All my paper work was filed under the wrong dog. They put my rabies vaccination and shots for my dog under another client. When they called to follow up with missing my appointment, which I didn't they just marked me as someone else they didn't even know they put my information under the wrong account. After requesting the proper documentation they sent me a blank form with no information on it. When I called back to again get the proper documentation not under a different woman and dog with the rabies vaccination numbers on it they acted annoyed. When I called again because I had requested a receipt with my proper information on it they told me they couldn't give me one with the right amount because of the way it was put in the system. When I said I needed a receipt that matched the amount they were given from my account, they acted like I was inconveniencing them.Further more I paid for an exam and he didn't even check his teeth. When I mentioned that his ears had been bothering him he barely looked and said they seemed clean but because he was anxious that's as far as he would go. Now I need to have another exam done because his ears are still bothering him. My dog is not at all a threat, and like a lot of dogs expresses a bit of anxiety upon going to the vet. He was very well behaved and gentle with everything the vet did.

Would not recommend this clinic. Had the most unprofessional experience when taking my dog in for his scheduled shots today. Conveniently located near my house I was fine paying the elevated pricing for the services they offer but having a vet essentially tell me to leave as he walked into the check up room because my dog barked at him and he was "having a bad day" and didn't want to deal with it , left a bad taste in my mouth. A friend recently had a different poor experience with her dog as well. Getting the wrong paperwork given to her for her appointment and having the receptionist call her to tell her as she was leaving after her appointment had finished that she had missed he scheduled appointment .To top it off when I called to cancel the neuter I had scheduled two weeks from now the receptionist again was very passive aggressive. Will look else where for the services I require and would not reference hem to anyone one I know very disorganized and poorly run

I adopted a cat from the Calgary Humane Society and brought the kitty in for a vet check up. My kitty was very nervous as he had been abandoned twice and hated being in his carrier. The receptionists offered to put us in a room right away so he could get out of the carrier!
Joe was absolutely fantastic! He answered all of my questions and took the time to get to know me and my cat. I never felt rushed. The receptionists are also amazing. They go above and beyond and do whatever they can to help. I called in regarding a concern/question and Joe called me back the next morning and answered all of my questions.
I love my little cat a lot, he is part of the family and I probably worry too much, but they are very understanding which I greatly appreciate!
They are a very caring vet clinic and I wont be going anywhere else. :)

9 Ave Animal Clinic is a tiny clinic but filled with staff with big hearts. We had only gone for routine check ups with our dog Bella up until recently. She had a concerning looking growth on her paw that didn’t respond to antibiotics. Following an X-ray to confirm it wasn’t affecting the bone, Dr. W recommended to watch it closely as he believed it might go away on its own. Sure enough, The growth disappeared over two weeks and Bella is back to her crazy zoomie self. We appreciated the conservative approach the team took, and the follow up phone calls they made to make sure things were progressing well. Overall very pleased with our experience at the Animal Clinic!

We took our new puppy to the Animal Clinic for an initial check up as well as his vaccinations. Our puppy was quite nervous and scared even of being in new, unfamiliar places. The vet and staff were phenomenal with our puppy, offering him treats and giving him the space to warm up to everyone and everything. As new puppy owners as well, the vet was amazing at providing us with some general guidance and tips for raising our pup. We will definitely continue to go to the Animal Clinic.

We came to Animal Clinic through an Internet search. Our 15 years old Maltese had an abdominal nodule that would possibly require surgical removal. At her age and after four large surgeries we were deeply worried with a bad outcome. We needed someone we could unconditionally trust. When we first met Dr. Joe we felt all our worries being dissipated. We met a very humane and compassionate professional. The extensive file of our dog had arrived just the day before but Dr. Joe had read it all and knew all small details. It was impressive. He discussed at length all alternatives. We decided for a surgery. Next day he, personally phoned to report the analytical data and again he commented about all parameters. This person-to-person approach and getting information from the doctor himself over the phone had never happened to us before. The surgery went perfectly well and she recovered very quickly. This was, by far, our best and unique experience with post-surgical interventions response. Three days after Dr. Joe phoned us to report the biopsia results. We are extremely grateful to Dr. Joe and to all the staff at Animal Clinic for the top professional and compassionate care they dispensed to our little Daphne.

The staff greet you with friendly smiles and look at you when you walk in. Now, that's a welcome. Dr. Joe is excellent. He's not a boaster or a braggart, but boy does he know his stuff! The technicians are excellent and thorough. I highly recommend 9th Avenue Animal Clinic.

I recently moved back to Calgary so I needed a reliable clinic to take my terrier and tuxedo cat to. 9th ave Clinic was great - I was able to simply have my other vet from the states email over all their records and make sure they were all up to date on their shots and squared away. It was nice that they took the time to review all the info they got for me and sent ME an email so I knew what they were due for. Its the kind of place i have piece of mind taking my fur babies to:)

Great staff and doctors, great clinic. I was able to get in on a Saturday morning at the last minute after my recently adopted cat's previous amputated tail was agitated. The front facing staff were personable and welcoming and Dr. Joe Waldman was excellent with my feline friend, addressing my concerns in a professional manner. There was no rushing or hasty examinations. Pricing was reasonable and my cat's well being was at the centre of attention of both the doctor and front facing staff. I would absolutely recommend this clinic and will be going back myself!

I brought my recently adopted kitty here for a check up and his second round of vaccinations. I thought the staff at the front were excellent. Very nice and accommodating. I like that they have free patient parking so there is no need to worry about finding a spot downtown.
Dr. Waldman did the exam and I thought he was great. He seems to genuinely care for your pet and I liked that he spent a lot of time answering my questions and chatting in general. I didn't feel the least bit rushed.
Since my kitty was a rescue they covered the cost of his first exam and only charged me for the vaccine. What I nice surprise! Only good things to say about this clinic.

I brought Nox to the 9th Avenue Animal Clinic almost ten years ago. Injuries ranged from sprains, cracked teeth, cuts, neck and back injuries, a weird growth, and infected ears. I've lost track of the dozens of visits over the last decade. As a full time working dog, Nox pushed his body like a professional athlete. Dr Joe was always able to help at a moment notice, and didn't hesitate to refer elsewhere for more complicated injuries. Nox still makes the occasional visit in retirement, and is going strong on mountain peaks at 10 years of age.

Came in to get my dogs bleeding tail assessed. Charged me 120 dollars for a bandage. The "doctor" didn't do an overall check up didnt even double check to see if possibly infected just wrapped it up in 10 minutes. I complained about service went back 2 days later to change bandage and told me to keep on for 2 weeks. Turns out my poor dogs tail was infected the whole time and needed amputation. It's by luck she didn't get sick and infection spread. Terrible doctor and useless staff. Even the North vet hospital had bad things to say.

Friendly and informative staff. I don't usually use a kennel for my cat but needed one after our last visit and one was lended to me for as long as I needed. When I thought they were calling to have it returned they were actually calling to make sure everything was going well and to follow up on the appointment. You can really tell they care about you and your animals.

I absolutely ADORE this clinic! I've been taking my puppy Layla since we got her in July, so as a new 'dog mom' I tend to worry excessively about her and they have been so kind and understanding- they always follow up to see how she is, even if I've just called with a question or something that I think is wrong. Dr. Waldman is seriously amazing and so knowledgeable and helpful, and it's very clear that he truly loves what he does. All of the girls that work there are so friendly and also truly love animals and what they do. Layla LOVES going to the vet and actually sprints inside as fast as she can because she knows she's going to get lots of treats and cuddles! I will be taking Layla here for the rest of her life- I can't say enough great things and feel blessed to have such a wonderful vet clinic for my baby. You guys are the best!

I've had my dog Ollie for just over 1.5 months now and have been to the Animal Clinic twice, both with exceptional service from the staff and the Doctor. Each individual that works here really seems to love what they do and care about the animals and are incredibly kind, friendly and patient. I was forced to take Ollie to another vet to get his shots per the rescue that I adopted him from and it was a deplorable experience with a vet who seemed solely focused on his bottomline versus my dog's experience. I would highly, highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a warm, inviting and comfortable atmosphere for your pet and staff that sincerely care and go the extra mile.

I love the staff at this clinic- really lovely, friendly and respectful. Dr. Baker took great care with our lil' doggie and was able to give us a much better diagnosis than the emergency clinic people did the night before. The service was prompt, it was simple to book an appointment and the location was very convenient for us. I will be going back for sure!Only 4 stars because they don't have all the big equipment needed (like ultrasounds) and it was a little pricey (though I don't blame them for that really, that's sort of the way of pet care).

I was worried when I got an appointment with Dr. Joe after my kitty fell off a dresser and caught his leg in an open drawer. Dr. Joe was kind and patient, giving my kitty time to warm up to him before beginning his exam. He was gentle and took the time to answer all my questions about BOTH my kitties (even though the appointment was only for the one). He then personally priced out the cost of a food recommendation. My cat wasn't stressed and neither was I. I've never had that at a vet's office.The next day, his clinic called to check up on my kitty. I thought that was a great touch! I chose this vet clinic because they are in walking distance of my place, but I plan to stick with Dr. Joe.One thing to note: they do not do payment plans, but they do support insurance. Trupanion pet insurance is my favorite if you are shopping around.

All my paper work was filed under the wrong dog. They put my rabies vaccination and shots for my dog under another client. When they called to follow up with missing my appointment, which I didn't they just marked me as someone else they didn't even know they put my information under the wrong account. After requesting the proper documentation they sent me a blank form with no information on it. When I called back to again get the proper documentation not under a different woman and dog with the rabies vaccination numbers on it they acted annoyed. When I called again because I had requested a receipt with my proper information on it they told me they couldn't give me one with the right amount because of the way it was put in the system. When I said I needed a receipt that matched the amount they were given from my account, they acted like I was inconveniencing them.Further more I paid for an exam and he didn't even check his teeth. When I mentioned that his ears had been bothering him he barely looked and said they seemed clean but because he was anxious that's as far as he would go. Now I need to have another exam done because his ears are still bothering him. My dog is not at all a threat, and like a lot of dogs expresses a bit of anxiety upon going to the vet. He was very well behaved and gentle with everything the vet did.

Would not recommend this clinic. Had the most unprofessional experience when taking my dog in for his scheduled shots today. Conveniently located near my house I was fine paying the elevated pricing for the services they offer but having a vet essentially tell me to leave as he walked into the check up room because my dog barked at him and he was "having a bad day" and didn't want to deal with it , left a bad taste in my mouth. A friend recently had a different poor experience with her dog as well. Getting the wrong paperwork given to her for her appointment and having the receptionist call her to tell her as she was leaving after her appointment had finished that she had missed he scheduled appointment .To top it off when I called to cancel the neuter I had scheduled two weeks from now the receptionist again was very passive aggressive. Will look else where for the services I require and would not reference hem to anyone one I know very disorganized and poorly run

I adopted a cat from the Calgary Humane Society and brought the kitty in for a vet check up. My kitty was very nervous as he had been abandoned twice and hated being in his carrier. The receptionists offered to put us in a room right away so he could get out of the carrier!
Joe was absolutely fantastic! He answered all of my questions and took the time to get to know me and my cat. I never felt rushed. The receptionists are also amazing. They go above and beyond and do whatever they can to help. I called in regarding a concern/question and Joe called me back the next morning and answered all of my questions.
I love my little cat a lot, he is part of the family and I probably worry too much, but they are very understanding which I greatly appreciate!
They are a very caring vet clinic and I wont be going anywhere else. :)

9 Ave Animal Clinic is a tiny clinic but filled with staff with big hearts. We had only gone for routine check ups with our dog Bella up until recently. She had a concerning looking growth on her paw that didn’t respond to antibiotics. Following an X-ray to confirm it wasn’t affecting the bone, Dr. W recommended to watch it closely as he believed it might go away on its own. Sure enough, The growth disappeared over two weeks and Bella is back to her crazy zoomie self. We appreciated the conservative approach the team took, and the follow up phone calls they made to make sure things were progressing well. Overall very pleased with our experience at the Animal Clinic!

We took our new puppy to the Animal Clinic for an initial check up as well as his vaccinations. Our puppy was quite nervous and scared even of being in new, unfamiliar places. The vet and staff were phenomenal with our puppy, offering him treats and giving him the space to warm up to everyone and everything. As new puppy owners as well, the vet was amazing at providing us with some general guidance and tips for raising our pup. We will definitely continue to go to the Animal Clinic.

We came to Animal Clinic through an Internet search. Our 15 years old Maltese had an abdominal nodule that would possibly require surgical removal. At her age and after four large surgeries we were deeply worried with a bad outcome. We needed someone we could unconditionally trust. When we first met Dr. Joe we felt all our worries being dissipated. We met a very humane and compassionate professional. The extensive file of our dog had arrived just the day before but Dr. Joe had read it all and knew all small details. It was impressive. He discussed at length all alternatives. We decided for a surgery. Next day he, personally phoned to report the analytical data and again he commented about all parameters. This person-to-person approach and getting information from the doctor himself over the phone had never happened to us before. The surgery went perfectly well and she recovered very quickly. This was, by far, our best and unique experience with post-surgical interventions response. Three days after Dr. Joe phoned us to report the biopsia results. We are extremely grateful to Dr. Joe and to all the staff at Animal Clinic for the top professional and compassionate care they dispensed to our little Daphne.

I recently moved back to Calgary so I needed a reliable clinic to take my terrier and tuxedo cat to. 9th ave Clinic was great - I was able to simply have my other vet from the states email over all their records and make sure they were all up to date on their shots and squared away. It was nice that they took the time to review all the info they got for me and sent ME an email so I knew what they were due for. Its the kind of place i have piece of mind taking my fur babies to:)

Great staff and doctors, great clinic. I was able to get in on a Saturday morning at the last minute after my recently adopted cat's previous amputated tail was agitated. The front facing staff were personable and welcoming and Dr. Joe Waldman was excellent with my feline friend, addressing my concerns in a professional manner. There was no rushing or hasty examinations. Pricing was reasonable and my cat's well being was at the centre of attention of both the doctor and front facing staff. I would absolutely recommend this clinic and will be going back myself!

I brought my recently adopted kitty here for a check up and his second round of vaccinations. I thought the staff at the front were excellent. Very nice and accommodating. I like that they have free patient parking so there is no need to worry about finding a spot downtown.
Dr. Waldman did the exam and I thought he was great. He seems to genuinely care for your pet and I liked that he spent a lot of time answering my questions and chatting in general. I didn't feel the least bit rushed.
Since my kitty was a rescue they covered the cost of his first exam and only charged me for the vaccine. What I nice surprise! Only good things to say about this clinic.

I brought Nox to the 9th Avenue Animal Clinic almost ten years ago. Injuries ranged from sprains, cracked teeth, cuts, neck and back injuries, a weird growth, and infected ears. I've lost track of the dozens of visits over the last decade. As a full time working dog, Nox pushed his body like a professional athlete. Dr Joe was always able to help at a moment notice, and didn't hesitate to refer elsewhere for more complicated injuries. Nox still makes the occasional visit in retirement, and is going strong on mountain peaks at 10 years of age.

Came in to get my dogs bleeding tail assessed. Charged me 120 dollars for a bandage. The "doctor" didn't do an overall check up didnt even double check to see if possibly infected just wrapped it up in 10 minutes. I complained about service went back 2 days later to change bandage and told me to keep on for 2 weeks. Turns out my poor dogs tail was infected the whole time and needed amputation. It's by luck she didn't get sick and infection spread. Terrible doctor and useless staff. Even the North vet hospital had bad things to say.

I absolutely ADORE this clinic! I've been taking my puppy Layla since we got her in July, so as a new 'dog mom' I tend to worry excessively about her and they have been so kind and understanding- they always follow up to see how she is, even if I've just called with a question or something that I think is wrong. Dr. Waldman is seriously amazing and so knowledgeable and helpful, and it's very clear that he truly loves what he does. All of the girls that work there are so friendly and also truly love animals and what they do. Layla LOVES going to the vet and actually sprints inside as fast as she can because she knows she's going to get lots of treats and cuddles! I will be taking Layla here for the rest of her life- I can't say enough great things and feel blessed to have such a wonderful vet clinic for my baby. You guys are the best!

I've had my dog Ollie for just over 1.5 months now and have been to the Animal Clinic twice, both with exceptional service from the staff and the Doctor. Each individual that works here really seems to love what they do and care about the animals and are incredibly kind, friendly and patient. I was forced to take Ollie to another vet to get his shots per the rescue that I adopted him from and it was a deplorable experience with a vet who seemed solely focused on his bottomline versus my dog's experience. I would highly, highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a warm, inviting and comfortable atmosphere for your pet and staff that sincerely care and go the extra mile.

These guys are fantastic. They are super friendly and have no problems when my cat decides to climb the walls and toss things off the shelves (yes she really climbs the walls and tosses things off the shelves, Dr Waldman didn't believe me when I said she was going to jump up there so we moved the breakable things). He also enjoyed her getting her head caught in the dog treat jar hehehehe. Great services, great staff.

I love this clinic and wouldn't go anywhere else. I came for the 5 star ratings and now have stayed for our first pup now second because of the 5 star experience. From the time we walk in the door till the time we leave it's great.. from the secretaries to the vet, always a pleasure. So sweet and caring. They're always as excited to see the pups as the pups are them. Thanks ladies for the kindness, affordable visits, knowledgeable advice and diagnosis and over all wonderful environment.

I love the staff at this clinic- really lovely, friendly and respectful. Dr. Baker took great care with our lil' doggie and was able to give us a much better diagnosis than the emergency clinic people...
I love the staff at this clinic- really lovely, friendly and respectful. Dr. Baker took great care with our lil' doggie and was able to give us a much better diagnosis than the emergency clinic people did the night before. The service was prompt, it was simple to book an appointment and the location was very convenient for us. I will be going back for sure!Only 4 stars because they don't have all the big equipment needed (like ultrasounds) and it was a little pricey (though I don't blame them for that really, that's sort of the way of pet care).

Incredibly friendly vet! My kitty was abused by a man before I became his guardian, and he has always feared men. I was worried when I got an appointment with Dr. Joe after my kitty fell off a dresser and caught his leg in an open drawer. Dr. Joe was kind and patient, giving my kitty time to warm up to him before beginning his exam. He was gentle and took the time to answer all my questions about BOTH my kitties (even though the appointment was only for the one). He then personally priced out the cost of a food recommendation. My cat wasn't stressed and neither was I. I've never had that at a vet's office.The next day, his clinic called to check up on my kitty. I thought that was a great touch! I chose this vet clinic because they are in walking distance of my place, but I plan to stick with Dr. Joe.One thing to note: they do not do payment plans, but they do support insurance. Trupanion pet insurance is my favorite if you are shopping around.
