Our new hairy guy was in great condition, and his temperament is without any flaws. Socialised, walks on heel and within one day of being homed was sitting with us outside a cafe and sniffing other dogs at the park. My experience with RSPCA Malaga has been excellent so far, I could see how the staff really care about their dogs and how much effort they put in what they do. I could not be happier with my dog and with how patience Sheryl and Nick were answering all my questions, they really took the time to introduce me to the dogs I was interested in and to make sure they will adapt to my lifestyle as a full-time worker. Yes, it is easier to buy a dog, but what people don't normally see is that "easier" is not always "better", the adoption fee does not even cover the desexing, micro-chipping and vaccines! It truly is a disappointment that I have to give at least one star to write this review, as you people truly deserve much, much less. My mother applied for RSPCA pet insurance last year. Despite having conversations about the specifics, a lot of information was left out... Our dog became unwell quite a while after she got the insurance. Our dog began having violent seizures and it was absolute torture to watch. Even though we had insurance, RSPCA did not want to cover a CT scan for our suffering pet. Soon after that, we discovered our dog had a brain tumor and my mother paid for her treatment from her own expenses (and of course, we know vet bills aren't cheap!) and shortly after that, our beloved dog had passed away. But what you absolute heartless people did, was CONTINUE TO CHARGE MY POOR, GRIEVING MOTHER even after our dog had passed away! My mother was pressed to pay insurance for the rest of the year even though she lost our dog. She didn't want to be reminded to pay every single month, so she asked if she could pay everything at once. So they deducted all money for the whole year so she didn't have to pay for the rest of the year on a monthly basis BUT you keep continued charging her monthly after that. My mother had to close that VISA card because she felt like she was dealing with criminals. The RSPCA paid back the money they had taken only when my mother threatened you with a lawyer. My mother truly struggled with the loss of our dog, Maggie. It was a long struggle watching our pet suffer like that, but to have people like the RSPCA (someone we thought we could trust) completely fuck us over like that, is disgusting. For what should have been an already painful and awful experience of losing a loved family member, she struggled and cried much more than she should have because of you heartless people. I hope you bastards eventually go out of business.Read Less

Shame I can't give less then one star as you don't even deserve that. After reading articles on the cruelty & plain heartlessness that your shelter has performed on animals surrendered to you- your shelter should be shut down, fined and those performing & going ahead with the cruelty should be thrown in jail! These animals are better off on the street then in your 'care!' Stand down & hand the responsibility over to an organisation that ACTUALLY aims to do the right thing rather then performing cruel, heartless & malicious acts behind closed doors. Shame on you, I hope your actions haunt you for life!!!!! Read Less

Stand down & hand the responsibility over to an organisation that ACTUALLY aims to do the right thing rather then performing cruel, heartless & malicious acts behind closed doors. Shame on you, I hope your actions haunt you for life!!!!! Read Less
