I have always found Amber Veterinary service very helpful and professional. My only complaint was one evening I went to the vet at 6.50 and it was closed when opening times state they are open till 7pm. Apart from that I have been very happy with Amber for both my cats and dogs needs. Read Less

I can't relate to the reviews below, I'm afraid, although I took them into consideration when choosing this centre. Amber vets are rather pricey in comparison to other clinics, don't keep good records and don't check the animals thoroughly . They saw my cat thrice, twice for vaccinations (which went fine) and another time by appointment, to see what was the reason why my cat kept scratching compulsively. Although they promised they would do some allergy tests should we come back (we had told the vet about it before), they made no notes of it and the second vet, who hadn't seen the cat before, told me I was worrying too much. Now that Timmy's ears are becoming red and sore, I had to transfer him to another clinic, pay for another consultation, etc. 30 simply wasted. Later edit: I gave them three stars, because the first vet was really nice, vaccinated Timmy and gave us flea drops for free. But would still not recommend it for anything that's not routine job, as I wasted a lot of time and money figuring out what was wrong with my cat, instead of simply going to a vet that would give him a treatment. The staff were friendly, the vet spent a long time diagnosing & then ensuring the correct treatment was prescribed, which has not been the case at previous vets practices. The cost of the consultation was cheap considering the length of the consultation & the thoroughness of the vet. The whole experience was unlike any past experiences I have had with other local practices. So relieved to finally get a proper consultation & to be prescribed the correct course of treatment only wish I would of taken my pets to this practice sooner. Thank you so much.Read Less

My cat had snapped his muscles around his knee, the vet said he could operate, but advised that whilst paying a lot of money for him to operate would help it heal quicker it would not be as strong as it would be if we let it heal on its own although this would take longer. He gave us pain killers and told us he should be healed by 6 weeks, and he was, he is now jumping around and being his normal self. As for the lady below claiming about lack of lungworm awareness I noticed at LEAST 5 posters making people aware of lung worm and that was over a year ago so I would ignore her, as she is clearly making stuff up. Despite looking pretty shabby on the outside was actually a very pleasant experience. Took my very first pet for a steroid injection she needs and to get registered and set up. The girl on the counter was obviously rushed off her feet, people kept coming in and the phone was ringing almost constantly, but she still was friendly and efficient. They were great with my cat and helped explain everything to me about the necessaries animal care (boosters/de-fleaing etc very well). Would recommend. Read Less
