I am here to commend two different Veterinary Practices over the same incident. We adopted a 14 year old Border Terrier from a friend who lives in the N.W., which is where he had his dental surgery - at Rocky Ridge Pet Hospital. They gave us his antibiotics and his teeth in similar looking bottles. My 13 year old quickly took possession of the teeth and I forgot all about them. Because this dog eats everything and anything, when I saw him chewing on an empty orange bottle 2 days later, I panicked thinking he'd scarfed down all his meds. Even when I picked up the bottle and it had no label, I failed to recall the teeth. I called Rocky Ridge and they said to take him to Shawnessy(we live in the South) and they would phone them with the antiobiotic info. Shawnessy were puzzled when they couldn't find pills in his stomach contents and he showed no signs of toxicity. I rushed back home to look for pills on the floor and my son reminded me of the teeth.
The Shawnessy vet laughed and said, "thank goodness...we couldn't understand how his teeth got in his stomache."
The following week I had him back to Rocky Ridge for his follow up. I have to say how nice it is, to know that there are vets who can be as kind to humans. The doctors at both practices went out of their way, to help me feel like less of a moron.
Many thanks to both for helping Marvin out with his rough start with is. As if the geriatric years aren't hard enough. lol

Dr. Chan is super friendly, always very helpful and informative, and always eager to help us come up with different solutions and ways to manage and control our German Shepherd’s skin condition. Clean facility, friendly staff (they will also call to check up on your pet) and Dr’s who really know their stuff!!! 😊

I have a spoiled Westie with separation anxiety who has never been locked in a crate. I was so nervous about having her teeth cleaned and the stress to both me and her. Doctor Charlie allowed me to sit in the room alone with her as she fell peacefully asleep with the anesthesia. He carried her to the back and she was still drowsy when I picked her up six hours later. As a result she would have barely realized I was gone. Her teeth are now shiny white and healthy. Loved everyone there and we will definitely be back. Thanks for the stress free experience.

We have had a very good experience with Dr. Charlie and the whole staff at this clinic. Not only does my timid dog love them, but they are very cooperative, caring, and knowledgable. Dr. Charlie did 2 successful cherry eye surgeries and neutered our dog, and we really trust and respect him not only as a vet, but also as a person. He was very calm and friendly with our dog, and we really appreciate the effort and support of everyone at this clinic, and would highly recommend it for anyone who cares about their pet.

We recently started taking our Yorkie here after moving into the neighborhood and have found this vet to be a couple orders of magnitude better than our last vet. We thought they were decent but Rocky Ridge is great. My dog is still nervous when he visits but I don't feel like they're trying to up-sell treatments like other vets do. When he's had a problem they've been able to see him right away and were able to get him sorted out for half the price I would have paid at my last vet. And they've followed up with a call a few days later after each visit to make sure treatments were working. It really feels like they care about the dog and not seeing how deep they can get into my wallet.

The staff here are great - they take the time to get to know your pets and are very trusting. We recently had to bring our cat here for the first time and the experience was night and day compared to our old vet. We live in the SW and are happy to drive across the city to see Dr Charlie and his staff.
