When I first moved to Knox I visited this vet and was impressed by their kindness and helpfulness. Sadly this is rapidly changing. Increasingly when needing their services I am unsure as to whether I will actually get treated as a concerned owner and be assisted or a blooming nuisance wasting their time and get short shrift. Today when trying to get an appointment for an ill pet felt the vet nurse was very disbelieving of my description of my cat's symptoms and reluctantly gave me a 7pm appointment. As I rely on public transport this is just too late to ensure that I can actually get a bus back home. So I now have to hope that whatever ails my pet will pass over. Time to start finding another vet. Read Less

I am so upset I over this as I have been going to this vet clinic for a while now and previously got dental work spending $800. I went in there with my dog who I suspected had an ear infection and I wanted to take her in to get this confirmed and get some antibiotics to treat this. She was diagnosed with a ruptured ear drum and and I was told that her ears were clean, as I asked as prior to the appointment I wiped the ear down with cotton ball and brown coffee grind like stuff was coming out and she had an odour from it and not to mention she had a head tilt which also concerned me. Anyway the vet said yes it's clear just the rupture and then she took about half an hour trying to find out weather or not it was safe to give any medications or lotions to clean her ears and she came back with a no answer. So went home and its been 4 weeks or so now as she was seen in November and because of Christmas can't get in, so I called today and as it was them who have miss diagnosed this I still have to pay a consult fee which to me is ridiculous. I will never again come here and I am also going to let people know of this' because of this vet my dog may be seriously ill sorry but its the truth and I am very upset over this, trying to get my dog some professional help and all I get is stuffed around and miss diagnosed, it was a new vet there not sure of her name she had an American accent. Anyway beware! Read Less

To Kent, Aimee and staff at Knox Veterinary Clinic. I just wanted to thank you all for love and care over the past 13 years for my gorgeous boy Buddy. Kent, I cant thank you enough for your care and support over the last year especially, going out of your way to give Buddy the injections and save the agony of the car drive, just amazing you have been and we were all most appreciative, most importantly on the day he went to heaven. So professional and caring you both were. Thank you for the beautiful card also. There was one funny story I can share with you some years ago when Buddy was extremely energetic and you had the pigs ears on the bottom shelf, I came one night after work, was in my heels and Buddy spotted the ears and proceeded to pull me toward them, being a retriever he got what he wanted, I was stumbling everywhere in my heels, trying to pull him away. I turned behind me to see a little Chinese man laughing his head off at the commotion. You can imagine the embarrassment and I remember I was not impressed with Buddy's manners but that was typical of him. Once again, thanks so much I will never forget your kindness. Have been going there for a few years but found their recent care not up to standard, especially with the younger female vet who totally misdiagnosed my dog over several months. Had to go to another vet (who was excellent) and the first visit there my dog was diagnosed straight away. Unfortunately during the misdiagnosis, (my dog had a fairly large tumour), we may have lost valuable time! Not happy! Will never go Knox Vet Clinic again and won't recommend them. All the vet did there was get me to buy expensive dog food which did nothing at all to lessen my dog's condition. Read Less

The Knoxfield Vetinary Clinic located on Lynne Avenue in Wantirna South is an awesome place to take your sick pets. I have been taking my dogs there for as long as I can remember and have always received exemplary service. There are currently four vets and six nurses on staff and they are always really friendly. They treat all kinds of animals including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, reptiles, rodents, guinea pigs and ferrets. They provide general check-ups as well as more generalized services like radiology, ultrasound and surgery. My dogs tend to love it because they get given treats from their favourite vet Dr. Kent Marshall. He has treated all three of my dogs over the years and always remembers my family when we turn up for various problems like getting the sock my dog swallowed removed from his tummy - yep, that was an embarrassing visit! The clinic has a yard around it where dogs can have one last toilet stop before their appointment and stretch their legs. Inside there is a waiting room, which gets pretty lively when there are a lot of pets. There are pet toys and accessories available for sale in here as well as pet food. Behind the counter is well stocked with various medications that you may purchase upon recommendation from one of the trusted vets. Vaccinated puppies aged between eight and sixteen weeks are eligible to participate in four-week long puppy school. At only $77 for a four week course taught by the really nice vet nurses this is awesome value and your puppy will have a heap of fun meeting the other dogs. Covered in colourful cartoon murals this place is really fun to go to as a kid and animal lovers will enjoy the short interactions with different kinds of pets in the waiting room. The clinic operates from Monday to Friday 8am - 8pm, Saturday 8am-3pm and Sunday 10am-12noon. They are closed on Christmas Day and Good Friday. Read Less
