We just recently got a puppy and brought him in for his first shots and all was well.  Problems started when we booked him in for his second round of shots.  The vet had told us to come back a month after the first shots and we ended up bringing our puppy back six weeks later.  After 10 minutes with the vet we were presented with a nearly $300 bill, when we had called ahead and been told it would only be $110.  Why the discrepancy?  Apparently, in failing to bring our puppy back at EXACTLY 4 weeks following his first appointment, the first set of vaccinations were no longer effective and needed to be administered again.  Even if that were the case, I believe the clinic should have advised us of the EXTREME importance of bringing our puppy back at exactly 1 month following the first appointment, or at least explained to us, prior to charging us, that our visit was going to be nearly triple what had been communicated to us previously.  We will not be going back.
