Took my one year old male cat here for his shots with Dr.gidda, he did more lecturing me on how much food my cat was to receive that informing me about the shots and what they are for. My male cat is far from over weight. He kept looking me up and down and telling me that it’s very important that my cat doesn’t become overweight. Basically implying because I’m over weight my cat will be too. My cat is still a normal weight and I will not be going back. My husband and I brought in our cat, Kit-Kat, for an appointment, this morning. This was our first time at the clinic, and we seen Dr.Gidda (I believe this was his name.) We are beyond impressed. He was very informative, patient, thorough, and explained in a way we would understand. He took the time to talk with us without being rushed, and tend to all of our questions. Wonderful clinic- wonderful staff and vets. I am so grateful that my dog walker referred me to this clinic after I had horrible experiences at other offices. My dog has been seen by both Dr. Gidda and Dr. Sparkman, and I'm thoroughly impressed with the care he's received from both of them. He is a good dog but has never liked going to the vet- they are both understanding of this and very patient with him. They always take the time to answer all the questions I have. I feel that my pet and I are valued clients at Centre Street Vet Clinic. Fair prices, no up selling, outstanding treatment, and we are always greeted with a smile and hello when we walk through the door.  Skilled and knowledgable staff. I want to thank the staff at Centre Street Veterinary Clinic for their caring and support during my recent visit. They treated our 18 year old dog Chloe as if she was their own and like they had known her for her whole life when in fact it was my first visit to the clinic. Worst vet EVER don't bring your pets here. They are incompetent and are only in it for the money. Took my kitten to get fixed here and she hasn't been the same ever since. Full of allergies and scared of everything she won't even cuddle with us anymore. She was perfectly normally and cuddly before she went in. I also took my dog here and she HATED the young vet I've NEVER seen her act the way she did with him as she generally loves all people. He came across incredibly fake and had no clue what he was doing. Read Less

My husband and I have been seeing Dr Gidda for over 20 years. We used to breed boxers. So we have had a lot to do with Dr Gidda and his staff. He is an outstanding vet and cares deeply about our animals and will call us at home to see how things are going. We recently had a boxer who had a huge tumour that Dr Gidda removed that would have cost us three times the price else where. We didn't expect him to live but Dr Gidda took the risk and two months later we have a healthy dog. He is very professional him and his staff and we are happy to be clients. Perhaps the best Veterinary clinic around. They are kind and honest, and they will tell you plain. They were very compassionate and dedicated to my dog, Gabby, who was finally put to rest a few weeks ago. I have taken my dog here a few times for vaccinations and to get neutered. They treated him very well. When one of his stitches got infected after neutering, they removed the stitch, gave me antibiotics for him, and did not charge me for the visit.The vet clinic is nothing fancy - it's very basic - but they have good service and the staff were nice. I had Bella spayed on Friday at the Center street vet clinic. The experience was "terrible" to say the least.the doctor wasn't nice to Bella from the get go! she came in the room didn't acknowledge Bella even once! left the room to get her sedation meds came back in told me to hold Bella's head so I did, and the doc went to put the needle in Bella and Bella jolted back, so the lady said again to me "hold her head" I said "I am but maybe u should acknowledge her, pet her! Say hi" the lady DIDN'T then gave Bella the needle!!! Bella was so upset :( put her in the cage then left. Then I was told they would call me at 12 to let me know how things went, they didn't call me and I had to call at 1:00, the vet said I can't pick her up till 4:00 and she won't take her pain med so I have to give it to her when she gets home. I said "she won't want it from me either" she said "well its not our issue" I said "how is it NOT ur issue? U should know how!!! So she gets sent home in pain???!!! That's b s!! The lady was so rude!!! And continues to b! My sister in law lives next door to the vet clinic (thank god) and went over and asked if she could give the pain med to Bella, the lady let her and all my sister did was put the pill in the back of Bella's mouth and used a syringe to put water in her mouth. She is NOT vet!! If she can do it why couldn't the clinic?? Why would they have let Bella sit there and come home in pain?! My sister was then told that I would be sent home with some cleaning solution to wipe around Bella's wound in a couple of days if need be. I was not sent home with anything but a cone that I paid 12$ for that is broken and they duct taped it but I can not adjust it since it is broken! When I went to pick up Bella the vet was not there and it was a vet assistant and receptionist. They took me to the back to get Bella, while standing there with Bella the receptionist said to the assistant "are you going to clean her wound?". the Assistant replied "no she has been abused so just leave it for Tiffany" (when I dropped Bella off I told the vet that she had been abused before I got her and that she is scared of men, I was asked if she is aggressive and said no she is not, she just doesn't like men. I was then told that there are no men there, and I said that's great she is great with women). I said to the assistant "absolutely not! this is your responsibility to clean the wound before I take her home". After the 2 of them argued in front of me who would do it, the receptionist ended up doing it and Bella was completely fine with it. I asked them both if there had been an issue with Bella as to why no one wants to take care of her, and they both said "no she has been great very nice dog". so then why was she treated so terribly??!! When I took Bella in I asked for her nails to be cut short, when I got her home I noticed bleeding from her paws I looked closer and realized they cut EVERY SINGLE NAIL so short that EVERY SINGLE cuticle/quick/pink was cut!!! They are red, bleeding off and on and VERY sore and bothersome for her! I know that when a dogs nails are trimmed you are NOT supposed to cut into the pink! It hurts a dog greatly! and bleeds alot! I am confident that is why I was told I couldn't pick her up until 4:00 instead of 2:00 because I am sure it took awhile to get the bleeding to stop. They did NOT notify me of there mistake! And I feel at the very least they should have and should have given me something to help with the healing because they are very red, swolled, bleeding at times and causing her great pain! She doesn't even want to walk!! The service from this vet is UNBELIEVABLE! I have never experienced this nor heard of it in this city! I am appaled to say the least and very frustrated and angry! If they could treat her so poorly in my presence how did they treat her when I wasn't there??!! She is not the same, I don't know if it is due to the surgery or if she is depressed but she definetly isn't a happy dog as of yet. She wanted nothing more than to get out of that awful clinic! I was sent home with pain meds for 4 days and she is taking them, not whole but I was told by the vet clinic I could crush them up and put them in her food so that is what I have been doing. I have a friend that had a cat that was taken to that clinic and was misdiagnosed and given meds that changed the cats behaviour completely, he since took her to another vet and was properly diagnosed but the meds given by Center st clinic did permanent damage to his cat. It was about 3 years ago that I first took my cat, Nasdaq, to this clinic. I had him in for shots and neutering. The staff was really nice and honestly care about  the pets that come in. They were gentle with him even though he seemed quite pissed off when I came to pick him up. Go figure!Most recently, I took my littlest guy, Pajamas, in also for shots and to be neutered. He did really well. We had a hard time getting him out of the kitty carrier but the vet didn't mind and took her time with him. One of the staff called me after the surgery to let me know he was ok and I could pick him up later. They also called me the next day to make sure Pajamas was eating and drinking and see if there were any concerns. They really do provide great customer service here. Just last week, we were back in for a couple more shots. Again, the vet was great with Pajamas, explaining everything and letting me know when he'll need to come back. As far as the prices go, Centre Street is very reasonably priced. I checked out some other vet clinics which were more expensive. I liked the fact that they were willing to do the blood tests same day of his neutering. Other places won't. I guess it's because here they have the equipment and can get immediate results. I'll definitely take my boys here again as the customer service, hours, convenience and quality of care are simply fantastic. Read Less
