The male vet was so nice to my dog Brandy. She was so scared from other vets we went to in the past that she went to, she went to the toilet everywhere the male vet cleaned it up and he didn't make a fuss. He made Brandy feel so welcomed and even said to take her muzzle of that other vets made her wear in the past. So she would feel comfortable and gave her pats and she was so comfortable by the end. The price was so good I left feeling so happy and felt like Brandy was in good hands at this vet hospital that's why I'm giving 5 star.!!! Went here couple days ago with my kitten. I was absolutely appalled with the service. Firstly the reception lady was very hard to hear over the phone and didn't have the time of day to speak with me, saying she will get what she needs later. Come in with a 45minute wait when i was the only one there. Finally go in to only being in for 5-10 minutes. Checked no vitals, only asked the symptoms. Gave antibiotics even though they said it's probably a flu or cold and will past in a few days and antibiotics wouldn't work anyways? Very obvious only wanted the money. I would definitely not come here again. Plus the kitten deteriorated over the next two days ended up taking him to another vet and he's doing a lot better. Thanks for nothing. Read Less

Last week we made a difficult decision to put our cat to sleep. She was +18 years old, very frail & weak, we gave her time, hoping she would pass away at home but she struggled on. Caroline (& the team) at Vital Vet Animal Hospital, Coolamon helped us and Pebbles make her transition, gently and peacefully. I need to thank Jenny and the beautiful staff at Vital Vet. We had to say goodbye to our beautiful old Buster on Tuesday which was very difficult. The love compassion care and support provided by all the staff is second to none. The team at Vital Vet are honestly incredible, the most compassionate people i have ever had the pleasure to hand the trust in caring for my fur babies. I was a wreck having to say good bye but i was not rushed, they were just beautiful. I have had pets for many many years but never have i come across such professional caring kind considerate knowledgeable people. I have no doubt if you are a paying customer they are great, but if you go in with a stray dog asking them to see if it has a chip then they really are not that very obliging or polite. The dog was taken off me to the back and then I was abruptly told that they would call the owners as it had a chip. I went in wanting the chip number to call the owner myself. Very often the same dog goes missing, and if I was allowed to obtain the details of the owner I could quickly take the dog home next time saving myself time and the dog stress. Naturally the finder of a stray dog likes to know the animal got home safe and sound. Read Less

My dog was booked for a simple twelve week immunisation and we sat while people off the street walked in and was speaking to the vet forty five minutes later still nothing so we had to book an appointment at the other vet where five thirty means five thirty very disappointed. Read Less

I just cannot believe how blinking amazing this Vet practice is. I have had them deal with my past dog Mitchie when she had cancer. My beautiful Ridgeback Willis when he had severe dodgy back legs and my amazing Poppet who got reversed over and broke her pelvis in 3 places when she was a puppy. They HONESTLY care about myself and my pets (and I am a 'crier', poor things dealing with me as I am an emotional wreck!). Everyone there is totally professional and you can see they truly care for the animals. I had to unfortunately take my beautiful rat, Angie, there last week to be euthanised and cremated as she has a tumour that erupted. They never once made me feel like an idiot because 'it was just a rat' and they all handled the situation with sincerity and love and which was TOTALLY mind blowing is that they sent me a condolences card. Our very difficult boy came in today as his paw was swollen and he was unable to walk Barry handled him so well and gave us excellent advice - he actually took the time to explain everything to us instead of just rushing us out the door. Could not be happier with Vital Vet. We've been visiting for over 6 years with our 2 doggies and have not once had a bad experience. We are treated with care and great attention on each visit. Dr Barry is definitely our first point of call, but i would be happy to see any of the vets or vet nurses should he not be available. The lovely girls at the front counter are knowledgeable and friendly and always willing to offer advice. I sometimes wish Dr Barry was my doctor, he's great. I'd highly recommend them to anyone. Vital Vet and it's team genuinely care for my pets. My pets love the vets and nurses. I understand Vital Vet is busy at times but always follow up my pets care via email and phone calls. The nurses are fantastic and go well beyond and really care. I love the fact Vital Vet will try and fit me in if my pets are suddenly ill as I never watch my dogs or cats when they are sick so the nurses and Vets are more than happy to stay back late for me as I didn't leave my pet sick for a week and demand seeing too. It's a real shame that such a good vet (Barry) isn't backed up by a good team. Utterly rude, uncaring and overpriced. The women on reception need to learn how to deal with people, they really do. Find another vet, you'll save money and get proper care. Now their attitude has helped cause the death of a loved pet, I cannot stress enough, go somewhere else. There are several vets in the area who care about animals, no matter your financial situation, Vital Vet is not one of them. And the more I talk to other people about this practice, the more horror stories I hear.Read Less
