Our beautiful old cat Pebbles hurt in her back garden by another cat and Anna was exceptional in her treatment. So gentle and caring & Pebs is now much better. We have always gone to Adrian who is the best vet I have ever found but Anna is definitely challenging the top spot. If you are looking for a Vet Surgery this is the one A1 service. I have been going to Adrian for approximately 10 years and, in fact, one of my dogs is booked in for surgery tomorrow, to repair a ruptured ACL. I find the whole team fantastic and caring, especially, towards me, when dealing with much-loved pets when their lives reach an end. The staff are human, they are very busy, they deal with lots of trauma, and WE are very demanding. We do get the best. It is just that we do not see it through tear-filled eyes if there is a complication. Mistakes happen in all areas of life, even in the theatres of our greatest hospitals.....but they are accidents. The positives vastly overshadow the negatives and I will always go here, for that reason. Full marks. Read Less

The staff are nice and the centre is good, but each time i have an appointment i have waited almost an hour after the appointment time to be seen. They need to text customers if they are delayed by more then 15 mins, as if I knew I would have just left home later. Read Less

We had taken our very sick cat in and after being on a drip for 2 days, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put him to rest as he wasn't improving. Of course, we wanted to ask questions before we decided, but we felt the vet was so busy that we were just an irritant to him. After, we had to go and find someone (the nurse is lovely) to take his drip out and to check that he had actually gone. We asked for the bill to be posted out as we just wanted to get him home. The next day we had a call asking if we were coming in that day to pay the bill. It had also been posted out the day he had died-no empathy or understanding whatsoever. I have never had that from any vet. Obviously money is more important . While we completely understand that they are busy with other people's pets and emergencies, this experience was totally unacceptable for us and really quite traumatic. This was our precious baby and we needed to be reassured we were doing the right thing...I'm still not sure we did. It's also rude that the receptionists don't speak English to each other in front of clients. We won't be going back. Read Less

Dr Adrian is absolutely amazing. Really appreciative that he tries the conservative methods of treatment first before jumping in with big expensive procedures. I would not recommend this vet practice. Adrian is a good vet & the vet nurses I dealt with, but that’s where it stops. The other vet there is unsympathetic & rude. They are always late with their appointment times with no apology. They no longer have an emergency vet option. I didn’t find out until I called with an emergency after my dog was bleeding after an attack & had to try & find somewhere else quickly! Another time I had to transfer my dog from an emergency vet to ocean Keys vet. I was still made to wait outside whilst the reception staff could see me. I waited an hour with a drip still in my dogs leg, Eventually I got in with a horde of other people waiting until just after 9am. After asking lots of questions about my dogs illness I came away with no answers or clues. The “aftercare “ is an obligatory text a few days later asking how my dog was doing. No proper contact or follow up. I have now moved my beloved dog to a different vet. Read Less

I found a lump on my dog so I took him in to have it checked out. The treatment I got from the male vet was unprofessional. He never once gave any empathy or compassion and did t even look me in the eye till the end. I left feeling very deflated. I went here as my vet was full.... never again I urge you go else where. In one room there was sick all over the floor it looked like a play room. It wasn’t that busy at the time I was waiting 40 mins for my appointment and no one came to clean it up a disgrace of a vets. This vet hospital is wonderful! I had been having issues with my sphynx kitten for months!!! Took him to doctor Adrian for one consult and a huge weight has already been lifted off my shoulders. Unfortunately my little Pom Andi died at the hands of this vet clinic. My girl needed a blood transfusion but because it was the vets "day off" I was told to come back the next morning and assured me Andi would be fine. Well Andi wasn't fine. Honestly won't be going back here ever again. Rudest receptionists don't say hello just stare at you until you tell them what your there for. Made us wait in a room on a boiling hot day for an hour. We got there 10 minutes early and we didnt get seen till an hour later. Then the doctor didn't tell us what was wrong with our dog he prety much got us moved along and left us without any knowlegde of what was happening with our pooch. So will deffinetely not be going back at all wouldnt refer anyone there. Read Less

We adopted our cat through Perth Rescue Angels (who are amazing and so helpful) just after she had been sterilised through Ocean Keys Vet. She fell very ill within a few days of bringing her home and upon taking her to our own vet, found out the wound on her tummy was badly infected from her surgery. The stitches were also very sloppily done and once healed and after three rounds of antibiotics, remained very lumpy due to the way her skin had been stitched. Whilst I understand this vet conducts this procedure at a discounted rate for rescue agencies, the aftermath of such a poorly done surgery resulted in multiple trips to our vet (which many people may not have the funds for) and a lot of pain and suffering for our kitty. I've taken my dog in to get desexed and had a bad feeling from the start. Little information given and what seemed to be like no respect for me my mum or my dog. Never introduced them selves to my little girl before they grabbed her parts and wouldn't even explain what they were doing.came back at 3 to get her and waited almost two hours for someone to tell us what was happening and was ignored by all staff. Finally found out she wasn't going home due to swelling and bruising the nurse said and then we got taken to the vet who said she has a bubble where they had stitched her up and they want to keep her in. Went in and saw her with no swelling and blood all over her. Not a pretty sight and words can't explain how terrified she was. They couldn't even get her name right. I had my boyfriend mum and brother go back to see her and got put on the phone as they were getting ready to take her home as the vet said they could. Last minute changes their minds and said they want to keep her in another day . Now my boyfriend is a very positive person and never wants to think bad of anyone but he was ready to lose it after dealing with the staff. Good price but not a good job. I'm never taking an animal back here again I'd rather pay $600 to go tovetwest and have them treat me my family and my dog well than to pay $380 and have it come out much more complicated than what it has been. I've been heart broken over this whole experience and can't wait for it to all be over. Read Less

Ocean Keys are amazing and Dr Adrian is one in a million! They are caring and compassionate even when they are flat out busy. Yesterday they fit my sick little boy in even though they were fully booked and this morning I get a text message from Dr Adrian asking how he is doing! I have multiple pets and have been to many vets over the years and not one has ever done so much for me. I love Dr Adrian- he is absolutely awesome and my sick little boy adored him as well. Dr Adrian really cares about the health and wellbeing of your furry friends (sometimes fiends!).He often sends text messages to follow up after appointments or sends helpful tips.Finding a really good boarding kennel is difficult but my pet has always been perfectly looked after and she always comes back relatively happy (well who would like being separated from their "slave" and confined for a week so happy enough) but she is never skittish like she has been after other kennels.The boarding rooms are spacious, indoors, air-conditioned and the animals get plenty of exercise time.Sometimes the appointments will run late but Dr Adrian has always given me a discount when this occurred (hey GP's could learn a thing or two!)The ladies on the desk can seem a little abrupt at times (especially on the phone) but you realise it isn't personal rather personality and they are lovely people I drive long distances since moving to continue seeing Dr Adrian as I know my pet will always be looked after Read Less

I noticed how sweet the Vet Adrian was and very caring too.. he was kind enough to give my dog some free tablets for his diarrhea. Unfortunately, I can't say much about the staff there. don't know the name of the other vet but he seemed abrupt. The front ladies are not friendly and yes, I am one of them who got charged more than I should have for a procedure I didn't ask for and eventually got the difference back. I've lived in two countries in my 56 years and, during that time, I've had many pets........and many vets.None, however, can come anywhere close to Adrian's team at Ocean Keys. I pass several Vets just on my way to get to this one and I have to tell you, I would travel much further if I had to. It's worth it.What I really like about these people is that they do not just care for my pet. They care for me and they understand how traumatic it is when you are caring for a sick animal. In the case of my poor, old cat, he passed on to Animal Heaven yesterday and I had nursed him daily through diabetes, tumours, you name it.Every detail of his condition was explained to me and his treatment plan was communicated in terms I understood.Yes, I miss him terribly............but I know that by having him cared for by Adrian and his incredible team at Ocean Keys, that I gave him the very best life and love that knows no end.The staff loved my cat, too.
