came in as the place is advertised as a Hospital. not the case. I had to take my sick puppy to a place that allows walk ins. not sure why it is called a hospital. the person out front was useless like the "hospital". next time I will book him being sick to have a slot. Read Less

Yesterday I found my 3 month old golden retriever in the back yard playing fetch with himself with a rock he dug out of the garden. Immediately after, he started choking, gagging and seemed to be struggling to breath. I immediately tried the basics, got in the truck and started driving and calling my vet, copperfield vet clinic...who advertises as an emergency vet, I’m in tears explaining the situation. The receptionist comes back on the phone to tell me that the doctor said she doesn’t have time to see him, they could see him MAYBE tomorrow but Thursday for sure..... WHAT?! He could choke to death!....I ask...well can I at least talk to the vet and perhaps get some pointers or suggestions on what to look for or what to do with him?? The receptionist said, no we do not do that sorry, we have to see him. So away I go to the other emergency clinic(Fish Creek Veterinary clinic)....ran in with him in my arms, he’s gagging and trying to vomit, fluids coming out of his nose and mouth.....they immediately scooped him out of my arms and rushed him back before even knowing our information...I didn’t even call on the way and we had never even been there before. Within 15 minutes we got a diagnosis and medication and were on our way home...... The advertise as a emergency clinic yet only had one doctor on staff yesterday and they didn't even make an attempt to fit us in... IT TOOK 15 MINUTES! For this reason, I have lost ALL faith in this clinic and I will no longer be using them to care for my animals, nor will my friends. I want to know that when my clinic is open, I can rely on them! I can not rely on this clinic and they proved that yesterday! - Take emergency services off of your website because you CLEARLY are not equipped/staffed properly to provide that service! Read Less

I had a great experience. They were super helpful and my cat loved them. A super team, the nurse who came out told me of some complications within the spay because of a small cyst on the ovary but it's all gone and she's never been better 😊 at no extra charge and a VERY reasonable price dor fixing and microchip too. Excellent vets who care about your animals. The vet always explains your care options and allows you to choose what you think is best - there's never a feeling of judgement. They have a great system for appointment reminders, particularly for those once-a-year needs like vaccines. I order food for my dog there as well and the order always comes in quickly. The doctors and staff at Copperfield Veterinary Hospital have been amazing. They are patient, knowledgeable and clearly love and care about animals. We have been going to Copperfield for over 5 years. One of our cats is getting older and going to the vet has become an increasing ordeal for him over the years. He fights, screams and hisses, and the doctors and staff not only showed amazing care and patience with him, but offered to come and see the cat at our home instead, resulting in a quick, easy, stress-free appointment. We have also had our other cat in for dental surgery. The initial tests and diagnoses were thorough and informative. The possible courses of treatment were thoroughly explained to us, and the eventual surgery went flawlessly and our cat recovered wonderfully. Scheduling is always easy (even with the home visits) and we get convenient reminders for check-ups, vaccinations, etc. We would definitely recommend them without hesitation. Read Less

We visited here while in Calgary over Christmas. Our dog had an infection above one eye that wouldn't go away. Got an appointment fairly quickly and we were treated very well. The exam and treatment (cleaning and ointment) were successful and cleared up the issue. The service price was very reasonable. Read Less

I moved here about 2 years ago and well my pets are my kids and hard for me to trust many with them and same goes for me little furry people! I searched for some time before some references of people I know pointed me to this clinic which happened to be pretty much at my back door! They are crazy awesome and my cats are so comfortable with them (as best as any animal going to the doctor) and they follow up and give the best advise (not money oriented). I am so happy to have my family be apart of another family that cares! Best experience! I LOVE Copperfield Veterinarian Hospital. When my Veterinarian retired I was at a loss until I found Copperfield. I live in Bowness and will happily make the trip especially when my rather large fur family is looked after with such care. They never push unnecessary treatments and will use their expertise to avoid unnecessary procedures. They are extremely knowledgeable and amazing. During my fostering years I brought many of my foster cats and dogs to Copperfield. More than a few of them saved their limbs and lives by my decision to put them in Copperfield€s hands. After dental surgery, my cat was given regular allergy injections in intervals of approximately two weeks in order to bring down a severe inflammation of the gums. This inflammation was an indication of an allergic reaction that was never specified by the vets at this clinic. According to a second opinion by an allergy specialist at a different pet clinic, the medication that was given to my cat to relieve allergies should've never been administered since it causes diabetes in cats if given over longer periods of time. Hence, I spent money on medication that could've caused my cat additional medical problems. The least that I should be able to expect in this case is a reimbursement for the unnecessary and unhealthy allergy injections. NOT RECOMMENDED Read Less

I find this veterinarian hospital one of the top notch vets. They look after my dogs with sensitivity and caring. They have a terrific bedside manner towards my puppies. Was very happy with the services at this vet. Front end staff was friendly and conversational. The vet spent a great deal of time with me discussing and recommending. I did not feel he was pushy at all. He appeared conscious of my money and understanding to keep costs down. I didn't feel like I had to do or buy anything un-needful. I was impressed with his recommendation of food to balance the ph of my dogs urine. He was very polite and personable. I had been to a small town vet for many years and I felt like this is more of a home town vet. I felt more important here and less of a number than ever. Thus hospital is under new management! THE NEW VET IS COMPASSIONATE & ACTUALLY LOWERED THE PRICES. Dr. Natalie Goldberger took care of my 2 month old pup who was very ill. Not only did he get better, but she even called me on her time off! You cannot ask for a kinder, sweeter person who cares as much for people as she does her animal patients. The old vet who got terrible reviews (even her staff didn't like her) is gone! Give this place a try - you won't be sorry! We are ready to look for a vet that treats the animals with more compassion and respect for the owners. We have 2 x 5 months old puppies that  are now sick with diarrhea as a result of the vaccination. After several visits paying for lab fees and recommended food and follow up visits, the puppies are not getting better. Every time they recommend another treatment, the dogs get sick. Their approach is not with diagnosis but rather the shotgun approach even though we paid handsomely for the diagnosis.A quick update, since we stopped coming here, our dogs are now healthy as we're provided with solid information from our new Vet. I am very upset at this clinic because I feel they took advantage of our ignorance being new to dog ownership. It seems all they saw was dollar signs. Sad really.....stay away if you love your pet. We were bringing fur ball 1 and fur ball 2 to Copperfield Veterinary Hospital for about 2 years.  There's nothing WRONG with this clinic, they just don't go above and beyond the call of duty. The Vet here doesn't have much for bedside manner, so to speak.  It's kind of get you in, get you out, who cares what your animals' or your names are, thank you for the money.Do vets REALIZE how much their services cost?  Why not shake our hands and say "Hello, thank you for choosing our clinic, who do we have here?"  Another issue I've had with this clinic is the receptionists were different every time I came.  I don't think I've ever seen the same receptionist twice.  What does that say?  No idea.  Regardless, I wasn't a huge fan even BEFORE I found out how clients should be treated from another clinic.  If you live in Copperfield and don't want to drive an extra 5-10 minutes to another clinic, by all means, but if you want you and your pets to be treated like gold, check out some others places.7/30 Read Less
