The team at the Ranford Veterinary Hospital have been caring for pets in our local community since 1996. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional veterinary care and friendly customer service and are committed to the health and welfare of your pets.
Our hospital, located on the corner of Wilfred Road and Rangeview Place (just off Ranford Road) in Canning Vale, is modern and well-equipped, and services the surrounding suburbs of Harrisdale, Piara Waters, Southern River, Willetton, Leeming, Bullcreek, Huntingdale and Parkwood, among others.
Our facilities include:
1. Gaseous anaesthetic machines
2. Digital x-ray suite
3. Surgical theatre
4. Orthopaedic surgical instruments
5. Quality dental machines and equipment
6. Doppler blood pressure monitoring
7. In-house diagnostics - microscope, centrifuge and basic urine tests
8. Hand held otoscope, ophthalmoscope, ultrasound and basic endoscope
9. Separate dog, cat and isolation hospital areas
10. Merchandise - a range of specialty diets, flea, worming and heartworm treatments, at-home dental care, shampoos and skin care items, leads, harnesses, pet tags and collars and many other pet accessories

2. Surgery - desexing and other routine surgery Monday to Friday with admissions from 7am so you can get your pets to us before work
3. Vaccinations - dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets

6. Puppy pre-school classes - Wednesday evenings
7. Dietary advice - we stock a great range of Royal Canin and Hills products
8. Weight loss plans

We have been taking our cats to Ranford Veterinary Hospital for many years now and they have always been fantastic. In particular, Dr Kelly Kigour takes care of our two cats, who are both seniors and on medication. She's professional, very kind and a great vet. She takes the time to examine them thoroughly, as well as explain everything and allow me to ask any questions I may have- I tend to have quite a few because I'm a bit of a helicopter parent when it comes to my "babies", but she's always very patient! The practice were also very helpful when we trapped the stray cat that we took care of, Tommy, and bought him in to get neutered, microchipped etc. Unfortunately last year Tommy had to be put down, but every member of staff was incredibly kind and compassionate throughout the whole process.
I can't recommend Ranford Veterinary Hospital enough! Thanks to them for such great care throughout the years.

I love how they remember our puppies when we come back in and the vet Dr Graeme is so lovely, professional and gives advice i can trust (realistic options). The best decision ive ever made to bring my furbaby here and wouldnt ever go anywhere else! Super lucky they are only a 5 minutes drive away.
The best service and care from these vets. Im not one who always feel the need to write reviews but when i suddenly got off the phone i felt i needed the share my positive experience!
My puppy got to some nicotine chew gum and chewed it! He had to be made to vomit, given charcol and iv fluid for 24 hours which meant staying overnight at the vets!! Graeme knew how anxious i was leaving him there. To be delight he gave me a ring at 1030pm to let me know how my furbaby was doing!!! I was so thankful for this thoughtfulness!!!

The Ranford Vet Hospital has very kind and compassionate nurses and Vet's. My baby cat Toshy was cared for by these guys and ladies whilst healthy and during his cancer. They are skilled surgical doctors (a million thanks Dr Kelly!), kind and loving to scardy pusses (our favourite is Nurse Vicki who also does the best cat grooming I could ask for!), an awesome all round veterinary team. Can't recommend these guys highly enough!! Rock in and meet the team for all your pet needs! 😊

Thank you to all the vets and vet nurses, in particular nurse Becky who has given exceptional care to our puppy Zeus over the last week. Firstly having a foreign object stuck in his intestines and then catching kennel cough all in the space of 4 days was extremely heart breaking and stressful. Becky has spent hours on the phone with my partner and I giving us advice and reassuring our concerns. He is now well and truly on the mend- all because of the amazing staff at Ranford Vet. Zeus and I can't thank you enough.

This is my second favourable review of this pet hospital. I have been attending this facility since 2010 and having two dogs, we visit fairly regularly for all their health issues. It has consistently been a pleasure to entrust our precious pets to the staff at this hospital. Every staff member in all these years has been professional, competent, thorough, helpful, kind to our dogs and approachable in every way. The hospital is always clean and it charges reasonably and fairly. I wouldn't attend anywhere else. Thank you for all you do with such care, kindness and a warm smile. You love animals and it shows!

Friendly vets open until 7pm, 7 days a week. I've found I can get appointments quickly, though be prepared for a 10-15 min wait to be seen from your appointment time.

We have been taking our cats to Ranford Veterinary Hospital for many years now and they have always been fantastic. In particular, Dr Kelly Kigour takes care of our two cats, who are both seniors and on medication. She's professional, very kind and a great vet. She takes the time to examine them thoroughly, as well as explain everything and allow me to ask any questions I may have- I tend to have quite a few because I'm a bit of a helicopter parent when it comes to my "babies", but she's always very patient! The Ranford Vet Hospital has very kind and compassionate nurses and Vet's. My baby cat Toshy was cared for by these guys and ladies whilst healthy and during his cancer. They are skilled surgical doctors (a million thanks Dr Kelly!), kind and loving to scardy pusses (our favourite is Nurse Vicki who also does the best cat grooming I could ask for!), an awesome all round veterinary team. From the questions I was asked before taking my rescue kitten home (to ensure I was a responsible owner who could care for a 8 week old kitten!) through to the care she received for the next year whenever she or the other cats in the house needed to go in the staff at Ranford Veterinary Hospital were friendly, thorough and knowledgeable.

More expensive than some, but thorough and thoughtful, which is what you need in a vet

Friendly vets open until 7pm, 7 days a week. I've found I can get appointments quickly, though be prepared for a 10-15 min wait to be seen from your appointment time.
