Dr. Kerr alongside her incredibly caring and talented team rose to the task of bringing this brother and sister pair of kittens up to date with their nutrition, shots and their spay/neuter within a 6 week time frame. They had a rough start in life and now they are cared for and thriving with the professional aide of the Edgemont Vet Clinic staff. Thanks everyone and we will see you all for Abby and Elmo’s next round of care in a year (except to keep up with their food)!

My 8 month old puppy has had an ear infection since I got him at 3 months and Kai was getting it treated for 4 months at the vca country hills vet. After many many visits and different medications and treatments it never cleared up. Also, after some unprofessional and disrespectful actions towards us from that particular vet, we decided to transfer to this vet. We’ve had two visits here so far and they are amazing, extremely thorough and helpful. On top of that, my puppy’s ear infection has basically cleared up!

Edgemont has been great both times my dog has been in! He got neutered last year and we just had his annual check up. Dr. Jordan and staff have been super friendly, helpful and professional. They are really approachable with questions and my dog was actually so excited to have their attention he didn't even notice his vaccine needles. They also provided services for the rescue we got our pup from and are building a great community.

I'm a first time pet owner and it took me a while to find a clinic/vets I trusted. I am so happy that my friend recommended this clinic to me! The staff go above and beyond to make sure your pets are getting the care they need, if needed. They are so wonderful. I use to bring my old Shepherd here when it was run by Dr. Gerry Olynyk. Unfortunately she passed in 2012, we brought our new dog here in 2014 not knowing the practice had been sold. I always wondered where the nice vet had gone and even requested him with the receptionist and they never once said he sold the practice, i had to find out through google that Dr. Kerr now owns Edgemont Vet. When I brought my dog in for OCD tendencies such as biting light, trying to eat prisms off the wall, etc she recommended putting her on anti depressants which I wasn't receptive too, i wanted a more natural approach. To my surprise, Dr.Kerr chided me and gave me a lecture "Well, are you telling me that if a family member had schizophrenia you don't think that they have a real mental issue that needs to be corrected with medicine or are you saying that you think they need to "suck it up" ' I took my dog in this week because she was itching her ears a lot and asked for someone other than Dr. Kerr. Dr. Jordan, the only other vet in the practice was (very nice and friendly) spent 8 minutes with her, looked into her ears with a scope and said she seemed fine, no obstructions that he could see but if we wanted we could get some ear drops. I asked if there would be harm to use drops that she didn't need and he said that it would probably be fine and if there was any bacteria infection it would fix it up. So I got the drops not knowing that they are $55! $55 for drops that she didn't need plus $95 for an 8 minute visit.

Due to tough economic times, it can be heart breaking and hard to have to cut back and your pet's vet visits. Even though regular check ups at the clinic might not be the lowest price, their service makes up for it. I really appreciated the time they took, and the non-pressuring information on recommended products/long term affordable options that that they provided. I can not say enough about how caring the team at this clinic is. We have been using this clinic for 25 years. Through the last few years of my dogs life I have received nothing but the best care. I was even contacted after hours by the staff to let me know about test results so that I wouldn't have to wait a minute longer than I had to in order to make the best decisions for my dog. I will continue going to this clinic with my new puppy.

It was our first visit to this clinic, and we weren't even asked about the dog's history, especially his vaccine history (we switched, because we felt our dog was receiving the rabies vaccine more often than was needed). I miss Dr. Gerry Olynik - he was kind and truly passionate about caring for animals. Since he left, I don't think I can recommend this clinic to anyone. I have a very sensitive little dog who, in the past year has had three instances of being sick. Of course, in the case of emergency, I hope that her resident clinic would make a little effort to shift appointments to see her. But no, they are too cool to do that. They are also too cool to give a soon enough appointment to see why my dog hasn't eaten for 2 days. Their reply has always been a cold - take her to the hospital. If I have to take her to the hospital every time she shows a sign of being sick, what is the point of going to this clinic? I think for her annual check up, I'll take her to the hospital as well. I can understand if they may be busy, but they are indifferent to the point of being cold. And the receptionist has been rude too - cherry on cake!

We are going to Dr. Olynyk every year for the annual check-up (for my cat), and he is absolutely amazing! He is obviously very passionate about his profession, and he is a joy to talk to and to ask for advice. He always takes his time to explain each step of his assessment and his patience is much appreciated (by owner and pet!). Plus, he never suggests or insists on buying products or having unnecessary procedures/ vaccines, which shows his competence and trustfulness. We just moved far out SW, but continue to drive all the way NW to see him. I can't recommend him more!

The Edgemont Veterinary Clinic is the #1 Vet. Clinic in Calgary, hands down. As some of you know, I grew up in Calgary. I used to live in Edgemont and we took my dog, Misty, to The Edgemont Veterinary Clinic for her entire life. For 15 solid years, the veterinarians at this clinic pampered her with their expertise, their love, their professionalism and the best possible care available today. Dr. Gerry Olynyk is the owner as well as the main veterinarian of the clinic. He is SO wonderful that when I was 13, I asked him to let me volunteer for his amazing clinic. I just loved it so much (and still do) and wanted nothing more than to be a part of this establishment. I volunteered there for a number of years and saw how the business worked from inside-out. I assure you that in every aspect, this veterinary clinic is the best there is. Even when you're not around, your pets are treated with love, affection and respect. They are cared for, they are treated with consideration and they are left in the most capable hands. This clinic is more like a family than a business. The staff all gets along, everyone pitches in with the work that needs to get done and it's a friendly and pleasant environment to be in. From the moment you walk in, and in all the moments that you are not even there, I assure you that there are no two better people that you could leave your pets with than Dr. Olynyk and Dr. Kerr. They love your animals as much as you do and they will do everything in their power to ensure your pet's speedy recovery. I am just waiting to get settled back in, and as soon as I do, the first place I'm going is to pick up a new companion, and the second place I'm going is to The Edgemont Veterinary Clinic to ensure my newest member of the family gets the best possible care around.

Edgemont has been great both times my dog has been in! He got neutered last year and we just had his annual check up. Dr. Jordan and staff have been super friendly, helpful and professional. They are really approachable with questions and my dog was actually so excited to have their attention he didn't even notice his vaccine needles. They also provided services for the rescue we got our pup from and are building a great community.

The staff go above and beyond to make sure your pets are getting the care they need, if needed. They are so wonderful. I use to bring my old Shepherd here when it was run by Dr. Gerry Olynyk. Unfortunately she passed in 2012, we brought our new dog here in 2014 not knowing the practice had been sold. I always wondered where the nice vet had gone and even requested him with the receptionist and they never once said he sold the practice, i had to find out through google that Dr. Kerr now owns Edgemont Vet. When I brought my dog in for OCD tendencies such as biting light, trying to eat prisms off the wall, etc she recommended putting her on anti depressants which I wasn't receptive too, i wanted a more natural approach. To my surprise, Dr.Kerr chided me and gave me a lecture "Well, are you telling me that if a family member had schizophrenia you don't think that they have a real mental issue that needs to be corrected with medicine or are you saying that you think they need to "suck it up" ' I took my dog in this week because she was itching her ears a lot and asked for someone other than Dr. Kerr. Dr. Jordan, the only other vet in the practice was (very nice and friendly) spent 8 minutes with her, looked into her ears with a scope and said she seemed fine, no obstructions that he could see but if we wanted we could get some ear drops. I asked if there would be harm to use drops that she didn't need and he said that it would probably be fine and if there was any bacteria infection it would fix it up. So I got the drops not knowing that they are $55! $55 for drops that she didn't need plus $95 for an 8 minute visit.

Due to tough economic times, it can be heart breaking and hard to have to cut back and your pet's vet visits. Even though regular check ups at the clinic might not be the lowest price, their service makes up for it. I really appreciated the time they took, and the non-pressuring information on recommended products/long term affordable options that that they provided. Katie, my kitty, is also loving the free cat nip toy they gave her.

I can not say enough about how caring the team at this clinic is. We have been using this clinic for 25 years. Through the last few years of my dogs life I have received nothing but the best care. I was even contacted after hours by the staff to let me know about test results so that I wouldn't have to wait a minute longer than I had to in order to make the best decisions for my dog. I will continue going to this clinic with my new puppy.

I felt the veterinarian rushed through the exam and didn't answer my questions in great detail. I felt like we were an inconvenience. It was our first visit to this clinic, and we weren't even asked about the dog's history, especially his vaccine history (we switched, because we felt our dog was receiving the rabies vaccine more often than was needed). Not sure that we'll return.

I miss Dr. Gerry Olynik - he was kind and truly passionate about caring for animals. Since he left, I don't think I can recommend this clinic to anyone. I have a very sensitive little dog who, in the past year has had three instances of being sick. Of course, in the case of emergency, I hope that her resident clinic would make a little effort to shift appointments to see her. But no, they are too cool to do that. They are also too cool to give a soon enough appointment to see why my dog hasn't eaten for 2 days. Their reply has always been a cold - take her to the hospital. If I have to take her to the hospital every time she shows a sign of being sick, what is the point of going to this clinic? I think for her annual check up, I'll take her to the hospital as well. I can understand if they may be busy, but they are indifferent to the point of being cold. And the receptionist has been rude too - cherry on cake!

We are going to Dr. Olynyk every year for the annual check-up (for my cat), and he is absolutely amazing! He is obviously very passionate about his profession, and he is a joy to talk to and to ask for advice. He always takes his time to explain each step of his assessment and his patience is much appreciated (by owner and pet!). Plus, he never suggests or insists on buying products or having unnecessary procedures/ vaccines, which shows his competence and trustfulness. We just moved far out SW, but continue to drive all the way NW to see him. I can't recommend him more!

The Edgemont Veterinary Clinic is the #1 Vet. Clinic in Calgary, hands down. As some of you know, I grew up in Calgary. I used to live in Edgemont and we took my dog, Misty, to The Edgemont Veterinary Clinic for her entire life. For 15 solid years, the veterinarians at this clinic pampered her with their expertise, their love, their professionalism and the best possible care available today. Dr. Gerry Olynyk is the owner as well as the main veterinarian of the clinic. He is SO wonderful that when I was 13, I asked him to let me volunteer for his amazing clinic. I just loved it so much (and still do) and wanted nothing more than to be a part of this establishment. I volunteered there for a number of years and saw how the business worked from inside-out. I assure you that in every aspect, this veterinary clinic is the best there is. Even when you're not around, your pets are treated with love, affection and respect. They are cared for, they are treated with consideration and they are left in the most capable hands. This clinic is more like a family than a business. The staff all gets along, everyone pitches in with the work that needs to get done and it's a friendly and pleasant environment to be in. From the moment you walk in, and in all the moments that you are not even there, I assure you that there are no two better people that you could leave your pets with than Dr. Olynyk and Dr. Kerr. They love your animals as much as you do and they will do everything in their power to ensure your pet's speedy recovery. I am just waiting to get settled back in, and as soon as I do, the first place I'm going is to pick up a new companion, and the second place I'm going is to The Edgemont Veterinary Clinic to ensure my newest member of the family gets the best possible care around.
