As we all know, to entrust our beloved pets with anyone else for any amount of time, is a very big thing....particularly when our animals need surgery and extra special care and would be anxious being away from us. My little girl (Jack Russel X) recently had major dental surgery at Dr. Paws in Wangaratta. I felt worried and remiss as I hadn't realised just how much my dog's gum disease had progressed. She was having a great deal of trouble chewing and her breath was rancid! I was concerned about her having such a lot of work done, particularly since she's now getting on in years. The team at Dr. Paws were so welcoming; Dr. Mandy reassured me instantly, and completely. Aside from the clinic itself being cutting edge impressive, what really got my attention and genuine appreciation, was the level of care received, not only by my dog, but also that which I received as a pet owner: pre-surgery, during surgery and post- surgically, with information, care and follow up. I had a phone call part way through my girl's surgery advising that more teeth than originally thought should be removed; my permission was sought and readily granted as Dr. Mandy had provided clear explanations as to why this was advisable. A different Vet may have just gone ahead without such considerations of courtesy around explanations for deviating from the original surgical plan and subsequent additional financial cost. Just as I was wondering a little later than this, how my dog was doing in recovery, up popped a message on my phone with a photo of my girl being lovingly held by one of the vet nurses, having been swaddled up in a blanket and snuggled as she awoke properly from her anaesthetic. Our visit to Dr. Paws was our first. I had been to other Vets before and had received reasonable attention and service, but that which we received from Dr. Paws in Wangaratta was quite frankly, exemplary and vastly superior. The team there, led by Dr. Mandy, understood and catered comprehensively across every conceivable aspect of both pet care and customer service. I will not take my dog anywhere else from now. Once you've experienced such expertise and the absolute ideal in Veterinary service provision, not to mention complete peace of mind concerning the animal you adore, you would only keep going back for more of the same. A sincere thank you to Dr. Mandy and her incredibly led team of professional, genuinely caring and highly-skilled staff.
