Our 2 labs have been regular visitors at Spearwood Vet for the past year since moving from Brisbane with various issues. All the staff are great. We have seen most of the vets in one way or the other, and they always have plenty of time for us to discuss any concerns or problems. On 2 occasions that I can remember, I have received follow up calls from the nurse and vet when there is a particular concern to see how my dog was going. Additionally they have referred us to specialist vets when required, which is great that they know the limitations of their practice and don't try to push services they don't have expertise in. I would highly recommend the Spearwood Vet to any one.

I’ve been taking my pooch to Spearwood Vet Hospital for the last almost 3 years since he was a puppy. Spent a lot of money on varies things, annual check up and immunisation, worming tablets, puppy training, teeth cleaning, desex op, dog food etc. I had made a complaint awhile back regards to how I was treated by the front desk staff over the phone when I was frantic about my puppy having consumed a chewing gum and reacting from it and how insensitive she was towards me at the time which I was teary about and they apologised for her behaviour. I’ve again experienced the same level of service but this time from a vet! Being confused what to believe about feeding your dog cooked meat verse raw meat as I’ve been told by dog trainers and from doing extensive research on internet that raw meat is best for your K9, when I mentioned to the vet about my confusion, she says - “Your vet is telling you to feed your dog cooked chicken so feed your dog cooked chicken!” and in a condescending tone of voice, which made me feel like an Idiot! I didn’t say anything but just walked outta there after paying $190 for consult, dog biscuits and antibiotics. Once bitten twice shy? Twice bitten I’m outta there!! I found Vet in Hamilton Hill have 5 star amazing reviews from a lot of people about their doctors and staffs being caring and professional so that’s where I’m headed for next visit. I don’t understand how a veterinary hospital can afford to have staffs who are rude, insensitive and condescending which is upsetting to say the least.

Thank you to all the vets and staff at Spearwood Vet Hospital for the care you gave our beloved Bobbi over the 15 years you looked after her. From advice on her to deal with her sensitive skin to the immediate medical attention when she scoffed down a quarter of a box of snail pellets, your service has always been excellent and ensured she had a long and healthy life. Thank you Bec for keeping her well groomed and always making her feel so special. Fantastic clinic. My rescue dog has severe separation anxiety and is also deaf, so it's total chaos when I leave him at the vet. He'll bark the place down until he is dehydrated. Despite this, the staff are always very tolerant and understanding, providing the best care for him. On multiple occasions they have tailored his treatment based on my own financial situation, which I can't thank them enough for. He still loves going there so they must be doing something right!

I was really impressed with this place the first time I ever went, it was clean and professional. However, we recently got our 6 month old puppy spayed. Everything went fine, and we paid the $560 it was for the procedure. HOWEVER once we arrived home with the puppy we noticed she had smelly, dry clumps of poo all over her legs, tail and bum. It was dried solid and stuck to her fur, it had obviously been an accident that happened hours prior. We also checked the car and there was nothing. I was absolutely LIVID they would send her home in this state, she was stinking and I had to bathe her as she was very fragile, it took me ages to get the dry poo out of her long white coat. I just cant wrap my head round a veterinary hospital not cleaning a dog up after an operation...I obviously called to complain and although the lady apologised I did not like the way she spoke to me, denying that they would send her home covered in crap... when clearly that's exactly what they did. Her excuse was that they didn't realise, im pretty sure this is common for dogs and that the age would have smelt, she smelt and they should routinely check just in case. Imagine a doctor or nurse sending a patient home in that state, not being bothered enough to clean it up.
Following my bad experience i was sent a letter from the practice manager apoligising for the experience we had with Nala. She informed me that they had taken the steps necessary to ensure they reviewed the matter with their staff. They also gave us a $50 credit to use at the vets/groomers.
I have to credit that not many practices would offer this as amends. We used our voucher for our next groom, and i was so pleased with how she looked.
I have to say, i was more than willing to change vets, but i feel as though i can't after they dealt with the situation in such a kind and professional way.
We will continue with Spearwood vets and hope that what happen to Nala was an unfortunate mistake and will not happen again.

I've been to the Spearwood Veterinary Hospital with all my pets, ever since I was a kid. From desexing to major surgery when my cat had a shattered thigh bone, to my dog's knee reconstruction, you won't find better than Dr Miller and the staff here.
Knowledgeable, polite and friendly, the staff are always willing to provide advice which has been in the best interests of my pets. The nurses have even allowed me "visiting time" with one pet when he needed to stay in for close to a week. I don't know of many vets who would give up a consultation room for close to an hour so you could cuddle your cat.
No matter how far away I move, I will always book here if any of my pets need attention.

Our 2 labs have been regular visitors at Spearwood Vet for the past year since moving from Brisbane with various issues. All the staff are great. We have seen most of the vets in one way or the other, and they always have plenty of time for us to discuss any concerns or problems. On 2 occasions that I can remember, I have received follow up calls from the nurse and vet when there is a particular concern to see how my dog was going. Additionally they have referred us to specialist vets when required, which is great that they know the limitations of their practice and don't try to push services they don't have expertise in. I would highly recommend the Spearwood Vet to any one.

I’ve been taking my pooch to Spearwood Vet Hospital for the last almost 3 years since he was a puppy. Fantastic clinic. My rescue dog has severe separation anxiety and is also deaf, so it's total chaos when I leave him at the vet. He'll bark the place down until he is dehydrated. Despite this, the staff are always very tolerant and understanding, providing the best care for him. On multiple occasions they have tailored his treatment based on my own financial situation, which I can't thank them enough for. He still loves going there so they must be doing something right!
