Worst vet clinic I've ever had the misfortune of taking my pets to.Nearly killed my Bulldog during a routine neuter because they didn't keep him hydrated, even though I paid the extra money to keep him hydrated. They overstated their competence levels, showed no remorse and left me with a near dead dog that then cost me $20K in surgery to keep alive who now has a permanent hole in his throat to breathe from; all because they didn't give him a drink of water after waking from anesthesia. And before they let me take my choking, black tongued and near dead dog to the hospital who now had a completely preventable grade 3 collapsed trachea, they made sure I paid my bill before I left. Two VERY easy steps could gave saved my dogs life: 1: they could have gave my dog some water after surgery instead of leaving him alone for an hour without checking on him (as they'd noted in his surgical file faxed to the hospital), 2: called me earlier. I was at the vets 11 minutes after they called me to tell me "somethings gone wrong". Their own clinic notes, as released to me from the hospital that saved his life, showed that a full hour had passed before they called me. What went wrong was they found him panting himself into a collapsed trachea, knew it was a matter of not giving him water and instead of calling me at that exact minute, they then tried to take a situation they were not fit to handle into their own hands in a pathetic attempt to save face (not my dogs life). It wasn't until my dog had panted himself to a near dead state that they called me. I could hear him choking from the front door as soon as I walked in, his tongue was a foot long and black, hanging out of his mouth and his eyes were sheer terror and non-coherent.They are incompetent with short nosed breeds, will state otherwise and say "accidents happen". No, "neglect happened" and they're lucky I haven't sued - I'm too busy paying off my emergency surgery bills and the daily dog care my dog now needs to afford a lawyer. A tip, drive a little way down McLeod Trail to Fish Creek Animal Hospital and go to a group of competent, ethical and genuinely caring, professional vets. These Ladies are incompetent and lack remorse, but, their profit margins certainly aren't suffering - just their patients Stick to the nail trims and anal gland extractions, Ladies. You certainly don't know how to give water or use a phone when a surgery goes awry. You disgust me. Read Less
