When I asked for prices while booking the appointment I was informed that each shot was $20, not being informed that the one injection my dog was getting was actually many vaccinations in one and the injection cost almost quadruple what I was instructed it would be. I am a groomer and I recently had an incident with a dog I was working on that I felt needed vet attention. Because Acadia Drive Animal clinic was nearby, I decided to stop in to see if they would be able to help, knowing they are not an emergency clinic. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful, and said they would be able to help but I may have to wait a while. Fortunately, one of the doctors very kindly took the time to look at the dog right away, assess the injury, and even allowed myself and the dog's owner into the treatment room while treating the dog and explaining what he was doing and assuring us that everything would be fine. Despite the emergent nature of this case, there were no extra fees and the charge was extremely low.For a groomer, there is absolutely nothing worse than having to rush a dog to the vet, however the staff at Acadia Drive Animal clinic all came together to deal with this situation by quickly treating the injury and also reassuring myself and the dog's owner. These guys are the best. My elderly parents have been coming here for years. This past weekend their dog needed to be put down and it was a extremely hard time for them. The family just had our 12yr Old Springer Spaniel, in for a massive cancer tumour removed. The entire clinic was 110% mint. They came under the estimated cost for the surgery. I love Acadia animal clinic and all of their staff. My dog has severe allergies and we spend a lot of time at the vets trying to keep her healthy. The staff at Acadia animal clinic always treat us incredibly well and remember us by name. I feel that they truly care about my dog and her wellbeing and they go above and beyond trying to help us. Acadia was highly recommended to me by my dog breeder, and I have only taken my 4 year old boxer there. They have a couple of vets who are particularly expert in this breed, but frankly, all the vets who've seen my dog have been great. They're patient and gentle with my dog, they listen to my concerns and they really take the time to give me the picture of things. They've even given me advice on how well known training tips might apply a little differently to the personality of my dog's breed, which has been helpful. Yes, I get the feeling these folks enjoy and care about their work, and that they genuinely like dogs. Or maybe they just like my dog especially well. Hey, he is a great dog. Acadia Drive Animal Clinic has been second to none for our family. We currently have three dogs who they are incredible with. They ensure that we get straight in since coming in with all three is a bit hectic and they treat both us and our dogs with the utmost respect and kindness. They take an approach that keeps both your pet and your budget in mind and while ensuring that your beloved pet gets what it needs. We have a pug who had some liver issues years ago and they were conscientious of the amount of necessary and unnecessary care he needed so we weren't billed for tests and visits we didn't need. Our pug has since completely recovered from his liver illness and is healthy and happy to visit Acadia. When we lost our first dog to cancer, Acadia was incredibly compassionate and caring throughout our difficult time. All of the doctors were with us the whole way, encouraging us and hoping our old guy would make it. When it became clear he wouldn't, the vets at Acadia were as heartbroken as we were over our loss. We were given as much time and comfort as they could offer in such a hard time and I know they handled the loss with both professionalism and love. Their pricing is fair and they will go the extra mile for you while taking excellent care of both you and your pets. The Acadia drive animal clinic has surpassed my expectations. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and they are very easy to get ahold of,( unlike the SPCA where they don't answer the phone or your 3:00 appointment starts at 3:45). The Acadia vet is very punctual and ready for my dog when I arrive. And though my dog has been deemed vicious by the city of Calgary, they treat him with the same patience and love they give any other pet. I spent nearly $5,000 trying to make my dog's allergies go away at multiple vets who sent me on a wild goose chase with their special food, or other treatments for hundreds of dollars at a time. Hi We rescued our first dog Isis approximately 17 years ago, or should I say she rescued us. She was only 8 months old and already we were her third owners. Many issues for sure. Shortly after we got Foley at the ripe old age of 5.5 weeks old. Needless to say many people talk at dog parks about vets when Dr. Mikes name came up. Isis with her serious man issues due to heavy abuse was scheduled to meet Dr. Mike. We were put in a room and told to wait, this gave us the time to restrain Isis and slightly block her path to the door. Her " issues " we're serious. Knock at the door and Dr. Mike walk in squatted down and started to pet her head, our knees got weak fearing an incident with this 120 lb dog. INSTANT LOVE is the only way I could explain what happened at that moment. Isis lived to 11.5 years old, 1.5 years past life expectancy. We credit this partly to Acadia Drive Animal Clinic. Foley is now 14.5 years old and still goes out even though he's half blind and deaf. Rokzilla is going on 8 and Ava Darling is going on 4. Elvis and Charlie also go to this clinic. Thank you Acadia Drive Animal Clinic. My poor Taidog had to have two TPLO surgeries on her back legs and a lump removed for cancer. Talk about stress. The staff at this clinic are top notch... in fact the notches don't go high enough. I am so grateful for their expertise, support and compassion.
