A quality vet that gives specialised care to small and unusual or rare pets however brace yourself for the bill. Enormously expensive and yes, I mean very, very expensive…..we have had various animals treated at Warranwood and each time the treatment was well in excess of $1000. The last round of treatment ran a bill of $1500 for a non surgical procedure not including meds. My real concern is, these prices make it extremely hard for the “normal” person to afford (who is not a subsidised sanctuary or animal shelter) and therefore can’t help but wonder that many animals are put down or neglected due to these inhibitive prices.
My advice, don’t get your child a rabbit or similar small exotic pet unless you are prepared to pay the hefty price when they become unwell……
Please look at your pricing guys as it has become inflated and unrealistic and sadly it is the animals that will ultimately pay the price…

I telephoned for an emergency with our rabbit, they said they were booked out, I said I think he may die, they just said call an emergency centre. We all know they only have knowledge of dogs and cats...
I telephoned for an emergency with our rabbit, they said they were booked out, I said I think he may die, they just said call an emergency centre. We all know they only have knowledge of dogs and cats and they will just charge me a bucketload and he will die. I asked whether they knew of any other clinic that I could go to and they refused to help me. So I googled and found a clinic/hospital who has a veterinarian with many years of experience treating rabbits, they said while they are booked out I could come over and they will fit me in! I walked in and they dropped everything to see my rabbit. Will never go to Warranwood Veterinary Clinic. I know Wannranwood will write a response and say they do not know of me, that is because you refused to see me!

I gave them the chance to fix 3 guinea pigs, all 3 died. Do they call themselves "specialists" just because they have needles to use on rabbits and guinea pig? In the meantime my animals died and they didn't even did 1 single blood test on them even though they knew that without it they would have die anyway. And guess what? They got paid hundreds of dollars for it 👏

Happy mum of Sugar and Poppet, ferrets, and because these are considered exotic animals Warranwood was the closest that are qualified. They have been very kind and have never shown any ill temper whenever, and on numerous occasions, the ferrets bit and wriggled around. I thank them for everything and plan on continually seeing them for the next ten years or so!

A quality vet that gives specialised care to small and unusual or rare pets however brace yourself for the bill.
