Friendly, expert vets that only see the unusual type of pets, so know all about their requirements & potential problems. They also offer great advice & are amazing at keeping in touch while your pet is admitted. Have been taking my rabbits there for 2+ years & would never go anywhere else. Love your work team! Really slow to be seen!! Over an hour past my appointment time without even a sorry for the wait or an expected time I might be seen, even when i questioned it I still got no real answer. I had tests run on my pet to see what might be the problem was told 8 weeks Max to get results, it's been 9 now, my bird is dead and still no communication. Only reason it didn't get less stars is the vet was quite a nice person when I did get to see her 1:45mins after my appointment time. Read Less

I brought my rabbit in as she wasn't eating and all the staff were so lovely which made a stressful time for me so much better. They knew exactly what was going on with my rabbit and were able to start her on the treatment she needed! I've been meaning to leave this review for a while now, Dr. Sam I believe his name was, was very good in the advice he gave me on my sick bird. He was super caring and very professional when I had to make the decision to let my little guy go. Last week we found out our Corella had a bone lesion. The UPV immediately organised a CT for her on Monday and once we confirmed that there was no obvious spread to any organs, they proceeded to amputate her wing on Tuesday. Their service has been nothing less than phenomenal. Her recovery has been amazing, which can only be a tribute to the fantastic work they have done. Cannot thank Dr Nicole and everyone at the unusual pet vet enough. With my 4 week old bunny Ivy I wasn't given many options after she badly broke her leg. Nicole restored all my confidence coming up with a number of plans for a fast recovery and happy mobile little fur baby. Being a mum of exotic pets, the rabbit variety. I learned very quickly that proper veterinary care for exotic pets was very limited. Learning of the usual pet vets was like stumbling upon gold dust. They are a practice so rare in our state that they need to be recognized for how special they are. For all those that have a pet so precious as an exotic animal, you will understand the importance of these amazing people. They are the forefront of what is needed. We took our bunny Dash to the UPV Murdoch for a full check up,serialization, immunization and microchipping on Friday. Our nurse Hannah was absolutely amazing! Not only did she treat Dash with so much love and care as if he was her own bunny she also went above and beyond to make us feel completely at ease about the procedures Dash was having. My pink and grey galah Charlie and I came in and saw Dr Coetzee, this was our first time visiting a Vet and I wanted Charlie to get a full checkup. It was a fantastic experience and so nice to meet a Vet that knows so much about birds. It was really refreshing and they handled Charlie so well, gave him a thorough checkup and explained everything to me. It was so nice to know Charlie is strong and healthy and everyone made me feel really comfortable - even tho Charlie was probably the noisiest visitor ever!
