My cousin and her 4 children were devastated, when they brought their cat (Bella) in for some tests, to diagnose what seemed like a sudden sickness, only to be informed that Bella was sick with cancer. Bella's condition was deteriorating very rapidly and within two days it was obvious that they needed to put her down. I accompanied my cousin and her kids to Alpine Pet Hospital, as support, and was very impressed with the level of care that Bella had been provided. The "nurses" were so patient as goodbyes were said, and did everything they could to make the transition seem peaceful. We were given as much time as needed to say goodbye and never felt rushed (Granted though, that it was early, and the clinic wasn't busy that day). The room we were in was immaculately clean, and the staff even laundered the blanket that Bella was brought in with. I don't know if this is standard procedure, but they also tested Bella to ensure she wasn't suffering from feline leukemia, which could be passed to Bella's sister Lucy who was still at home. And even though tests came back negative for the disease, being informed of feline leukemia prompted my cousin to immunize Lucy, as a precaution. They also offered a service where Bella's foot print could be pressed into a clay keepsake, and painted custom colours, which provided the kids with a meaningful keepsake.I have a cat to neuter and along with the other review posted here, and my personal experience, I will definitely take my new cat in to be neutered at Alpine.
