Having an injured cat is distressing, especially if you live all the way out in the country. From the moment I walked in the front door the lovely ladies at reception made me and my cat feel at ease. Dr Tom Hill did a great job repairing my cats luxating patella and his communication was amazing. I was given daily updates, a reasonable price and they were very accomodating with my personal situation. It was so heartwarming to see how lovingly they treated my cat as if he was their own pet. Highly recommend this place and so thankful for their care.

We are so thankful to Rivergum & Dr Gibson for saving our precious dachshund Benji who had a herniated disc. Our little man is back to himself and the kindness and warmth that was shown to our precious Benji and us by the staff & Dr Gibson was wonderful. Highly recommend this fantastic team! Thank you👍😃

Best service, best practice! Dr Gibson and his team has been amazing with our dog Caesar and the kindness and professionalism is far beyond anything I have experienced. If I could take all my dogs here as their regular vet I would but alas this can only be on special occasions. I’ve never been somewhere where my own dog drags me through the door to say hi.

Neil is a lovely man that explained everything to me thoroughly in a way I could understand. I was particularly impressed by his genuine affection for our furbaby. A compassionate and gentle soul.

When my Siberian husky was 1 year old, she got hit by a car and broke her pelvic bone on new years eve, worst possible time. Rivergum were amazing throughout the process, they showed extreme care and experience with the process and procedure. They looked after my furry baby so well and she is now 6 years old and still perfect. No one can ever tell she has a metal plate inside her. She runs and is just like any other normal dog. Thank you for saving my dog x

Fantastic staff....took great care of my cat for broken leg which required surgery! Vet (Dr Neil) was a true professional and explained surgery procedures and risks clearly.

Five months ago, our seven month old Dogue De Bordeaux had trouble walking, let alone running. After a series of tests and xrays, Sir Frank was diagnosed with bilateral ocd. Having never had this bree...
Five months ago, our seven month old Dogue De Bordeaux had trouble walking, let alone running. After a series of tests and xrays, Sir Frank was diagnosed with bilateral ocd. Having never had this breed before we were heartbroken that our long awaited for puppy had a major shoulder defect. We were referred to Rivergum and got an appointment with Dr Tom Hill. To say we were blown away with the compassionate way he treated our boy would be an understatement. Within a month, surgery was performed on both shoulders. Sir Frank spent two nights in recovery which for us was just awful (not to mention quiet, kind of gotten used to the snoring).
The love and attention Sir Frank received from all the staff at Rivergum was second to none. Every follow up visit is the same, Frankie boy is welcomed with open arms and is so relaxed there he even falls asleep whilst being assessed.
To conclude, Sir Franks treatment has been 150% successful and to watch our boy running around like the stupid big ginger he is melts our hearts. The UK might have their Supervet...but they dont have Tom Hill and the lovely staff at Rivergum referral services.
