months but due to several unfortunate events we've had to make multiple trips to Seddon Vet Hospital. Each and every time we've received nothing but the best care and service. They've helped us through a fractured leg, two dog bites, an ear infection, rashes/hot spots, muscle strains, vomiting/diarrhoea as well as vaccinations, worming/flee treatments and desexing. If it wasn't for them we probably wouldn't have purchased pet insurance as quickly as we did. In doing so we have now saved thousands of dollar (thanks Russell!). I could not recommend Seddon Vet Hospital enough and appreciate everything they have done for us and our beloved hound and terrier. Thanks SVH team!

Exceptional. Clean, quiet when I visited. The staff are always warm and sincerely caring. Cindy was FANTASTIC!!! She was the most gentle I've ever seen any veterinarian when assessing the degree of my cat's arthritis issues where others before have been clinically rough. Her bedside manner is THE BEST I've ever witnessed. Hats off. Can't express recommendation enough!

Have tried a number of vets over the last four years and this is by far the cleanest, friendliest, and most thorough. Very patient with all my questions and take the time to familiarise themselves on the pets' previous visits so you don't have to repeat yourself each time. Is now the only vet I would use for my dog.

The friendly team at Seddon Vets are amazing!
Our dog had already undergone surgery twice at another clinic to remove a grass seed, Dr Cindy Turnbull at Seddon Vet Hospital operated only once with a far less invasive procedure and removed the grass seed. We couldn't thank her enough!
A few months later we almost lost our cat to an intussusception of the bowel and Dr Russell Croser performed emergency surgery and saved our little girl!
Their follow up care after surgery is amazing, checking in with us to make sure our beloveds are doing ok.
We highly recommend Seddon Vet Hospital to all our friends and family.

Seddon Vet Hospital goes above and beyond when it comes to the care of their patients. My dog suffers from a blood clotting disorder. Recently when he was on the verge of requiring a blood transfusion, for 5 days Cindy, Gabby and the rest of the staff nursed him back to health. They saved his life and for that we are forever grateful.

This was my first visit to this vet. Vet Shelly was fantastic. Took a lot of care and time examining my dog and explaining information to me. My dog was obviously relaxed as he laid down at a vets for the first time ever.

They are caring, approachable, extremely thorough and generous with their time and easily able to accommodate emergency appointments.

We've only had our two pooches for the last 18 months but due to several unfortunate events we've had to make multiple trips to Seddon Vet Hospital. Each and every time we've received nothing but the best care and service. They've helped us through a fractured leg, two dog bites, an ear infection, rashes/hot spots, muscle strains, vomiting/diarrhoea as well as vaccinations, worming/flee treatments and desexing. If it wasn't for them we probably wouldn't have purchased pet insurance as quickly as we did. In doing so we have now saved thousands of dollar (thanks Russell!). I could not recommend Seddon Vet Hospital enough and appreciate everything they have done for us and our beloved hound and terrier. Thanks SVH team!

Exceptional. Clean, quiet when I visited. The staff are always warm and sincerely caring. Cindy was FANTASTIC!!! She was the most gentle I've ever seen any veterinarian when assessing the degree of my cat's arthritis issues where others before have been clinically rough. Her bedside manner is THE BEST I've ever witnessed. Hats off. Can't express recommendation enough!

Very patient with all my questions and take the time to familiarise themselves on the pets' previous visits so you don't have to repeat yourself each time. Is now the only vet I would use for my dog.

The friendly team at Seddon Vets are amazing!
Our dog had already undergone surgery twice at another clinic to remove a grass seed, Dr Cindy Turnbull at Seddon Vet Hospital operated only once with a far less invasive procedure and removed the grass seed. We couldn't thank her enough!
A few months later we almost lost our cat to an intussusception of the bowel and Dr Russell Croser performed emergency surgery and saved our little girl!
Their follow up care after surgery is amazing, checking in with us to make sure our beloveds are doing ok.
We highly recommend Seddon Vet Hospital to all our friends and family.

Seddon Vet Hospital goes above and beyond when it comes to the care of their patients. My dog suffers from a blood clotting disorder. Recently when he was on the verge of requiring a blood transfusion, for 5 days Cindy, Gabby and the rest of the staff nursed him back to health. They saved his life and for that we are forever grateful.
