My boy was unwell and I was told it’s because he is 10 years old. I needed answers and needed another opinion, so I was recommended by a few friends to see Dr Tina at Malaga Vets. I don't normally write reviews but this clinic has gone above and beyond for my dog. I cannot thank Dr Tina enough for her expertise in handling my boy’s illness. Her compassion and kindness towards him is something I have not seen before. All staff at Malaga Vets are fantastic. He loves visiting as he gets special attention. Dr Tina and all the staff at Malaga Vet were so amazing in all of our visits over the years with our Labrador Tilly. Unfortunately a month ago we found out she had cancer and regretfully had to have her put down. The support and compassion of the staff was exceptional. At first this place was our go to vet, now I would avoid at all costs. We had our second dog de-sexed here and this was alright. The people were helpful and the result of the procedure went very well. And then we had our cat de-sexed/microchipped/umbilical hernia removed/second vaccination. Firstly, the dosage for the medicine required for the cat wasn't explained on pick up correctly. Secondly, we received a call over 1 hour after getting home from pick up saying the blood results taken were bad and they had to take the blood test after being put under rather than before as the cat was too hyper. This is understandable, however we should have been notified immediately or at least on arrival. We had taken our cat Sassy to different vets over the last 18 years. I found Malaga Vet to be the best I've known. They always found time to book Sassy in to see them ( sometimes with little notice in advance). Their charges are very reasonable and they really treated Sassy well. I never felt they were a business unlike so many different vets out there that really couldn't have cared less. They are knowledgeable, sincere and they treated Sassy with respect. They gave support over the phone prior to the appointment and if it was an emergency after hours, they gave us a number of a Vet open, they even rang us the next day to see what happened- how amazing was that!! In the last year, we were given some sad news that our beloved Sassy was dying. They called us and went through the test results even though it was late in the day on Xmas eve. The veterinarian who called was very sympathetic and gave us all options available to us and Sassy. In the last six months, Sassy's health started to decline, they allowed us to purchase some medicine without even giving us a consult. A few weeks ago, we knew our beautiful Sassy was not going to make it, we made the painful decision that it would be best that she be euthanised. On the day, they allowed us to take our time and explained fully what we could expect. The Vet was supportive and allowed us to spend private time with Sassy after until we were ready to leave. The next few days we received a card in the post from Malaga Vet staff telling how how sorry they were. It was lovely and personal. Malaga Vet was above what we ever expected from a vet and a business, they are people who really car about animals and their owners. Thank you for everything, we are so grateful to you.Read Less

I am obsessive about my Rottweiler and extremely anxious about his health and well-being and have found that the vets and staff always take the time to take my calls and answer my ENDLESS questions and never seem bothered. The vets and nursing staff at Malaga vets are fantastic!! We recently had to have crutiate surgery on our male Beagle (Snoopy) and he's recovered amazingly. In addition, unlike other clinics we've been to, Snoopy can't wait to get through their front door and tries to head straight out into their back room. Thank you for taking THE BEST care of my geriatric cat. Yes she may be old, diabetic, have lost most of her teeth but you treat her like a star. Which she is (but I'm biased!). Malaga Vet use the most modern diagnostic tools to make sure they know exactly what's going on. After a short stay my cat has come home with the right treatment meaning she has put on weight and no longer struggles to eat and drink. I know she had lots of cuddles too. Read Less
